i dont think it was fair for charmed to make cole go evil like they did. he was a good man, that did everything in his power to be good. the message they sent was very wrong. they basically were saying that you are prediterminally GOOD OR EVIL, AND EVEN IF YOU WANT TO BE GOOD YOU CAN'T BE. Thats not a good message to send out in the world. I would have rather had him die as a good man. cole diserved better than the show gave him.

I think the better way for Cole to have left Charmed was not as a bad guy going crazy. But a loving husband who sacrificed his life to save Pheobe. It would have been more of a powerful reason Pheobe gave up on love. Her take would have been "Evertime I get close to someone they die and losing Cole was too much. It still would help make the episode "7 year witch make sense.

Anyway, great video. I loved the character, and hated it when they started to write him out because Milano was paranoid about his growing popularity. And I also hated they way they wrote him out from his pov, but did think it was well done and deep in many ways. This was one of my favorite episodes of his downward spiral. I remember this episode. At the end, Phoebe told Cole that while they did want him dead, it would be on *their* terms - they wouldn't help him commit suicide. I always thought that was stupid. They wouldn't let him end it on his own terms, yet risk him destroying more lives and so they could murder him? No Peace for Cole whatsoever, it has to end as badly as possible for him? Sheesh.
