  • not really an example of the pedal.

  • Trade the boss for the ehx yo

  • what amp dude? :)

  • nice collection

  • nice video man i love that pink floyd poster... my gf would kill u for it xD

  • Goku rocks !

  • Pats137 get real dude leave the man alone so what he likes epiphones so do i and im not a loser

  • 2:26 nice tick

  • You have 4 Epiphone LP's. You should sell 2 of them and buy a Gibson dude.

  • looks like their blues riffs but no offense I think she felt a little repetitive and if you do not agree ask to see this video and who is registered to vote here if you think positive I'm right

  • that's a whole bunch of pedals for sure LOL

  • Is all that gear really that much necessary? Mesa alone didn't cut the mustard for ya? Nice playing!

  • That's the way to make a blues driver rock...

  • Wonderful, wonderful tone. Do you honestly recommend this pedal? I play classic rock and blues mostly, and was thinking about getting some good overdrive pedal for better tone, but now I'm thinking about getting this one.

  • 0:10 I blew my musical load. So...many...pedals....*drool*...

  • how did you get all of that gear? :O

  • damn nice setup ;)

  • crap thats a lot of gear:P where do you get the money from?;p

question.. im a beginner.. i want to buy a line 6 pod for usb to my laptop for recording, and a wah pedal, but i dont have much money to spend, any tips?

  • Buy a second hand POD. Or one of the POD live range with a wah built in.

  • damn.. how much money did you spend on your gear

  • goof ball

  • goof ball

  • I like Epiphones. If choosen carefully they are surprisingly decent. Few modifications and upgrades to the electronics and pckups and you have a decent enough guitar. I hate the snobbish mentatlity of people like yourself. And for your information if you watch some of my other videos I have a PRS Singlecut which is my main guitar

  • @craigmcarthur1 forget theses guys..the tone is in the fingers..enjoy what you're doing ;-)

  • @craigmcarthur1 forget theses guys..the tone is in the fingers, enjoy what you're doing

  • @craigmcarthur1 Don't sweat it, man. No one who knows how to play off a guitar's unique characteristics would say something that stupid. Even an Epi with flaws can be awesome, if the guitarist doesn't suck.

  • @craigmcarthur1 yeah dude epiphones are pretty good i have one with some seymour pickups and it is rocking also damn nice mesa amp unlike some other guitarists who spent all there money on amazing(?) gibsons and who are then too poor to buy a decent amp or pedals you got decent guitars and by buying epi you saved enough to get all that amazing gear- you my friend are smarter than most

  • @craigmcarthur1 People dont really get how good guitars can really be, I currently use a fender telecaster and a fender jaguar and I think Squiers can sometimes be as good as the real thing It all just depends on who put it together, and epiphone is actually a very good brand for the prices

  • @Pats137 if you know what makes good tone in a guitar then you really dont need to spend that much. besides epiphones arent for losers..please re-educate your knowledge about guitars

  • @Pats137 learn to spell loser before calling someone a loser... lol

  • @Pats137

First of all, learn to spell. Secondly, even if you have all the gibsons in the world, that doesn't make you skilled. Finally, Epiphones are decent guitars man. So go play on your gibsons and try to work out mary had a little lamb while you're at it.

  • @Pats137 Wow you're an idiot.

  • nice les pauls. i like the one with the blue finish. nice playing too.

  • Youre a very creative player!

Its very rare today to hear someone like this....all F shreders and techical robots with no feeling!

  • Hello there, badass rig. 0_0

  • I'm guessing you sold that firebird? I'd like to see you use it if you haven't!

  • Nop I still havie it. I have it tuned and setup for slide guitar, so doesnt get used as much

  • i bought this pedal coz it sounded like d best distortion eva through a line 6 amp then wen i bought it n played it on my vox valvatron i was disapointed

  • wat upgrades did u make?i also hav an epiphone...do u have any suggestions on how i can play open chords(rhytm) with overdrive without it sounding muffled...i tried it with my BD-2 through a marshall but it sounds horrible

  • Upgrade the pickups, wiring, potentiometers, jack, jack plate, tuners and machine heads.

