Grassy Lake, Arkansas

I know Grassy well, for nine years in a row I explored it. An ancient cypress swamp, it's full of egrets,loons,frogs,alligators everywhere, spiders that carry away small frogs, gar,carp, a few rabbits, water turkey, some bald eagles, and a whole lot more! While I do not hunt unless it's absolutely necessary for survival, I truly enjoy exploring the wilds. What worries me is that they are building that Turk Coal power plant next door to Grassy!

This past season was the best in years. Of course, by the end of the season, hunting was real slow. The lake was full of gadwall, ringnecks, wood ducks, but very few green heads.
