Unfortunatly this expansion placed too many limits on resting. Mages were already underwhelming in MOTB because as fighter based characters hit their epic levels they just kept getting more and more BAB untill it was broken, while for spell casters the options for beefing up their abilities were either to weak or too expensive. In this game resting is a big deal, so caster's will be both underpowered and have a hard time recharging their spells.
woow I'm at the boss and i ma lvl 14 mage with really insane money...close to 1 mil:))(damn easy to make money when you are the master of all merchants)well as for the boss i think is impossible to kill at my lvl jeeeeeze!!!he hits a lot and have a help too...a kick in ass mage:)) damn
Nwn2 looks very cool, but I was wondering if it is possible to play solo (without a party)? I prefer to play alone, as I did in nwn1. Is it possible to play solo? and do servers usually have players with parties? plz help.
Yea its possible to play alone (or with only 1 companion) But the game would become in the end very difficult and you would miss alot of side quests, fights and story elements. But yea its possible to beat the game solo
the new classes are nice and also the minimap and no-autoresurrection after death.
but the best things are the fully used skills. both during dialogues and adventure. good one atari, I'm gonna buy it!! doesn't anybody know when it's gonna be released?
Looks very promising. Also it's a stand-alone from what I've read. This comes in very handy. After the failed "Drakensang" RPG finally a good buy again :)
damn... i must revoke myself. It's not a standalone game :(. Previews were just dumb confusing and said "it acts as a stand alone" whereas they only meant that it's independent from the other storylines in NWN2. Now I guess I'll wait for Dragonage :p ...
Too bad it's Lvl 3-15. Guess i'd have to edit it too to make it support Lvl 30 chars, did that with my OC to where i can import my MotB chars back into the OC.
Althought the Overland Map with the respawning enemies is kick ass.
I edited it the OC to support Lvl 30 chars by using the NWN2 Toolset. I can't remember the exacts on how i did it, but if you load up the OC, there should be something in there about minimum/max level allowed. I searched for a long time for a mod that did it, to no avail, before i decided to mess around in the Toolset and stumbled upon how to.
WHAT?!?! No premade characters?!?! thats what made half the game........
Im still looking for a semi decent ending on these games... one that DOESN'T involve any of the companions or the main character dieing...

i love that you can create your own team, and the doomguide seems to kick ass against undeads:D i cant wait yill novermber^^

All clerics kick ass against undead easily enough. Making a PrC that does it even better is completely unneeded.

I wouldnt say its uneeded but there ARE alot of classes that excel at undead killing

Do do you edit the OC to fit level 30 chars? Through the edit file or a mod?

max level is still 30 in this expansion no need to edit, it is likely to take out any challenge importing highbies though.