Most common cause of muddy tone is too much pre amp gain on ur amp, volume too high on your guitar, old strings, high mid levels, gain too high on the bd-2, poor eq on bd-2.

Try using the power amp gain from ur amplifier as opposed to the pre amp gain, so reduce the gain on ur amp. Pre amp gain tends to lose clarity and sound mushy, so use the master volume one ur amp more and less gain.

  • Back off the volume on your guitar. The guitar volume knob is generally under used and can give you access to a wide range of versatile tones. Old strings can affect your tone and make your guitar sound dead and mushy. So new strings.

Turn down the gain on the bd-2 and use the level more. too much gain on the bd-2 will make ur guitar mushy. Experiment with the tone knob on the bd-2 start around 12 o'clock. I hope that ramble helps

  • u really have a lot of gear !! where u live for i can jack ur ass !!!

  • wish you were here poster in the back AWESOME

  • @10megaRON Pink Floyd its awesome

  • @10megaRON Isn't that all six albums not just Wish you were here?

  • @10megaRON

    It's "Back Catalogue" :)

  • sell a few of those epiphones and get a damn gibson

  • I have a PRS Singlecut. Which I bought over a Gibson. I stand by liking Epiphones. The build quality is hit and miss but if u get a decent one they are good. Make a few modifications and uograde the electronics and they sound great.

  • Also, buying an expensive guitar is not as fun as finding a good bargain and spending some time and money upgrading it, researching about parts specs and so on =)

I used to have a Gibson Les Paul which I was never too satisfied with. I sold it, bought an Epi V + new tuners + new bridge + new electronics + a PODxt and paid some debts. The Epi sounds better than the Gib used to.

That said, I sold the Gib for 50% more than I bought it for and it was a fair price. It just won't happen to the Epi.

  • i see he likes the les paul :o

  • dude do you seriously need all them floor pedals. I mean WTF!!!!

  • Is there a wah to get a much, how do I say-"heavier" wah than what you used?

  • nice firebird

  • Is the BD2 Analog

  • whats the midget guitar lookin thing in the corner next to ur flextone II xl?

  • Its a lap steel. I have 2 videos of me using it posted.

  • if you ever think of giving away some pedals or any thing else conact me!

  • how much did all your geer cost?

  • Wow. Lots of Les Pauls and pedals.

  • Yeah, imagine if he sold it all, he could get a couple of really nice Gibson Les Pauls, a couple of nice tube amps. Marshall and Mesa Boogie? Whatever took his fancy, a decent mic, and an HD camera, but greed has got the better of him and he's chosen quantity over quality.

  • He seems to have some nice amps already and I think he prefers Epiphone (as I do) to Gibson. So it seems like he already has what he wants and then some.

  • dude how many pedals and epi les pauls have you got?!

  • You do have an insane collection of pedals...

  • Did you paint the les paul red?

  • Nop, stock colour

  • Very nice!

  • how many pedals did u have???!!!!!!!

  • Lots

  • shit that's alota pedals lol, i remember this pedal, this was my first OD...i kinda miss it now,,, anyway thanks for the nostalgia lol

  • why dont you demo with your prs singlecut man. haha i wana see it

  • I use it in my more recent video posts, check some of those out and you will see it in action.

  • dude, imagine like, a fender guitar through there. but i love the tone you already have + nice setup. its awesome. MESA.

  • dude im jelous of your set up

  • Thats a great tone man! (Though I wonder what a GIbson would sound like through those pedels...)

I noticed a Line 6 Flextone II in the background (?). Would you have any idea what an Ibanez Tube Screamer would sound like through a solid-state amp like that?

Its just that, I was thinking of getting one and you seem to be a pro with all those gadgets!

  • Never tried a Gibson thru my rig, but I do mainly play a PRS Singlecut 245, which sound fantastic thru the Hiwatt and Mesa.

