  • @lalitadityamuktapida Youre thinking doesnt count realy though, the people who made this were experts in warfare, wargames, history etc etc and from all around the world, they took everything in to account. They know best!

As for the Axis the Axis had already lost in Europe before the US enterd. The war in Europe was pretty much over at that point.

You my friend are a crack pot nutjob!

  • @athleticguyUK After U.S. entry into WW2, it was a matter of time before the Axis lost. It's a tribute to the Wehrmacht and the Imperial Japanese Army that it lasted so long. So I don't really consider it to have been close. Certainly it is the mother of all wars to have taken place so far. But had the U.S. and the british empire butted horns, that would have been a very very close war. Please don't get me started on experts. If you let me pick the experts, I can deliver any conclusion you want

  • Had the American's gone through with this, it would have been the mother of all wars. America would still have won though. India was seething under British rule. Had the yanks got a foothold in india, they could have issued a call for volunteers against the british savages. Every indian family would have sent one male to fight. I know mine would. The Brits would have been tougher foes than Nazi Germany or the imperial Japanese. But with Indian help, the Americans would win.

  • @richgold1984 Yes mate it's real.

  • Crazy man I'm an american and a history buff. Thanks for posting this, it will help make a great history report and just fill me in on something I didn't know. Thanks again.

  • @Subjct4Change No problem feller,glad ya liked.

  • @PhiloAmericana Also 'America break their backs & secure peace'??? loool how ignorant. It was America that used to FUND the I.R.A terrorists to blow up British citerzens, nail bombs going off in busy streets,a pregnant womans tummy slashed open & her unborn baby spilled out on to the street while she could only watch. Then America ( a country that funded terror for years) gets attacked by terrorists on 9/11 then declares war on terror!!

US Feeds Europe,id love to hear how that comes about? lol

  • Fuck Britain. It's utterly worthless these days.

  • Wat do Americans reali want?

  • @etakpeng mc donalds!

  • nspired by the British empire

  • The nazi would help Britain because hitler liked Britain before the war and was I

  • I love 42:50 to 43:32 really! The Chinese xD

  • The U.S always wanted to invade & occupy Canada just like 1812 failed invasion. War Plan red was more than just a plan, The US started 2 build bases and organise for the global conflict the U.S military started 2 expand. The Operation was only called due 2 the fact the British declared war on Germany, The Americans knew they coud bankrupt Britain and all the enemies of America would be defeated and the British too weak 2 be threat. Just like the British the Soviets ended up bankrupt 24/7.

  • Britain = The Greatest Empire in the world.

America = The Greatest Superpower in the world.

Both are proven to be the greatest war powers. :)

  • This is interesting and we should take these lessons to heart, and learn from. I know two of the scholars in this and they are brilliant.

  • But am glad the war never happened and I think we have a great friendship now and if we stick together we be unbeatable

  • Ha Americans think they would win cause have more men that means shit all and am pretty sure if ya watch the whole vid it say hilter was hopeing we would go to war cause he know Britain wouldn't back down and he even said he feared the brits cause they have proved in the pass that's brits are very good when its comes to war

  • Thing with British soldiers is, same with canadian, we won't stop till we've won or were dead. The us Canada and Britain have the bravest soldiers out there. So who ever did win, it would come at a great price. It would be one hell of a bloody war.

  • This is nothing surprising really. Even the most outlandish military plans (which involve aliens, zombies, and an attempted coup by the Girl Scouts) are good mental exercises for the planners and once made they cost only a few pennies from zilch to store just in case you ever actually need them... because you never know...

  • @ObssesedNuker

wait......there were actual 'joke' plans dealing with Aliens? I know the US Army made a joke zombie survival guide (yes, people not the book written - theres a DIFFERENT book made by the US Army on that)

  • And the Revolutionary war began in 1775.

