Buy a 351 roller, spend 600 for internals(rods and pistons, crank is stout), buy a used s475 turbo, build your own kit. That's about 1000. Upgrade rear and tranny, about $3k. Megasquirt and injectors, $700. You then have an easy 700hp car for around $7k, throw an extra $2k on for anything I forgot. You have a $9k 700hp car that can eat bikes. 2011 zx010r? $13800 without ABS.

Very few street cars can match the acceleration of a street bike. To really put things in perspective, in order to match the power to weight ratio of a 450 lb bike that has 190 hp, a 3000lb car would have to have 1267 hp.
I'm pretty sure the car vs. bike battle was put to rest in the November 2009 issue of Super Streetbike. The stock ZX-14 owned everything, but they said the Viper would have caught the ZX shortly after 120 mph. If you haven't read that article, its a STOCK ZX-14 vs. a bunch of cars while doing a 60-120 roll. The fastest car being a Viper with 950hp and the bike still wins. Car lovers can talk all the shit they want, but in the end a STOCK Busa/14 will smoke 99% of cars on the road.

400hp and you beat a 1000cc sport bike? Something was wrong with that bike. Everyone here believes bikes are faster than cars because they are. Something that weighs 400lbs and has 185hp goes a hell of a lot faster than something that weighs 4000lbs and has 400hp. 1000cc motorcycles run 0-60 in the low 2s. The only way to catch a running 1000cc sport bike with a car is in the twisties or if your cars top speed is higher than the bikes.... which is somewhere around 200mph.

The actually made 725 rwhp on a 316 cubic inch pushrod motor with 93 octane. It is quite capible of running with a bike. If it had a little more boost and a good auto trans i think the bike would be in for a run for its money. Hopefully someone builds a new dohc 5.0 motored fox mustang like this one with a turbo. I would expect it to run as strong as this with less boost. The future will be very interesting. Fuck you 2012!
Its a Turbo Mustang and a Fox Body to boot they are already light weight cars. Gutting them out would just make them even lighter. So when the car actually has traction made this a close race bike seem to pull on the top end prolly cause of the 5th gear in the Mustang.
At least we all agree the bike wasnt all out in terms of rev limiter getting hit and lots of wheelies so either that stang is not a low 10 sec car or that kawa is nines and its playing .
@dodutz i am talking about his shifting .Not his overall driving technique the wheelies are killing his times but his shifting between the gears is ok.The strategy he uses to race is all wrong this i agree.That car is never 10.20 cause the bike uis wasting at leasta half second with all the mistakes and a bikes speed is mostly out of the hole .That bike is pulling away from the mustang at higher speeds well into the triple digits.

@partyman255 btw, I'm talking in a straight line. I'm not saying around the twisties or anything. Typical liter bikes do mid-low 10's or high 9's with some work. Lots of guys at the 1/4 mile do that on street driven cars or cars that don't have a small fortune invested.

@302f150 well my bike is capable of a 9.7 at 147mph on the 1/4 mile. Just like any other vehicle it comes down to the operator but im pretty sure your car IS NOT capable of doing 147 in the quarter mile that's why people get sad when they see a bike that fast losing

The actually made 725 rwhp on a 316 cubic inch pushrod motor with 93 octane. It is quite capible of running with a bike. If it had a little more boost and a good auto trans i think the bike would be in for a run for its money. Hopefully someone builds a new dohc 5.0 motored fox mustang like this one with a turbo. I would expect it to run as strong as this with less boost. The future will be very interesting. Fuck you 2012!

Its a Turbo Mustang and a Fox Body to boot they are already light weight cars. Gutting them out would just make them even lighter. So when the car actually has traction made this a close race bike seem to pull on the top end prolly cause of the 5th gear in the Mustang.

@dodutz i am talking about his shifting .Not his overall driving technique the wheelies are killing his times but his shifting between the gears is ok.The strategy he uses to race is all wrong this i agree.That car is never 10.20 cause the bike uis wasting at leasta half second with all the mistakes and a bikes speed is mostly out of the hole .That bike is pulling away from the mustang at higher speeds well into the triple digits.

@Sideler74 I dont know my friend h ese pulling you pretty hard even rolling .If your car traps 141 mph he shouldnt be pulling that hard on you at top end .I understand off the holeshot but not at higher speeds.A zx 10 is a low 10 second bike at best with his gears and tuning .Unless your boost is at a lower level for the street then it is not a 10.20 car anymore.

Anyone ever race a bike with their car? Sure the biker wasn't the best driver, but the mustang didn't get its a** handed to it either. I 'm willin gto bet at least 75% of the people who call BS on this dont drive anything anywhere near as fast as the bike or the mustang

@bubbyj No, cars with tens of thousands of dollars have a chance of beating a stock bike. Hmm, a 450lb under $10g bike STOCK, vs. a $50,000 car with all the bells and whistles, might have a chance. It also depends on the rider. As you can hear this rider (on the bike) doesn't really know how to shift too well.

Ok given the bike did win the driver sucks. True story. Mustangs CAN be fast, but the driver of the bike was killing the redline. And to top it off ur clutching on the upshift???? Seriously dude. Me and room mate both have cbr's and when we race just keep on goin up. Any good biker understands.