Never that much of a fan of overdrive type pedals thru my Line 6 it tends to sound abit fizzy im afraid, I prefer the onbaord overdrive. May not be the same for all solid state amps tho, so defo worth a try.

  • where did you buy this epiphone??

i've searched a red epi for ages!!!

    please answer!

  • Local guitar store in Glasgow

  • Haha, ol red is lovely.

  • Dude watsdoes the gigrig do?

  • Its an analog switching unit. I plug my two amps and all my pedals into it and I can turn on and off pedals, switch amps and amp channels etc all with one button. Check out their website for details, good demo vids etc on the website

  • Great job man keeping the blues alive and well.Best music in the world.

  • hey do you have tabliture for the first riff thing you were playing? its pretty Extreme

  • I'm afraid I dont, was just playing the first bluesy sounding stuff off the top of my head. Its all played around the 12th and 14th frets of the G string tho, should be easy enough to work out. Cheers

  • ok thanks man

  • quite the set up you have

  • hey man, youve got some awesome vids. my friends all think Im weird since I love epi les pauls so much but I knew I wasnt the only one haha. hows your sc245 treating you and is it in mccarty burst? Im thinking of getting one soon

  • I do like Epi LP's they r decent, I tend to replace aspects of the electonics and pickups etc.

The PRS is awesome, beautiful guitar to play and look at. Its in vintage amber, solid mahogany body with a curly maple vintage amber top. Defo worth the investment if your looking at a new guitar

  • yeah the stock pickups are extremely dull. I typically use seymour duncan pickups, like JBs and Jazzs.

  • Yup I agree, I also use Seymour Duncans on the majority of my Epi's

  • ur a pink floyd freak. respect. and ur playing style reeks holyness. its the best

  • I am indeed a Pink Floyd freak, Gilmour has some nice chops and tone!

  • david gilmour invented chops and has golden tone that no others match. HE is the best.

on a serious note, whats the morley wah like? it sounds good on here, but what do oyu think, do u have other wahs that r better? thanks. Also, thinkin of gettin the BD-2 and its sounds very good from this demo

  • The Morely Wah is decent. The auto on/off function is very handy, although u can now achiece this on any way with the new G-Lab wah Pad (very good product). I very much like the Morley when I play thru my Mesa Boogie for big hevy overdrive tones, I dont however like the Morley when playing thru my Hiwatt with light overdrive or clean, lacks bite. It has a built in boost which can be used when soloing to provide more volume and gain. I like th Fulltone Clyde Deluxe wah tho if I had to pick one

  • as for the BD-2, fork out the extra cash and buy the Keeley modified version with the Phat Mod sounds MUCH better than the stock. Also look at the Fulltone OCD, great overdrve pedal

  • i thot i was a pedal freak...

    XDD

    nice man

  • wohoo....a lot of equipment

  • you have a bunch of guitar crap... where do u work?

  • I am an Optometrist

  • crazyyy mannn,, ow fock

  • You have a LOT of pedals!

  • man you have a lot of cool effects, i'm a stomp box collector myself...

    nice playing dude.

  • boy do you like les pauls haha cool playin dude

  • Did you make this riff up?

  • Yup i did indeed. Its fairly generic blues stuff. Some guy asked me to demo the BD-2 playing blues which aint really my forte as I dont play much blues these days. Just played the first licks that came to my head

  • It is generic yeah, but it sounds really good xD

  • damn...you got the goods...

  • How do you go about lerning random blues riffs like this ???

I can afford to get a guitar teacher so can you please impart your wisdom !!!

    Cheers man :P

  • Just listen to some random blues guitarists and work ut by ear the licks they r playing, then build up ur own little library of licks and chops.

  • any artists you reccommend ???

  • On the blues front I dont listen to alot to be fair. Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, Ry Cooder, Derek Trucks etc.

I listen to alot of other music: Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Oceansize, Dream Theater, Sigur Ros, and many more.

Keep ur listening diverse and pick lots of different styles up to get your own sound.

  • learn pentonic scales they are so usefull

look them up or buy a book on guitar and it should have them in there

  • Yeah ive been doing that.

