  • eş-Şâfiî ve Malik b. Enes'e göre namazı kasten terk eden kimse kafir olmaz, ama öldürülür.

    Mâlik b. Enes de, "Kim Allah'a inanır, peygamberleri tasdik eder ve namaz kılmazsa öldürülür," ifadesiyle, eş-Şâfiî ile aynı görüşe sahip olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.

    Ahmed b. Hanbel, namaz kılmamakta direnen kimseyi öldürmeden önce üç gün hapsetmeyi vâcip görürken, eş-Şâfiî bunun iyi bir şey olduğunu, ama şart olmadığını söylemektedir.
