  • yo drummer work on your tempo.

  • you shouldve turned up the bass on this one :/

  • excellent rhythm section

  • excellent job keep it rock

  • very nice but maybe turn up the bass next time :)

  • This is amazingly good!

  • nice flay that funk

  • nice one boys!!!!

  • ummmm....that kicked a whole lotta ass!!

  • pretty good overall.... drums are motherfuckin' tizzight!

  • really love the drums there guys, but the guitar is exceptionally poor. sorry

  • Wow that's pretty hard to get clean. Nice job!

  • gotta love phil just beatin the shit outta the drums

  • Nice 5/5 !

  • same but i got bored of it

  • muy bueno =o

    me gusto

  • you guys need a singer and that would be sick

  • On the whole, nice job. Haven't seen many decent covers of this song, this is the best so far.

I'm getting a guitar pretty soonish, do you have any tips for playing your role here? It looks pretty tricky to get the right sound.

    Thanks.

  • its pretty tough. I explain in the info.

  • Okay, I read it at the start. Was just wondering if there's anything else.

I'll give it a shot, you insipired me.

Would it be better starting this sitting down? I hear it's a pain to play standing up... :)

  • probably. just remember to only have your neck pickup on.

  • Will do. It's one of my favourite songs at the moment, I want to get this sounding right. :)

  • first band that i have ever seen play ppl of the sun other than Rage. Awsome job guys!

  • no offence, but i think you're behind the beat at some parts

  • yeah, i did a pretty bad job. This song is a pain to play standing up.

  • awesome, wats u mean the pickup must be in the nex position?

  • kind of hard to explain. Your neck pickup must be fully on and your bridge pickup must be fully off. if you had your brodge pickup on, it will pickup the string resonating on the bridge side and it will be high in pitch. You just need to try it yourself to realize what im talking about.

  • alright i have it set to that for all the other tom tricks but when i do the allen wrench its really high pitched, do i have my pickups backwards?

  • did you modify your electronics? If not, the your pickups should be fine. Tap your bridge pickup with ur pick. if you hear tapping then you need to flip the switch. how many knobs does ur guitr have.

  • 4, its a washburn w14

  • okay, then turn the volume knob for the bridge pickup all the way down and the know for the neck pickup all the way up. then flip the toggle switch so its pointing towards ur neck.

  • sweet thx dude, ya i had the bridge up and neck down ;p, sounds much better

  • Why are so many people bashin this video, its perfect luls. nice job, it would be crazy if you guys found a zack like voice, But good job.

No pedal is used lol, hes perfect on time.

  • why u use a piece of metal then? lol

lol and its not the piece of metal that ruins tempos...tempos are fine? ..ur NOT IN THE RYTHM

  • Because the song is played by rubbing a spare allen wrench across the strings. Its Tom Morello. He can't do anything in a normal way. The rhythm sounds fine for the most part. Have you ever heard the real song?

  • sry dont play guitar, drummer here

dude be real ur not playing good in this song im not saying u suck but the tempos are bad..-.-

    can't u realize that?

  • no, i think your ears are bad. Maybe i screwed up the timing at some parts because this song is a bitch to play, but the "tempos" are just fine. Try playing a song by rubbing a piece of friggin metal across the strings and then comment. This is by far the most unorthodox song I have ever learned.

  • ROFL xD

    who the hell are u...

learn to follow other people music..

by the way learn to work with the pedal ..

awsome bass, awsome drum, worst guitarr ever..

  • pedal? well if you play this song with a pedal then you are doing it wrong. Please feel free to post a cover yourself playing this song. I hate when people talk shit and don't have videos to back it up.

  • try to learn some tempos...rofl

  • okay, i will learn some tempos. which ones do you reccomend? 160? 92?

  • ur guitarr sucks lol

  • thanks man. i appreciate it.

  • yeah the guitars rythm is off a lot. the other guys rock

  • the guitar part doesn't sound correct

  • it is.

  • great job i liked how you put it all together in different videos cuz i thot it was gonna be a band lol then i saw it was just one guy doing it all on diff times. [the collaboration] lol nice work

  • lol, it is not the same guy. 3 different people. check info.

  • very nice job with the guitar! Very hard to play! 5/5

  • 1:53 was sick when the drummer stood up cause of that funny sound. good shit guys

  • the funny sound was put in after. phil does that in a lot of his videos. He also does his trademark chicken dance.

  • good drummer

  • great job! musta been hard to rememeber which part was which and all.100000/5 to all 3 of you.

  • wow the guitarist looks like hes having a whole lot of fun there from 00:00-1:49...

  • yes, it is a quite repetative song, and I have to focus because its quite difficult.

  • i can play that song on drums¡

  • I've seen how tom does this. He just uses his pick and slides it up and down in between the two pickups on the 5th string. Then for the chorus he does pretty much the same thing, but on the sixth string. Remember to try and keep your pick perfectly perpendicular to the string. I also suggest bringing your tone down to around 4 (so you dont get that scratchy sound). Thats it....very simple.

  • definately not. he uses a whammy bar. do some research first. the string would resonate if you used a pick.

  • i mean wouldnt resonate.

  • well, when he played live he used his pick. Mind you he uses metal pick quite frequently. But instead of arguing how its done...I'm pretty sure Tom would say "Do what you think sounds best" which is why I love playing his stuff...There is no right way or wrong way of doing things. But like I said, I've always seen him use his pick and I've gone to three of their concerts back in the day, yes with great seats lol.

  • people of the sun live rock am ring

type those tags in. click the first vid.

  • i just did. I might be blind, but that looks like a pick that hes holding perpendicular to the strings of his guitar as he slides it back and forth. Plus i can hear the scratching noise caused by the pick actually entering and exiting the grooves of the wound fifth and sixth strings. A smooth object, too big to fit into the grooves, like a whammy bar, would not create that sound. But thats just my opinion.

  • All i know is that recording it he used an allen wrench. call me dumb but its true

  • you are right. nobody else wants to believe me. Plus, it doesn't really matter, because what i did sounds almost identicle to the recording.

  • Sorry i didnt clarify. I was talking about morello on the origonal album recording. He uses an allen wrench. Not you. I can tell you are using a whammy bar. Ur right too morello uses a spare whammy for this song

  • In that live vid clip, he is probably using his whammy pedal with the pick. 5thup setting or something like that!

  • no hes not. he is using a spare whammy bar and rubbing it on the strings. it could also be his truss rod's allen wrench.

  • that was so good notice there is no song helping them right on guys

  • that was the whole idea. if you want to hear the version with the song, check out pooklowend's channel. his vid iis under related videos.

  • nice job :)

  • Nice Job Dude! This rocks! 5/5

  • awesome! i think u spelled ur name wrong in the video description... =/

    well played tho.

  • good eyes. its fixed now. thank you.