I also listened to old blues artists.

BB King is the best to listen too.

Such simple riffs but he captures the sould of the blues in them.

  • B.B. King has too much credit for such simplicity.. try Buddy Guy, Albert King, and SRV and Hendrix.. start on small licks of theirs, then chop them up, and add your own twist to them.

  • buddy guy is my fav

  • Holy Sh*t Batman this guys got the toys...and the TONE! Nice

  • wait... is the bd-2 u have hear the keeley modded one?

  • Nop its a stock model in this vid dude

  • i did end up buying that pedal and i REALLY like it so i dont care too much about the keeley mod thing u told me about a long time ago.... :D also the Les Paul ur playing is Gibson right? how much was it? Thanks

  • it's an epiphone. look at the headstock.

  • whats an optomitrist? o_O

  • Google it dude......eyes.

  • Oh right .........i know this is ramdome but your hair is AWESOME and goes great whith your beard :)

  • do u got a lot of gear.i can barely afford my stuff right now but im only 15 so.i got a epiphone les paul standard plus top.a line 6 spider 3 50w amp.and i cutomized my guitar py putting EMG-ZW Zakk Wylde 81/85 Humbuckers in it so its amazing, the guitar cost 600.the humbuckers were 100 a piece.

  • have you got a music shop?

  • Nop afraid not man. I am an Optometrist and part time musician

  • are you an eternal optometrist? the tone on that rig was lovely. I was going to tell you off for having too much stuff , but it sounds great. I want one now. Do you think it would work well with a gretsch hollow body played through a fender hot rod?

  • eternal optometrist? not sure what u mean lol. And are we talking about the BD-2 or the Wah dude? If ur thinkin of getin the BD-2 the keeley mod is a MUST, mine has been sent away

  • dude u have a whole lot of rig! damn you guys! hehe :D ...while i'm saving money for a tremonti wah and a whammy for a year!...

  • Rad playing man!btw, how much was the firebird, and that red les paul? thanks. i just a got a les paul special 2

  • Not sure how much they cost dude, they were all bought a while ago. The red les paul in this video isnt even mine haha, the rest r tho. My bandmtae left it at my house so I used it in this vid.

  • You should belong to Pedals Anonymous.... :-) I'm liking the Morley wah more and more...

  • yaknow i really dislike the bd2. Ive owned one for 8 months and it fuzzes up quite a bit at high levels.

  • how much was the mesa boogie? is it a tube? how much power does it have?

  • Its a now discontinued model, so price will vary on condition and the seller.

It as a tube amp yes. I have it running on 6L6's.

    It is 100 watt head

  • got enough pedals? nice playing though

  • Hahah cheers, that aint even all of them, theres more! The new rig is sounding good man!

  • nice playing, nice equipment. I'm getting the same pedal

  • rich basterd

  • I am not rich, I worked hard, working part time whilst studying at university to pay for to buy all this stuff. So dont be a tard and assume I am rich, u cant even spell bastard.

  • Is your spring reverb from a pedal or amp? And if it is a pedal, is it a real spring pedal or a digital?

  • In this video its the spring reverb from my Mesa Boogie dude.

  • phuck (lol) i shoulda got this awesome bluesy pedal instead of the df7 (cuz i kinda also wanted some rockish metal stuff) but it does have some good bluesy tones tho

  • If you do buy one, make sure u invest a bit more and buy the Keeley modified BD-2 Phat mod. Sounds amazing

  • okay thanks, but im just gonna stick with what i have

  • great demonstration how many les pauls do you have

  • A good few man, too many infact. Favourite guitar, and I play in a few different tunings so need more!

  • You play really well, it was brilliant and

    I've got a question:

I'm about to buy a WAH pedal, but I can't decide wether if it is better the "Morley Classic Wah (model CLW)" or the one you have "Morley Power Wah (PWO)".

May you suggest me the better one? Thanks.

