This scared the crap out of me, mostly because I felt like I was going to be thrown out of my seat, but also because it felt like the thing was going to fall apart. I don't like waist harnesses. They often scare me. I've been on supposedly scarier rides, but they all had shoulder harnesses and didn't freak me out like this ride almost did. My six-year-old daughter (who's really brave) loved the ride, so we rode twice. I almost crapped my pants the second time too!

This is a fun ride, but it's too jerky. It kills my back. The other rides there are smoother and more enjoyable. Plus it ain't got no loops! Also, I am always afraid one of those wood rails will detach and go right through my head.

I used to be terrified of roller coasters, but then I finally manned up and went on Flight Deck (at Great America), and the drop was the best part, and it was so fun I forgot how high it was. This ride is a good starter coaster because it isn't very steep or tall. It's not as bad as you think ;)

interesting about this coaster being scary for first timers. i have become a coasterphobe in my old age and when i went to Discovery Kingdom i chickened out on all the coasters and this 10 year old kid told me that this coaster was not what i thought it was and he convinced me it was fun. i rode it twice in a row and had a blast! its not scary at all! however, i did ride Ghost Rider at Knott's a few months later and i thought it was going to be the same, its not. Ghost Rider IS SCARY!!!!!
