John Howard, the most backward looking PM apart from Menzies the royalist brown noser. One thing Howard had on his side was luck that the world economies such as China & India needed our resources badly without the normal price negotiations the Japs put on us.

Howard was a liar & had no vision, thieved funds to prop the Fiberal elections, goodriddance to the prick.

@AdamAus85 We all remember the unfettered inflation in property values & 4 year interest free Harvey Norman loans for big TV's, well the rest of the world got a bout of the GFC and we missed out because of rapid Labor policies, there are chickens roosting at the moment as unsustainable property price increases rebound on the speculators. Get a bit of reality mate, ya can't make $100k per year on ya house. Actually it's been a while since I saw a poor person, point 'em out mate prove ya point.

@AdamAus85 The whole world was wallowing in an abundance of money, we had never seen 20 continuous years of prosperity, Wall St was awarding itself huge bonuses Greece was relaxing and overspending, Spain & Portugal were revelling in pommy real estate speculators, Australian mortgage brokers became cut & paste specialists so that undeserving applicants could overpay for over valued properties, mate it then becam chicken roosting time and the whole world laid a big bad egg.

Having had the chance to meet the PM, I can honestly say what a warm and genuine person he is. He is very witty and charismatic, yet even if just for his so-called 'ordinariness' that satirists try and lampoon him for, you just can't help but love the guy. Thanks for everything JH. The nation will be the poorer without you, but you deserve every piece of the relaxation and respect you will find in retirement.

Mr John Howard in my opinion was the BEST PM that this country has ever had and the best PM in my life time. I thank and praise our Mighty God for allowing John Howard to be the PM of this great country of ours for 11 1/2 years. We have been greatly blessed.

The public who voted for Labor will look back years to come and realise how blessed we all were. Thank you Mr Howard for all your service. God Bless you and your family.