  • Anglo-American melodrama, my very old friend. Having war plans against seemingly friendly nations is normal, not fantastic. And I thought it was already common knowledge that British-American relations were pretty icy back then. The dispute over Oregon, British construction of CSA commerce raiders, British rifles to the CSA, are these things forgotten entirely? It certainly seems so given the narrator's tone of revealing the scoop of the century.

  • There's a difference between a "planned war" and a "war plan". A war plan is a guard against contingencies, a plan to conduct a war if one starts, not a plan to start a war.

  • @BrooksRowlett But having the title as "planned war" excites more people to come view it,ecspecialy Americans. lol =)

  • @athleticguyUK lol well it worked mate =))

  • @athleticguyUK what you just said proves this video can be flagged for misleading title

  • @Blahblahblah14898 Youtube don't take any notice when a video is flagged, ecspecialy when it's flagged for a 'Misleading title'. Real bad racial videos and naked videos have been flagged on Youtube by many but still remain on Youtube,so you're lil flagging vendetta won't work me old china!

And besides, this is how it was titled for TV,good enough title for TV,good enough for Youtube.

You need a girlfriend or find somthing more important to worry about! lol

  • Interesting how youtubers suddenly became war "experts". Grow up.

  • @AmzitheSoldier Yep 100%

  • @AmzitheSoldier Lemme guess...your American...and probably never even watched the whole video? lol

  • What a waste of a perfectly good scenario!

  • US would have been humiliated in this war. Even if she managed to invade Canada, think of the other parts of the empire. The US would have to fight 25% of the world.

  • @TheLiberalKnight Are you high?

  • @AmzitheSoldier Nope. Your pathetic little Israel state was just part of Britain's empire, which spanned over 25% of the world. That's a fact. And 1/3 of world trade too.

  • @TheLiberalKnight I am not Israeli, nor are my ancestors from Israel, nor am I Jewish. Your sad attempt to make fun of me is the only pathetic thing here. Most of the British Empire was empty. In the 1930's you honestly think that America (whose economy was TWICE that of the British empire) would have lost a sneak attack on Canada? In every single category of production America was superior, yes that includes the Navy. There is no way the British had any hope of winning a war against the US...

  • @AmzitheSoldier I can see you have spent far to much time in the US,you have that 'Bigger military budget and more more man power = instant win mentality'.

Bigger budget etc doesnt mean "instant win" as history has proven many times over. Look at the Taliban, they dont have a budget and are taking on the world and suceeding. look at the Falklands War 229 Argentinian Jet fighters against Britains 39,but Britain smacked thier bums. History proves you wrong time and time again...

  • @athleticguyUK Your examples don't hold water, the war with the Taliban is a non-conventional war and can you honestly say "the world" is giving it everything it has...no... The same with the American revolutionary war. I can see your British due to ignoring every part of my post except for the one you want to argue. Not only did America have a larger economy, but also has resources and had, by far, more industrial power and had the ability to call on more troops as we saw in WW2...

  • @AmzitheSoldier You clearly no nothing about WW2 my man.at the time of WW2 Britains Navy and RAF were the most advanced in the world and we were the only ones who had radar. if the US came anywhere near British terrirtory by plane it would of been The Battle of Britain all over again, and we know how that ended. PLUS the US couldnt just fly across the ocean they would never of made it,Germany is alot closer than the US and they only just had enough fuel to get to UK for 5 mins then had to return

  • @AmzitheSoldier An its not about numbers, saying the US had more people so would of had more troops means nothing.

Its widely excepted that Germany had between 5 to 6 million men..........how many men did the kill just in Russia???? OVER 11 Million. (Then remember many of Germanys 5-6 million troops were dead BEFORE they even invaded Russia)

So your typical American theory of 'More men = instant win' has been proven wrong by the facts of History yet again!

  • @AmzitheSoldier So u are disagreeing with world military experts, historians and war planners who put this documentry together,u know better than them????? Youre 1 mind knows better than lots of experts minds put together????

It is just youre patriotizm talking, youre not talking logicaly, purley patriotizm.

