  • this is awesome ! im taking my bf to this on our anniversary !

  • To those of us who are ourselves severely visually impaired - this isn't that unusual. I am legally blind. I can see some, but my vision is really limited.

  • I suppose it makes sense if you're blind.

  • this is a brilliant idea. this way you're customers won't be able to see the roach in their soup, or the hair in their drink.

  • Awesome! I heard dog food taste good in the dark too!

  • 6:00 FINGERFAIL!

  • i turned off all the lights in my house and made mac and cheese for my gf. saved $200

  • @whitedevil2 BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dude I would so take a sneak-a-toke;)

  • i wonder what ingredients i can taste in my water.lol

  • Ah! I would love to go there.

  • Hah that is awesome. How about no sound either -- you have to wear earplugs? What if you float in a sensory deprivation tank and someone dangles bites of food into your mouth with a string?

  • The guy said he was eating balls of butter... JUST LIKE CASS IN BOOK 3!!! Gingerandsnuggles- IT HAS TO BE THE MS!!!!

  • i hope you get to see the menu before you go in, i hate to start eating and realize im eating something im allergic to

  • I hope their restrooms have lights or else the experience would be rather messy.

  • am i the only one who thinks this is a really stupid idea?

  • Just bought on Groupong for 99 dollar dinner for two. I think my wife will love this for our 8th anniversary.

  • I'm going to open a nightclub without any sound.

  • @secretMachine BEST COMMENT EVER! lMAO

  • i get to do this friday!!!!

  • That is so amazing. I would love to try it--talk about a different perspective.

  • i found once a waitress had fallen on a table and a man had just started to press his fork into his supposed meat

  • thats really col it kind of gives you a sense of what blind people go through

  • in toronto its only $40 for a set meal, appetizer, entree and dessert. the story behind it was that there was a swiss chef who use to blind fold his guest inorder for them to savour the flavours using the senses. you learn to appreciate the food more. and for all those haters, if its so stupid, why is dining the dark popular? people obviously think its a neat concept + the waiting staff is blind. give some support.

  • if you eat a hair you would never know

  • biggest scam everrrrrrrrrr ... wow u would have to be an idiot to d othis.... tell ur freind to make u sometthing and eat it in the dark in ur home if u really wana do it for the experiacne... wow ppl r f-en stupid!

  • u people are ridiculous. boy if you were blind then you would have more appreciation for this. i think this is an awesome idea.

  • are they trying to save on electric bill?

  • Who came up with this idea? ok let's open a restaurant but it will be in dark and everybody think it will be cool. isn't it better to eat with a lot of bright lights?

  • I'm always down to try new stuff, but this is sooooooooooooooooooooo ridiculously stupid. I haver never ever seen anything this dumb in my entire life. Why the f**k would u wanna have food in the dark?? I was disgusted just looking at it this crap!

  • because u r tring to experience what it would be like to be blind and to thank God that u have ur sight.

  • Well then, instead of spending like 200 bux at this place, why don't we just sit at home and eat in the basement with the lights off? That'll let you thank god for ur sight at a much lower cost!

  • This year's Dining in the Dark in NYC is $350/person.

  • I bet a lot of good couple dirty stuff happened in this restaurant :)

  • If you go to chinashopmag . com and look under opaque there's an interesting article on these guys...not all it's cracked up to be...

  • all the article says is that it's super expensive. it seems that the reviewer enjoyed the experience though.

  • Would be funny if the lights went on, and they all were eating Fear Factor "food".

  • I can see it now... Or hear it, "Can you pass me the salt?", "Where's my drink?" "Where's the restroom!?!" ... Though wonder how easy it is to skip out with out paying... Does look interesting, to be honest

  • holy shiznit, what happens if someone starts choking, they're a gonner !!

  • hey man " what if the food is not cook all the way...ull never know...fuuuckkk that..jk..sounds fun

  • i looked it up and a mean is 100 bucks!! wtf? it should be cheap if u cant even see it.

  • A great way to reserve energy...

  • hate to spoil a wonderful idea...but couldn't i just stay at home and eat blindfolded?

  • If I could lipread in the dark. I use light to "hear" them talk (lipread). So if I could just come here and enjoy the dark and the food, I'd like that. Trying to have a conversation with everyone else would drive me nuts. I've known a few blind people and have taught myself to feed myself "in the dark" as if I were blind. Food DOES taste better. The deaf & blind do fine at eating as long as everyone is signing to them (been to a dinner or two with deaf/blind individuals too)!!

  • The interior decor must be cheap in this place

  • My mom and Dad just did this! The said it was really scary

  • i would love to do this!!! it could get a little messy...how much fun! i bet you could really taste every ingredient. the more i watch this video the more i want to do it! oh hell, i'm eating in the dark tonight! hahaha

  • Hmmmm.
