Im kind of puzzled why he lost it big time after the Oxygene and Equinoxe years.
Is it the static sounds of the digital synthesizers he used afterwards? Or the lack of phrasations?
Strictly there is not much phrasation in this piece either, BUT he puts so much care into each single note: modulation, glissandi and the randomness of the analog synthesizers.
You can hear it over and over again, and discover new details. E.g. how the bassline evolves... nice :-)
introduced to the genius JMJ by my father, I couldn't thank him enough :) Jarre will forever be my favorite musician! I don't care if other people my age think his music is wierd, because they are very close minded x)
@SpockLuv : Same here, I was born in 75 and I have been hearing tapes of oxygene and equinox for years. I ended up buying atleast 6 albums on vinyl later in my life :)
I watched him live in October with my mum & dad for the first time, extra special!!
If you've not had the chance yet to hear this played live, by Jean-michel himself, you really must! His new sound system that he developed for his indoor world tour is so powerfull, you can feel your internal organs moving!
@antonSCORCHIN a mi tambien estos son unos de los primeros sonidos que recuerdo desde que tengo uso de razon 4 o 5 años mas o menos tengo 33 años ahora saludos desde don torcuato buenos aires argentina.
