I was at this concert-it was 2007, she was sick and had a bad, bad cold, but still-she was singing. I saw her again in summer 2008- she was absolutely great...
No. This clip was at the premiere of her documentary: How Sweet the Sound at the Toronto International Film Festival this past fall:2009. We watched the documentary & then she came out and sang 6 songs. But she probably performed it at the ones you saw too. She often does.
@mtldemon6 It was 40 years ago she bought him those cufflinks, that's a long time ago....I don't know why people keep bringing up her Dylan days, that so far in the past....Joan is absolutely amazing, her voice is deeper now and is absolutely gorgeous and her guitar playing is amazing. She has just come back from touring parts of Europe and will soon be touring parts of the US again....she is 69 and she is having the bestest time of her life...good on ya Joan
Bogey251 as Joan would say you are entitled to your opinion, however if you consider her a bore why do you bother watching her - as for my opinion - oh never mind!

Her high-flown, much-celebrated, God-given three-octave soprano voice is shot.
What still seems intact and only too prevalent is her self-ordained sense of moral superiority.Where s the coward that would not dare to fight for such a land?
Good grief do you really expect Joan to still have her three-octave soprano voice at the age of 68 - there is such a thing as gravity. Joan's voice is still wonderful she just sings in a lower range now and she does that beautifully.
Well, Judy Collins still retains her voice at the same age - maybe it's got to do with that she never cut her hair :-). I appreciate Joan's voice of today - to be honest that "rabbit vibrato" that she used so much in her heyday tented do get on my nerves sometimes - but it is rather a drastic transformation of a voice over a lifetime.
Judy Collins had to change her singing after she ruined it with too much tobacco smoke. Can you really compare "Anathea" (which you can hear on Youtube) with anything she did even a decade later? Anne Murray had to change hers (I remember her from the TV show Sing Along Jubilee). Marianne Faithful changed hers, Melanie Safka, Sylvia Tyson - the list goes on. Compare Greenwood Sidie-o with anything Ian and Sylvia did even a few years later (Four Strong Winds).
Still can sing

Love Joan - she reminds me of the days when I was so young!

Ms. Baez's music and talent are timeless. I didn't agree with her politics back in the 70's but I always respected her as a performer.

Not bad for a 68 year old lady! I think I would look/sing a lot worse if I had been young in the 60's.

Out of curiosity, are Bob Dylan and Joan Baez on good terms these days? Cause she's clearly breaking his balls in this video, lol!
It really is crazy how much better she is than him nowadays.
