This game has bad graphics compared to gta 4, and some people get on videos like this and mock the game for it looks. But what they shuld do is mock gta 4 for the fact that this game, on the ds, brings more fun than the powerhouse of gta 4. I am a huge gta fan, started playing the first gta as a kid when it was new, and I got so bored with gta 4, it is to realistic to be "fun". Yeah it looks good, but saints row 2 and this gta game is my personal favorites in terms of fun factor.

let me give you some reasons y th ds version of GTACTW is beter than the psp ver. 1 the touch screen make some things in game more realistic such as hotwiring, and making homemade grenades. plus your PDA actually feels like a PDA.2 the experience is so seamless, no load times ever,and 3 well this goes for both system, trading drugs, highjacking truck and boats, ramming cops, and junping ramps all on the go is sweet.

The important part of that was to remove the common misconception that this game is 2D. It may seem like a trivial point to make, but it makes a world of difference when playing.
Also, GTAIII had an optional top-down view. Check your facts, bud.
He said it was "the first thing you should know" like it was important even though it wasn't because like i said all the gta games (besides the first 3 for the ps1) are 3D (gta 3, doesn't count because it's optional and even in top down view its still 3D and there's been 5 3rd person games out since then, so i don't know why you would even use that as an example)

If people are thinking it's 2D then they just need to watch footage.
Brief footage and screenshots make this game look very similar to GTA2 as I remember it. I assumed it was 2D based on that fact and had no interest in this game.
I saw this review and changed my mind, now I own it and it fuckin' rocks! Based on that, I'd say the emphasis on setting the record straight on the environment rendering was wholly justified.
Some of you people are terribly misinformed, this game is one of the best games on the ds and a great continuation of the GTA series. Just the review on IGN,gamespot, or any game website and theyll tell you that this game actually improves on some elements in the other games, such as cop chasing.
It also seems R* learned a lot about the difference between playing GTA at home and playing on a portable system. Many of the missions are nice and short and you don't have to drop off 100 people in the taxi to get the reward and stuff like that. It also auto-saves at certain intervals during side missions too. That's one of the things that makes this game so great.
Well, what do you expect? It's for the Nintendo DS, which means there has to be limitations. Obviously, the game wouldn't be as great as "Grand Theft Auto IV" or "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas."
does it really matter if it has good graphics? i mean as long as you can see it good, you can play it. and it matters about the gameplay and storyline/plot. there are a lot of great games that have ok graphics and still kickass, like Brawl, its not like the ps3, but it kicks ass.

I think graphics doesn't really matter or plots or storyline for that matter I think the most important thing is having fun. Let's just say that there's this game that has awesome graphics and awesome storyline and you just bought it. After awhile you played it and all you have to say about the game is "it sucks ballz". I think the PSP version is great, but I think Nintendo should have kept a great game like this to their own consoles, instead of selling out to Sony (like they ALWAYS do). The only good DS games get shunted onto the PSP, while the only DS exclusives are shit. This is the only good DS game I've really enjoyed since Advance Wars :Dual Strike.

The important part of that was to remove the common misconception that this game is 2D. It may seem like a trivial point to make, but it makes a world of difference when playing.
Also, GTAIII had an optional top-down view. Check your facts, bud.

He said it was "the first thing you should know" like it was important even though it wasn't because like i said all the gta games (besides the first 3 for the ps1) are 3D (gta 3, doesn't count because it's optional and even in top down view its still 3D and there's been 5 3rd person games out since then, so i don't know why you would even use that as an example)
It would be stupid and pointless too go back to 2D.
If people are thinking it's 2D then they just need to watch footage.

Brief footage and screenshots make this game look very similar to GTA2 as I remember it. I assumed it was 2D based on that fact and had no interest in this game.
I saw this review and changed my mind, now I own it and it fuckin' rocks! Based on that, I'd say the emphasis on setting the record straight on the environment rendering was wholly justified.

Some of you people are terribly misinformed, this game is one of the best games on the ds and a great continuation of the GTA series. Just the review on IGN,gamespot, or any game website and theyll tell you that this game actually improves on some elements in the other games, such as cop chasing.

It also seems R* learned a lot about the difference between playing GTA at home and playing on a portable system. Many of the missions are nice and short and you don't have to drop off 100 people in the taxi to get the reward and stuff like that. It also auto-saves at certain intervals during side missions too. That's one of the things that makes this game so great.

Well, what do you expect? It's for the Nintendo DS, which means there has to be limitations. Obviously, the game wouldn't be as great as "Grand Theft Auto IV" or "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas."

does it really matter if it has good graphics? i mean as long as you can see it good, you can play it. and it matters about the gameplay and storyline/plot. there are a lot of great games that have ok graphics and still kickass, like Brawl, its not like the ps3, but it kicks ass.

That's okay though, the ds is praised for it's creative and original games as well as it's compact size, but the psp is easy to scratch and most of the games are just ports from previous titles from the ps2. Not too many original titles, but the psp does have some insane graphics(and horrible load times). I'm afraid i have to disagree with u.

I think graphics doesn't really matter or plots or storyline for that matter I think the most important thing is having fun. Let's just say that there's this game that has awesome graphics and awesome storyline and you just bought it. After awhile you played it and all you have to say about the game is "it sucks ballz". Are you having fun? The answer is probably no. It really matters if you're having fun or not. RlbitClassica is right it's pointless to make a debate about this.

I think the PSP version is great, but I think Nintendo should have kept a great game like this to their own consoles, instead of selling out to Sony (like they ALWAYS do). The only good DS games get shunted onto the PSP, while the only DS exclusives are shit. This is the only good DS game I've really enjoyed since Advance Wars :Dual Strike.

maybe some people enjoy crappy quality remakes of a once great games (with a different story line) but not me!!
every gta game had the same great gta style graphics (not the best but u know what i mean lol) with the same type of game play each newer game getting better and better,
