this is really cool with the automatic weapons, sometimes it looks like a whole burst is being dumped into their head from a random position just above them...

the reason that a bullets trajectory cannot be 'curved' is that the human wrist cannot move the departure point of the projectile (you know where the the bullet comes out) quickly enough. the projectile is only in contact with this departure point (the barrels muzzle) for thousands of a second. also the trajectory described by such a move if it were possible would not be a curve in the horozonatl axis but more of a deflection, like a ricochet.

The game was interpreting that the edge was blocking your shot so it did it's best in VATS to represent the shot IE "bend" the tracer otherwise your shot would have been considered a miss even though the VATS dice roll was in your favor I.E. you "hit".

lol, a weird thing about this game is the unrealistic "firing cone" which makes sniping impossible. if u r close enough then ur bullets will home in on the enemy, if u r too far away then ur "firing cone" will kick in and the bullets will not go straight, but will fire AROUND the target. i noticed this when i wasted about 8 clips on a raider in free aim, and i went up to him and point blanked him and i noticed bullet holes in the concrete behind him.

Sniping In V.A.T.S is impossible but is very possible in free aim. I was able to kill several raiders far away (~4% chance for a torso shot in vats).
