I've seen a segment from Conan with Triumph the dog with interviews of people at comicon that makes fun of them, but in an over the top way. You just seem mean and rude. comic con used to be about comics, now it's just about promoting movies. Or well the sandiego con is mainly about that. I would love to go to a con 1 day but, I wanna go to 1 that caters more towards comics and not just whoring out to Hollywood.

The only time we've been privileged to see who's behind the Rez's camera was as a fuzzy reflection in a shop window - and it was a camerawoman, not a cameraman.

comic con used to be about comics, now it's just about promoting movies. Or well the sandiego con is mainly about that. I would love to go to a con 1 day but, I wanna go to 1 that caters more towards comics and not just whoring out to Hollywood.

I kind of like that you have started reporting on events that wouldnt be considered mainstream, though I miss the more poignant commentaries you used to do.
I dont think you are really making fun of the convention. Anyone who has ever attended a comic or sci fi convention knows how wacky and campy they can be. It would have been more funny if you got into the spirit and put your hair up in the Princess Leia ear muff style ;)

"Alright, I guess I'm leaving" was well placed. I'm a nerd. . .but I do not much like comics, I just haven't liked any since I was a little kid. Some of them have. . .good illustrations e.g. Todd Mcfarlane's works but generally it just looks like crap written as crap.
PS: Even if you were to go to an anime convention, I doubt your insults about it would pertain to me, as I hate shit like Naruto, giant creepy looking anime eye, stupid looking anime hair & character's having the same face

i agree, this one isnt as bad as some of the previous interviews (like the musium) but she doesnt try to understand who shes interviewing.
and one thing bout comicon that she either missed or just didnt care about is the press conferences. any movie that has anything to do with modern action is ALWAYS there. well thats what i have noticed from all the bootlegged footage on youtube and all these sites reporting on movies

The only time we've been privileged to see who's behind the Rez's camera was as a fuzzy reflection in a shop window - and it was a camerawoman, not a cameraman.
But that was quite a while ago, so I don't know if that's still the case now, though.

Pretty lame, Laurie. I was impressed by your earlier vids, like the one when Vonnegut died, but you've become increasingly superficial. Anyone vaguely involved with the media knows Comic Con has become a pop culture venue, games, anime, genre movies.
Modern comics have some very powerful works, "The Watchmen," David Mack's "Kabuki," for example. This focus on the nerd element of comic fans has been a recurring theme of mainstream news coverage; I thought The Resident was more alternative.

I totally agree. I used to be a big fan, but every video I have seen of late has been so negative, not funny, overly sarcastic, and shallow. There is so much potential to actually educate, or discuss. Instead I'm seeing criticism and negativity,
