Thanks for posting this! I feel sooo much better to know that this 'hiatus' comes from a positive place -- it means there's hope for more beautiful music in the future! I also think it's wonderful that they're taking time out to focus on their lives outside of the band. Hopefully the break is rejuvenative, and the distance in time is as the crow flies -- that is, as short as possible! :)
Thank you Chris for the most amazing night. Standing on the side of that stage and watching you all play in Boston was a dream come true, really. I enver expected it to feel so normal. No Hollywood, no Band Aids----just me and my sis dancing a smiling and happy, holding hands tight when you walked to our side of the stage. And when you gave me that harmonica----that was it. I was in Heaven.
always been a fan of these guys but crowology made me dig deeper and they changed my world.....i really really wish i got into these guys and went to see them in the 90's.......does anybody know when there comeing to the northeast and any band recomendations that are as god as the crowes.....oh ya shannon hoon is god.....

Wow, you have truly shown your maturity level. Infantine, childish and underdeveloped at best. Someday when your brain is fully developed you will see how sad you appear to everyone here. All I can say is, I am so sorry for your family.
some of you people are a little too full of yourself .I'm sure they find time for a little R&R. 3 hrs. @ the Ryman didn't disappoint anyone that I know of.
@dvddjscottymack - I was at both Minny shows - 105 minutes in Walker, and yes, a disappointingly short set in Minneapolis at 90 minutes. Not sure what you are talking about referring to them not wanting to be there. Walker - that place (the venue, not the town) is a joke. I am not sure what they were doing there in the first place, but they performed just fine.
The Zoo show was fantastic IMO. Chris was so into it, more talkative than most shows I have seen - and a short set - it kicked.
just saw them in minneapolis..they acted like they wished they were at home on the couch smokin a joint...no stage presence at all...$160 for tickets!! i felt ripped off as a 20 year fan!!! 1 set...about an hour and 10 minutes... get it together crows ..and at least go out on top!!
@dvddjscottymack - another thing, the Crowes played 2 shows in the Minneapolis area last month. Both shows were re at least 90 minutes. So I don't know where you get 70 Minutes. Finally if you have seen the Crowes almost 30 times like myself you would understand that the shows are now mainly a display of musical prowess and not about stage presence, it is a musical experience and that's that. I have watched footage of both shows and there is nothing abnormal about either one.
@dvddjscottymack - First off, you can;t even spell their name right. Second, lmfao, Marc Ford is absolutely amazing and one of my Favorite Guitarists ever. Luther Dickinson is the best thing that happened to The Black Crowes since Marc Ford, yes Audley was great too, but....IMO Luther Dickinson is every much as, if not more talented than Marc Ford. That guy is on a wiked groove right now and proud that they have him in the band. You are a Ford fan as well, how many times have you seen him solo?
@dvddjscottymack sad thing is they probably can't remember the last time they got to mellow down easy, kick back on the sofa with a hog-leg and just "be". so BACK OFF my boys!! You EXPECT "as a fan" while on tour traveling grueling miles - long distances - city to city -that tbc should to be 100% at every show- every venue -night after night to make sure you got the most bang for your buck??
Crowd interaction has a tremendous amount to do with bands vibes......were you a $160.00 fan...???
@okcrowegirl - I agree 100%, the Crowes have been on the road constantly for 20 years, with exception of their 1st small Hiatus
This clown dvddjscottymack is obviously not a fan, just an arm chair critic who has nothing better to do than smack talk "the most rock n' roll, rock n' roll band" on the planet. Heck, like I said he can't even spell their name properly. He refers to them as the Crows. LOLZ
Out of my almost 30 Crowes shows I have never come out disappointed. I am always on a high
@CaptainHighTop Your always on ahigh a;right..prob from watching too many BLIND MELLON HEAD videos..are you F&^%in kidding me...check his channel!! get a life dude..stop living in mom and dads basement and get a real job
@dvddjscottymack - lmfao, you obviously can't read. let alone spell. look at my post from 2 days ago where I correct your "mellon" spelling of Blind Melon. I need not say anything in defense of Blind Melon. Although I will say that Shannon Hoon had one of.. if not the best voice in Rock n' Roll in the 1990's. That is why GNR asked him do backups several tracks on the Use Your Illusion discs. Grow up you pathetic sloth.
Shannon Hoon Biography." We'll Always Remember. Ed. Joh Lang cites heroin and coke as his drugs of choice. EVERYONE knows he was on the H ..hangin with the Gunners. LMFAO....fatboy
His spreadsheet reads as follows: Blind Melon Lead Singer (1989-95) unknown detox facility 1995 Indecent Exposure Vancouver (Nov-1993) Public Urination onstage in Vancouver (Nov-1993) Assault on a police officer
continued:Assault on a security guard at the American Music Awards, Los Angeles (1994) Battery on a security guard at the American Music Awards, Los Angeles (1994) Drunk and Disorderly New Orleans Autopsy: Heroin, Cocaine
@dvddjscottymack -Finally, I would have figured that an illiterate, unread, hapless, person like yourself would not infer that drug addiction is an enfeeble disease. You banter on like a prepubescent oaf. Good luck in the prospective as it is quite palpable that you have a tangible need of psychological facilitation. PS, you will probably need that Websters again...
ya wanna buy a copy of the rolling stones cover signed buy all the ORIGINAL band...or how about a sighned set list from the hurricane relief show..lions disk insert?? with AUDLEY of course...all in person ..( you would have done so too,,,but you were too high....... "not a fan"!!
@dvddjscottymack - listen, I have probably been backstage at more Black Crowes shows than you have, or ever will see. Once again LMFAO @ U, you can't even spell Crowes let alone Melon.
You son are a sorry sorry excuse for a Crowes fan, let alone a music fan
@dvddjscottymack - out of all the addlepate persons that I have come across online (and that is saying quite alot) you have to be the most delusional, piteous, nescient, inerudite, and puerile person I have ever seen. I actually do feel real sorry for you. All the best in your mental health progress.
PS, make sure that you have a copy of Webster's on hand after reading this message.
did the black crowes get their $'s worth ?? I'm just "sayin"??!! think about it and I have seen tbc 21x's I can honestly tell you this....not one of those 21 times did i feel like I did't get my $'s worth ....tbc music to ME is ....priceless.
@Megadeaf75 totally agree...but i guess ya cant be fan and still think thay this is a sad way to go out ...and to think I sat next to these assholes at so mantyshowes!!
Hiatus is a four letter word.
