some of those guys are fast as hell, i trained in tae kwon do for almost 20 years/3rd dan and won a few aau/ustu/state/national competitions back in the 90's. guys would always say head kicks are ownly in the movies, i seen lots of guys get knocked out with head kicks on the street and in competitions. in a tournamenst most guys are good at blocking head kicks and are trained well to do so and still get ko'ed. what ive learned most guys on the street dont know how to block kicks to there head.
@fredaddicks1 - Sorry to say, but the TKD of before was much more brutal. My instructor was a former ROK marine and his brand of TKD was hardcore. He wasn't into tournaments - he didn't encourage us to enter but didn't discourage us either. All I know is I used to have WELTS up and down my body.

A couple of kicks he threw at him was enough to get the big black dude out of pace and he did the round kick at him to finish him in the alley. They both were kinda drunk but the small guy did the great job in front of his girl friend. I guess he did have a choice after all with his girlfriend.
I realized how TDK was powerful in the alley behind the bar at that night...
