  • Although I take nothing away from Robert Palmer's Version, I kind of get angry knowing that the "Original" Artists Cherelle didn't get a fraction of recognition or the Money that she should have gotten due to Music Politics.

  • @laminage That's jacked up ..and her version, the original version, will ALWAYS be the best! He also made The System's cut, "You Are In My System"

  • @Lashid4u Yeah, you;'re right!! Thanks for reminding me. I'll say one thing, if he didn't have success with The Power Station back in the day, I don't think he would have been able to have success with other Hit Records most notably Addicted To Love. Hey did you know he was supposed to do that song as a Duet with Chaka Khan but it never came into fruition although Chaka sang Backup for Steve Winwood's "Higher Love".

  • "Runnin' through the trenches it's the Patti Dooke"

  • Ha Ha the ladies are there again!

  • where can I get this remix? I dont think it is on a CD?

  • soooooo freakin coooll.....

  • There's one of this ladies that appeared in the 3 most popular videos of Mr. Palmer.

  • @waal74 which one?

  • @BrissoParrothead The one between the keyboard and Mr Palmer in the addicted to love video, I'm almost sure.

  • Okay, I will admit I drink too much, my heads messed up from medication for PTSD and a head wound, so maybe my memories are screwed up and mixed up, but...are these the same girls who kept shooting the crap out of me in Grand Theft Auto Vice City?

  • the one on the keyboard, poor thing they pulled her hair sooo tight it bent her ears hahaha ohhhhhh lord i shouldn't have said that,i'm sorry.Love this song

  • The one blonde is always out of sync The oen in front when they are wearing white

  • YEAH!!!!!!

  • I think I need ta put a band like that together!!!

  • The pitch is too fast...ruins the vocals badly.

  • can't believe i can still find this vid here in youtube today... LOL... really takes me back all the way back to the 80's. boy....i missed those days... :D

  • I love all them fine and sexy females in the video .

  • nice women ... fan of his but .......fawk cocaine kills man geeeessssssusssss

  • absolute classic..R I P . jesus will be rocking

  • the reason for youtube is music- not for electing obama, every time obama ads kept popping up . i'm anti obama, i come to youtube for music only. in 2012 i'm voting obama out of office.

  • This man was about 20 years ahead of his time

  • @skypilottls your pathetic

  • @skypilottls Please explain, I don't see the connection between the two? Enlighten me.

  • @wynsplc The ads at the right side of your screen.

  • What I love the most about Robert Palmer (like there could be something better than his ability to put out great covers / interpretations of other peoples' music as well as his own stuff) was the fact that this was quite possibly the BEST-DRESSED MAN IN MUSIC!!!!

  • The King Of Class!! Robert was and IS a BADDDD MF'ER!!!! Thanks for the music!!!

  • too bad he didnt play this with a whole girl band live

  • classic 80s video and watch out to those you turn on;)

  • Being that Mr. Palmer shared a birthday with Dolly Parton, he should have covered her 1978 tune"Here You Come Again". That stated, Had he done that in his career, just imagine what the video would have looked like. I believe IT WOULD HAVE ROCKED!

  • @kja427 with a whole blonde girl band with big knokers behind him!!!

  • What would it take to get an expression out of any one of them?

  • Damn you, but u just did!

  • Hard to believe he's gone Always liked his music Peppy , upbeat !!

  • Were they REEEEALLY playing those instruments?

  • Nothing but true Love for this guy!! Hugh Hefner eat your heart out!! Hugh can't touch this man! The Roles Royce of Rock-a-rolla baby! I don't believe theirs many artists out there with the kind of class Robert Palmer produces. RIP Rob!!

  • Robert Palmer was a funky guy!

  • great remix .... not too fancy ..... and great vid too !

  • 0:34 i pod lol

  • Mariah's Cover of this was awesome! :)

  • @andrewleehorton ..as his song is a cover - Cherelle's the originator

  • How could you not love the 80's!! lol

  • i like palmer and cherelle versions of the song both are original mariah carey's version was too much like cherelle to me.

  • Pretty unique video like all of them were. nver understood why he did it that way but he was fun. I miss him. I remember when he was in the group Power Station with one band member from Duran2. Plus this is a remake.

