@racefactory900 Things like his vibrato at times like 0:51. Personally I think he couldn't hear himself well, which is no surprise because Yngwie plays really, really loud. Last time I saw him live his guitar was even sounding over the drums.

To sing this song perfectly in a live show, is something reaaaally difficult. What Goran did here was pretty decent and acceptable for a live performance. Anyway, in all this high tunes song he recorded with Yngwie, he was really far from being comfortable, he can sing it, but at his very limit. And then, it is really hard to go over those songs live, in a flawless fashion.

Yngwie's girlfriend told me that Goran was afraid of playing live and would get sick before shows. THis is when he got Mark Boals back for a bit. Fire and Ice was a good album of music from Ygwie though.

Yes, but no big deal really. He is cool but I have talked to his bandmembers and friends and they say he is a jerk.

I do admire his playing very much though and have been following his carrer since he was with Steeler. I have tons of rare live concert footage of him throughout his years.

The best footage I have was when he was in a battle of the bands in Sweden when he was like 17 yrs old....man he could shred!!! Amazing how much control of the instrument at that age.

I met Yngwie at G3 in WPB Fl. Told his wife about how when I was 14 my dad went to get his autograph and he wouldn't sign it but everyone else in the band did so she felt bad and gave me back stage pass to meet everyone on the G3 tour. It was bad ass.

Also My Student's Band "Rusted Through" has Yngwie's drummer Patric Johanson. They're Really good!

Great great song in deed, Edman is awesome here as well in the studio; but my vote as favorite goes to Jeff Scott Soto, he recorded the best YJM stuff and has a killer live voice. Too bad he didn't last in Journey, he fitted the band like a glove.

Edman is awesome! Melodic, great song writing, and, of course, an unbeatable voice. Listen to the Back on the streets version on John Norum's album and compare the singing to the original on Vinnie Vincent's album. All the quirks are smoothed out by Edmans voice... The Last Viking by the Johansson brothers is amazing, also Edman's work.

Personally I like this song alot. I especially like the Bach excerp in the middle. As for the vocals I like Goran's voice but in this performance he seems to be having trouble staying in key at times. The rest of the band also at the tail end of the solo seems t ohave trouble hearing the changes in the song as well. Maybe the sound guy was messing with the monitor mix. Yngwie is great though.

Fire & Ice - this is the an album that I personally like so much. Why ? Because it sounds so different. Much more bluesy, emotional in a very special way. This song is great and Göran sings ok (bit over vibrating his high notes, and this is why he don't sounds like in the album). In any other way I have to admit that I miss this kinda Yngwie era.