  • Thanks dude. I cant to be honest havent played the Classic Wah. I think from memory the only difference is the power ah has that built in gin feature fr boosting lead parts on wah. A feature I dont use anyways! Sorry I cant be more helpful

  • So yeah, how long you been playing guitar?jus heard some of your bands stuff its pretty good..oh and thanks for the morley wah vids i'm thinkin about gettin myself one.

  • Dunno man, I think I started when I was about 15/16 so about 6/7 years.

  • Hey you should buy a BBE sonic maximizer stomp pedal. They really clean up the overall sound of your gear!

  • Cool, thanks for the tip dude, I will look into it!

  • Yeah, also look up videos on here too to hear the difference! :)

  • bravo, sounded great. what amp was driving that tone home, couldn't of been a pedal.

  • Read the video descriptions dude I always list everything there. In this vid its a Mesa Boogie Tremoverb on a its clean channel. I use th Boss BD-2 to add a little gain.

  • shoot me if they make pedal boards big enough for all those pedals.

  • What reverb wins in a boss rv-5 vs line6 verbzilla?

  • RV-5 in my opinion. Its my fav Boss pedal.

  • hey dude, another question...i just brought i cry baby but the power wah sounds really nice...what you do think is better??? i might exchange it

  • I get asked that alot. I like bth and use both in my rig. I like thhe Cry Baby on my Hiwaatt, sounds great on clean and classic rock stuff, its has a very characteristic tone, but is noisey and sucks tone even when off. The Moley has a bigger sweep and an auto on/off function. I like its tone thru my mesa boogie on heavier stuff. Go to your local store and A/B them thru the same amp.

  • how do u fix ur cables and effects after u use em?

  • Not sure what u mean dude?

  • You're like the perfect kind of player for my tastes, You're, imo, the best on You tube!

  • you got one badass setup... if i were you and had invested that much money into pedals... i would have gone for metasonix, and zvex.. or even a hot hand wah.... nice playing...

  • i c u like les pauls. haha

  • You need to start using your les pauls and stop using mine for these videos ;).

They look far too sexy. Black 7'er is the winner though.

    Gaz

  • First time I have used urs Gaz! Someone has to play your Les Pauls like a man. Mans guitar, none of your 9 gauge light picking Gazpots rattle!

  • If you have time can you post a little video, showing us in zoom the gigrig pro 14 and show us if the conections of the pedals are very hard to do??

    Can I conect racks??

    thanks!!!

  • Hey man, I will try to get round to that! I am uber busy at the moment, and I have a LONG ass list of requests written down lol! The Gig Rig is designed more for stomp box and vintage tube amp use. It has basically 10 loop inputs and u have 14 channels of presets with a load of other features. The website is awesome, it will tell you everything you need to know. If your using rack systems it wont be the best. I have avoided the rack setup out of love for stompers.

  • My two bandmates one the other hand are also building new rigs both of whom are using rack stuff to differeing degress, one has gone down the Mesa Boogie Tri Axis and 2:Ninety route with a TC Electronics G Major system. The otehr uses a Mesa Boogie Roadking with a TC G-Force effects, Now i htink the latter is using a RG switching system that is a similar idea to the gigrig but is designed for rack gear. If your interested I can get you in contact with him?

  • no thanks, you said it all man!! Thanks very much and don´t worry about the video, I know you´re a busy man, becase of the band and other tubers questions...once again thanks

  • holy crap! you have so many pedals! How much did u spend?

  • Dunno man, thats not even all of it, building a new live rig. Good few thousand probs

  • Hey man, great tone!!!

I´m seeing that you bought a new les paul!!

I saw a some black pedals with blue in the midle...we can see them at 0.10 when you show the pedals...what pedals are they??

    Thanks man and congrats!!

  • That pedal is a GigRig Pro 14. Its awesome!!! It controls my new rig. It will control my two heads, which head is sent to my cab. Basically I plugall my stomp boxes into it (it also powers everything!) and it drops in and out pedals from the signal chain. Meaning despite having ALOT of pedals in the rig I will never suffer tone suckage as only the pedals I am USING are in the signal path.