  • I'm a CIA agent and some of the girls in this video are known Russian Spies. Please contact the CIA if you know their whereabouts. We would show you "Where are they now" footage, but you wouldn't recognize them because they got so ugly and fat. Can you say oxymoron? Can you say, I saw them at the Roxy, You Moron!

  • The late great Robert Palmer. Fantastic.

  • 1:54 2:45 3:20 ... Very, very cool ...

  • I remembered when things didn't go so good for a "nerd" as me on a date, I flip this and other songs from Mr. Palmer on the request demand, and I become a confident man... thus, remarkably, saving part of the evening without a total loss... thanks Robert Palmer, for your music that gives me an audio shot of testosterone.

  • @odiemodie1 God bless ya! I feel there has always been far more guys and girls who were not so super confident when it came to the social/dating scene then we all think!!

  • What I lik most about thi song....A guy that turns down a one night stand. Shows we are not all pigs. Thank you Robert Palmer.

  • A big thank you to all the talent involved in this classic: Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for writing it, Bruce Forrest for a killer remix and to Bernard Edwards (Chic)for producing it.

  • 亡くなられて何年たちましたか

    今見てもダンディです

  • I understand that he is one that gave Tina Turner her new start when she left Ike.

She gives him a lot of credit to her success.

  • My absolute favorite song by him!

  • I love it when that bassline creeps in...oh yeah

  • I have to admire Palmer this guy had class, a voice that probably the under wear off of a woman!

If there were ever a picture in the english dictionary for Sex Appealing Male singer, his picture would be there!

    R.I.P.!

  • Robert Palmer has some great moves. I love the awkward clap at 0:24. Top notch dance choreography just like you'd expect from all Robert Palmer vids.

  • I would like to know where the models are today and ...oh well...if being in these now "classic" music vids acted as a springboard for their personal careers...not unlike what posing in Playboy does for "Some Girls" attending a college or university does to this day!

  • Robert Palmer is sooooo HOT!

  • i think palmers a lion look at that glorious hair and his growls

  • so, he was like 35 or 36 yrs old when he did all this. WOW. amazing artist. RIP

  • Mr KCOOL ...no man outcooled this guy ....not even Mrs Ferry ...

  • the original ROAR!

    yummy!

  • Killer asthetic with the classy chicks, the suit very minimalist.I didn't realize he did this in more than 1 vid.Brilliant!Great song too.

  • wouldnt mind turning the bird on with the white skirt on, her on the far right. she deffo knows how to shake that trumper of hers.

  • the keyboard player is smokin!

  • man, I miss this guy.

  • i almost forgot about this song until a few nights ago when i was drunk and sleepless and this song just popped in my head...this guy really had something.

  • bootylicious!

  • I like this version ... and the original .. in fact I just like Robert Palmer, really sad he's not still here .. but he's left us some brilliant stuff!

    RIP Robert

  • My God I wanna spray champagne all over that brunette in the white dress.

  • it dosen't get any better

  • BMB,

    you're missing 1 or 2 things...

    AAMB

  • This reeks of gaudy coke parties in the Hamptons.

  • @zeus7623 ..yeah its like a brett easton ellis trip..

  • i remember this video like if it was yesterday.those were good times.i miss the 80's..robert palmer got it in on this record.i like cherelle's version as well

  • The original is better than this remix.

  • I love this guy. Class all the way , great memories RIP

  • very nice to listen to at 5 in the morning, when you're sleepless and going no where in life. Not that I am.

  • @rosesinvase Not that you're sleepless...or going nowhere in life? As I write this, it's 4:59 am. Ha!

  • @rosesinvase Think positive!

  • @rosesinvase

haha funny! i resemble that comment sometimes!

  • He always had the finest women :o)

  • i dont care you fucking brithis gay

  • This song sounds a lot better with one vocal line instead of two. This one sounds almost cartoonish, or even like Chris Brown decided to join in. Oh well.. dance mixes are usually inferior versions of the originals, I guess (and here by "original" I mean the original Robert Palmer remake of this song).

  • @theawakener7 They're probably Cure fans who got pissed at him because they couldn't hear the Cure hog a show. What happened was the Cure was going into overtime and the other people attending the music festival pointed that out. They just kept repeating the stupid song over and over until someone got sick of it and unplugged the speakers to tell them to stop being so greedy and rude. Even worse, some of those Cure scumbags blogged they were happy when they heard Palmer died of a heart attack.

