  • Graham Parker and the Rumour=The Perfect Storm

  • I am 47 and, back in the day, Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson and Mr. Parker were major influences. I still perform You Can't Be Too Strong from Squeezing Out Sparks in my acoustic shows.

  • Underrated musician

  • I turned someone on to this CD just today. One of my students who is maybe 21. He'd heard of Elvis Costello but not of GP... I think he's in for a treat.

Hard to believe this is 25 years old, maybe a little more...

  • bruce even recognizes this mans music, book him on all shows in all venues hes the best

  • It doesn't matter if you fill up all the venues but the difference you make to the life of those that were actually there to watch you perform. GP 4 eva !!!

  • i've played mr. parker's music for lots of folks over the years, and most become obsessed w/the man, like "where's this guy BEEN all my life?" he inspires adoration, much like when people "get" springsteen for the 1st time. parker's music & attitude & honesty just hit you on a direct, gut level; let's hope he gets some recognition before he's gone.

  • c,mon jools book a real life legend.excellent stuff mate...

  • master graham

  • "The waterfalls trinkling like bells to my ear, the earth rolls out before me through smiles and tears, a country lost, a soul discovered, the ruin that i once was will soon recover. And i know a howlin' wind runs through here, takes my breath away. Swing time's here children, for large and small, let's dance before the fever is upon us all, yeah, it's a strange religion, without any god, the preacher walks with innocent spares the rod. (2 time CHORUS) GP 4ever.. Awesome..

  • one of my favourites GP song. Still remember his gig in rome, 1982. The venue was quite empty, but none of the people there will forget that show.

  • ahhhh , I miss them

Still tailor made for a hootenanny

Jools Holland, are you paying attention?

I'm gonna watch the moon come down

  • Spot on! Come on Jools book the man!

  • Thanks for posting Piruk. I saw GP in concert in 1978? when I was at university and I'm rediscovering him now through Youtube.
