god we have loud sirens o,o doesn't help when they're is one not to far from u so its louder in my kitchen then the living room lol. sever storms round here make good lighting^^ out west the storms i saw every time made the web lighting(idk its actual name) nice lighting^^
I live inSpringfield, most of the time storms go around us, but when we do get storms, CRAP!!!!!!! Better have a freakin basement!!!!!!!!! I have lived through tornados, scary stuff man!!!
@22Warriorcat i live in Springfield on the north side and have noticed it seems like south side Springfield gets it worse then over here o,o Ive heard somewhere the reason we don't get many tornadoes is the Ozark hills although i think ive seen a funnel cloud once not sure tho o,o it was right in front of my apt and my mom had just left with a friend and they said they saw a funnel cloud pop out and it was gone in like 2 secs
One last thing I thought I should add is that my uncle has family out in Moberly, Missouri. My uncle's mom is terrified of thunderstorms, and once hid under the bed when one was going on when she was staying with my aunt and uncle in VA Beach. I wonder how she reacts when a tornado's coming!
I was at Ft.Learnerwood when this happened.Scared the shit out of me. This video is scary cuz when teh siren like this goes off and it's that quiet outside. That tells me a tornado is that fucking close to were you were at. This happend in Febuary 2008 if anyone wants 2 know.
I love the ending. Its like a grand finale of tornado sirens wanting to join LOL. At 02:24 thats where you hear the really high pitch siren which is the Federal Signal 2001.
I work in Springfield,MO. Springfield/Greene county Emergency Management office utilizes Federal Signal 2001's with the wail signal for tornado warnings like that at the end. Where at in Springfield was this shot taken? Could you have been near Battlefield/Springfield city limits?
how often do they test these? only twice since i moved here have i heard it and i moved here in august, then again, my house is full of fans so i may not have heard it.
Sounds like a STH-10 is in the mix too, blending in with that other 9/12 port ratio siren (SD-10?). That 2001 came out of nowhere and drowned those two sirens out for a couple seconds at a time!
I think the tornado siren would freak me more out then i would be already.

There's a good wakeup call! Those tornado sirens are scary. I like the way the two siren tones blend together! Nice footage!

In addition to the SD-10's, I also hear some 2001's going off.
