I loved and played MC2.

Games back in the day had so much more PC-like features. Counterstrike for Xbox had the Option, to turn your console into a dedicated Server. This would turn your screen into a neutral menu and let you invite people to play. That was so amazing and would solve sooo many p2p problems we have today.

Again, I loved bf:mc2, top 10 ranks heli / engi and best communitvy ever.

Developers are not as endowing (sure there's a better word) as they used to be. Today what is respected in the developing market is not so much the quality in mass you can give out, it's the max profit you can seep from a development or idea. Money runs the game. Innovation and immensity come in second.

Oh those memories! he forgot about the singleplayer that it had "speedswitching" meaning you could switch between team-mates to do different kinds of tasks or classes. Plus it was cool to play on both sides on the game and seeing their own propaganda :D I wonder do people still play this on the ps2???

Plain and simple, bitch all you want but outside of the networking features like Clan support and console server browsers there's no way they could have kept the map sizes they had for Modern Combat in BC2 and presented a game whose visual quality was anywhere close to industry standards. PC or console. The tech, the trial an error that is involved in building a proper game engine, simply was there in the original Frostbite Engine.

I like how people treat the Bad Company series like it should stand up to a main entry in the BF universe. First off it trades a lot of the things talked about in this video to do something in an online game mode that few other games have ever done period, and that's proper destruction. Secondly the entire series is obviously a testing ground for things like storytelling, balancing, and the new engine itself. BC series was made so that if they fucked up Frostbite they wouldn't hurt Battlefield.

I'm a proud console player. I used to be PC exclusively until PS2 came out with Modern Combat. I couldn't, and didn't, want to have to upgrade my PC every 4 years just to be able to play the game. Financially, console is all I can do and I'm perfectly happy with my PS3 and will be for years to come.