  • good tune from 80s ...

  • After just now listening to the Mariah Carey version for the first time I hate to say it, but I like Cherrelle and Mariah Carey's versions better than this version. Don't get me wrong I like this version too, but compared to the other two this one seems to be less soulful and original. It seems as though his performance has no enthusiasm with the song. The other two versions seem more lively and would make you want to get up and dance to them. I like the music on RP's version, but that's it.

  • @theawakener7 First off I was only giving you the benefit of the doubt in believing that you honestly didn't know this song was a cover being how your comment sounded as if you had no idea. I was only trying to enlighten you on knowing if you didn't already know. The only person with a pompous attitude is you my friend. So go back to sipping on your tea and eating your crumpets you British piece of shit!!! With that said...fuck the royal family and fuck you even more...I'M OUT!!!

  • @theawakener7 bloody well said my friend

  • @theawakener7 Ummmm I hate to break the news to you, but I'm not sure if you're aware that this was only a cover of the original song that was done by Cherelle. This version was cool..don't get me wrong, but the original was much better than this.

  • dammit!! I wasn't I born in 1986! 1987 one bloody year away :(

  • That's just hot stuff.

  • 1980's>2000 to 2011.....

  • I looooove this classic...hot damn

  • @gstephensmith you forgot about writing ass kicking music.

  • Anybody seeing a Jerry Springer resemblance? :g

  • Beautiful dolls!

  • At first I was like.."Oh No, a stupid techno remix!!" but this is pretty cool

  • God knows that I have told countless women those exact words: "I didn't mean to turn you on"

Great remake from Palmer, and an excellent remix by you

  • R.I.P. Robert Palmer

  • @Hot80s did you just say your mom's ugly?!

  • 0:44 the ugliest of the all (on keyboards)

  • Jammin! That Bass turns me on! I love Robert Palmer, look at how gorgeous he is!!!

  • Jammin!

  • imagine a 15 yr old turned on by this only to find out one of them is his mom!

  • @Hot80s You're one lucky guy.

  • What a cracking singer. Can't believe he is no longer with us. The man of the eighties with a touch of class. Thank you Robert!

  • HARUMMPH!

  • This remix is a terrible disgrace.

  • Gorgeous ladies: sorry, but this man can actually say "no" to your tempting pussy!

  • ロバート・パーマー、その早すぎた死を悼む~いつもスーツがイカスお洒落映像"ターン・ユー・オン"~幅広い楽曲をこなしてきたネ!

  • Great song....it's not played enough on the radio!! Boo hoo!!!

  • classic !!

  • Robert Palmer = class. Miss you man... you were my 80's.

  • And then there were the feminist nuts who seriously argued that RP's videos dehumanized women by dressing them identically and having them move in synch. It's an interesting mental exercise, but get real. There is a difference between a music video and life.

  • @KB4QAA spot on

  • The 28 dislikes must be from the Taliban.

  • catchy version ...thanx

  • 28 won,t get OFF.

  • Between frames 0:52 and 0:55 BEST parts. I can see now why this video is the "EXTENDED" version (if you know watta mean gurl? ha ! Thank you Robert for the videos and teen memories.

  • @U2diehard oh yeah, them chicks in white are definitely boneworthy

  • Robert Palmer was just too cool, saw him in concert a few times, always a smoking show. RIP Mr. Cool

I miss the 80's, Porsche's, Cigarette boats, double breasted suits, Rolex watches, girls with big hair and great music.

  • So Sexy

  • "I'm a British Military Brat. When I grow up, I'm going to be a soul singer and become mega-successful relatively cheaply. I will go to Paris and get every model I can find to be in my video. I'll dress them in tight matching clothes and they won't even have to dance well, as long as they bend forward for the camera. That accomplished, all that remains is to buy one really expensive suit and it's done." -Robert Palmer, certified marketing genius.

  • @gstephensmith I appreciate your observations, but don't overlook his great voice and delivery. The man had a great talent.

  • @gstephensmith Thanks for the post... He was a super great guy... Really personable!

  • @gstephensmith Fuck up! He was a fucking incredible singer and song writer. Call the man a brat? Hush yo mouth! Bitch!

  • @gstephensmith everybody does the same, but not all becomes a legend

  • @gstephensmith These grapes taste a little sour! You forgot to mention the good looks.