  • @BoyMunkey08 Those military experts/historians said that Canada would have likely been given to the USA. And that means patriotism? So listening to military experts means im not logical....

  • @AmzitheSoldier 1/4 of the world population. Fact.

You need to learn history. The economy of the USA was NOT twice the size of the British economy... you must be out of your fucking mind! Seriously, if you say such a retarded made up fact again, I will not talk to you.

The British navy was NOT the most technologically advanced navy in the 30s, but it was BY FAR the biggest, and would have defeated the US navy. And of course our army would be treble your's.

  • @redxenos Well no its not misleading, its merley just about War Plan Red! lol

Next week they may well do War Plan Orange or any of the others. You cant fit all those War Plans in to a 1 hour show. Nothing to do with American pragmatism, they never stated War Plan Red was the only War Plan, they merely focused on one of the War Plans.

  • @athleticguyUK The documentary gave the impression that American planners had a special fear or mistrust of Britain in particular. The makers of this documentary should have mentioned the other plans (no need for a show about each one, a couple of minutes would suffice) in order to put Plan Red into its proper context rather than blow it out of proportion and make it seem more significant than it actually was.

This documentary was clearly made more for entertainment than a serious study.

  • @redxenos But the US feared Britain more than any other, pretty much everyone feared the British back then. During the Revoloutionary War the US had nothing for the Empire to gain and the Brit troops were needed elsewhere, they had bigger fish to fry so moved on to fight those other Wars, the Empire grew after the Revoloutionary War. The US feared Britain would come back now the US had somthing for the Empire to gain, and knew that only Britain stood a chance of retaking the US. Was always a fear!

  • This war would never had occurred. Britain never desired such a war with the USA so their concern was unfounded. While it may be true that historically Britain had been agressive towards its rivals, they had gone to great lengths to avoid war with the USA many times because there was nothing to gain from such a war.

  • @redxenos But this documentry points out that if America started such a War by invading British territory Britain would have gone to War with them just like the did everyone else who tried. Britain never backed down from anyone,if anyone touched their land they went in swinging. Britain would never of just sat back and let America invade Canada.

  • @athleticguyUK The Empire of Japan was a much greater and more obvious threat than the British Empire yet the USA still took no pre-emptive action against them. Anyway, War Plan Red is not so so surprising and the significance of the plan is grossly overestimated. The USA has, and still does have plans for a war against any other major power. In the 1930's there were also plans for possible wars with Germany, Japan and the USSR which aren't even mentioned in this documentary.

  • Interesting video, but not surprising. The US and the UK didn't really get along until WWII, and that was with Churchill and Roosevelt beating it into people's heads that we really needed each other. In the US, back in the '30s, the "redcoat" was as detested as the "hun", War at some point seemed quite possible. Good thing for us all that it never happened. I also like the ominous wrap-up at the end which eluded to a possible US/Western conflict with China.

  • I wish they had attacked us as we had the advantage then.

Also Hitler was a big fan of the British Empire before the war so Nazi Germany,Italy and the Empire of Japan would have backed us. UNSTOPPABLE!

This show didn't go into full detail.

And the Yankies wouldn't of had the French,Dutch and Spanish to help them this time.

What a shame for us now.

  • @benitofinito This show was based on what evidence they did have. There was no evidence Japan,Italy etc would of joined in and teamed up with Britain.

Although i think its fair to say if it had of happend Hitler would of "wanted" to team up with Britain as he loved admired and feared the British. (even said so in his own book)

  • @athleticguyUK

Japan was working toward the Tanaka memorial plan for world conquest. This would have been the answer to their prayers getting rid of the nation that was threatening them in the 30's.

The show fails to point out all the British technology in use and being developed like radar,Jet engines,, A lot of technology that we would later share to help the US beat the Japs.

I've read about half the UK being right-wing at the time imagine how losing Canada would make that 100%.

  • Pobably wanted revenge after they were humiliated in the war of 1812!

  • i dont believe this lol america and britain will always be friends
