It all seems moot now in light of the very recent ruling overturning Prop. 8. Again, people vote what they want, a majority stated their opinion, and one judge rules it null and void. Makes me feel good I went to the polls and voted my beliefs. I may not do it again. As for why Pastor Jim Garlow does not wear a ring, he has lost a lot of weight and maybe his wedding ring does not fit. Also, I know his wife is fighting cancer and, quite possibly, a ring is not high in his priorities.

this jesus freak garlow has no wedding ring on; never seen one on his finger; is he married? oh i am sure he is married; most jesus freaks are; it pulls in more money for their church. Proposition 8 is really about money and the church. People like Garlow are terrified that their business of selling the gosple will lose more and more money; keeping people interested and believing the lies he tells will continute to give him money and keep him rich. To be clear (and this is important) I do not object to this guy having his opinion - backwards though it may be. It is one thing to have freedom of speech and I fully suppor that. It is something quite different to impose your bigoted and discriminatory religious beliefs upon others by means of government. Civil unions are not the same, which is why no heterosexual couple would want a civil union insteads of a marriage.

Garlow was highly involved in Republican politics in Texas,he loves political science, he will use a velvet glove to kill you,he loves to be liked, his wife just recieved mercy but they went a new age route to Mexico, he will compromise because of political expediency...Mormons, Hindus, and Muslims as recent he used them to get Prop 8 passed he actually does not follow Jesus he follows politics. Get your facts straight. Marriage has not been as traditional as you think. Stop the prejudice, it doesn't have anything to do with children. Stop the Hate and discrimination.