  • @gstephensmith Im' with ya there....holler if you need a super groovy bassist !

  • @gstephensmith Did I mention I'm going to write pimp songs about how much women want me, but I'm not just gonna give it to them?

  • @gstephensmith Ouch! Where did all that come from? The guy was bang into all kinds of music, playing with different bands/producers since 1969. He changed with the styles and drew inspiration from all kinds of genres; appreciating them all with his unique, slightly reticent performance style. This somewhat tongue-in-cheek video is not what he's all about. You can't be jealous, that would just be stupid. And you came onto this page when you didn't have to...odd!

  • @gstephensmith Well he did have a career before all that but he probably realized he could be bigger if he cashed in on the MTV thing. No one was going to go crazy for him over his own look or voice or songs so he had to tie in a catch. Thus, he refashioned himself as Bryan Ferry's evil twin, lol.

  • @journeythruthepast LOL Exactly! Palmer was thoroughly brilliant.

  • @gstephensmith you can do all that, but if you got no talent forget it.... so is not as simple as you put it , you commie bastard...

  • @KeMoniito LOL, MAN SO MANY ARE TAKING THIS WRONG...he is a great talent no doubt, but he was also extremely gimmicky. However, NO WAY would his music ever have sold as much as it did without these videos, with their T&A and all.

BTW Commies are the best capitalists out there today. We lost the cold war but will still win the trade war...for China. So we know how to sell and so did Robert Palmer RIP.

  • This guy, his suit and tie, what more can you say?

  • Epic song and video.

  • Epic video .

  • It's a shame no one has Palmer's vids in HD and the ebst we can get is grainy video

  • @3Storms If you can find a Rob Palmer's DVD Collection on blu-ray and post it here, then it would be great.

  • @Supersweetguy It was most likely recorded on video and not on film, as was quite common in the 80's. IF that's the case, then transferring it to HD is impossible

  • @3Storms We need to flood his publisher with e-mail asking them to redo all his videos in HD and put them out on Blu Ray. Anyone know who has the rights to his music?

  • @starlionblue Please write the request to Universal music.

  • omg!!!!! didn t know eh was gone I will always love his carisma sooo sexy and hot!!!! how sad :(

  • This video is music history. The girls are incredibly classy and sexy. Robert P. is cool and dressed to impress. No doubt one of the best ever made

  • I love the detached, coldness of Palmer's version. For some reason it really works for me.

  • original is better

  • Gotta Love the way in which these Girls Shake It ... It's not like some Crack Whore Booty Shake ... It's Classy ... Butt ... SmeXXXy ... Just Right ... Hit's the Spot!!!

  • Synchronized Dolly Cakes!!!

  • tremencous

  • This remake could've gone so wrong sounds so VERY good!

    Robert Palmer was BRILLIANT!

  • I'm still living in the 80's and I don't care!!! Love this guy!!

  • just got finished listening to Cherelle's version, this one is missing something. That is just my opinion of course.

  • @thecj29

u crazy. RP's version is much better. JMO.

  • @tubular618 This version has no soul to it, it is on a senditive.

  • @tubular618 P.S. Robert Palmer's version is just plain boring.

  • @thecj29 I agree with you on that...the original is always more than likely gonna be the better version. A lot of people don't realize that Cherelle's version is the original and this version is just a cover. That in which explains why you like the Cherelle version more. #JUSTMYOBSERVATION

  • ...this man not only had an amazing voice..REAL talent..not like todays utter SHITE...but man,,,,was cool as too!

  • antes de que ce pongan calientes con la modelos, dejenme darles un dato....!Son hombres!!!!!!!

  • i wonder how these women could keep a streight face. i would of been the joker trying to make them smile during the video shoot lol Love this song

  • THIS VIDEO HAS EVERYTHING!!! he wears a nice suit, beutiful ladies, good music..... well almost everything, you just need to add some buzz and thtat's it!!! hell of a party!!!!

  • GREAT MIX.I LOVE THAT MIX

  • I like Robert's version and Cherrelle's original for different reasons. I grew up with that Riptide album tho! Bernard Edwards production cannot be denied!! This is the first time I've heard this remix. It's cool to hear all the elements stripped down!

  • I like this cover better than the original!

  • for those who like black music bleached white
