  • does stealth just mean straight angularity?

  • That is not a stealth boat, i can see it!

  • @TheOzzy94 stupid, you can't see it on a radar. thats why it calls stealth.

  • o cisne branco vai navegando pelo mar imenso............

  • FAB!!!

  • Wouldn't want to be on that thing in a fire. Carbon fiber and vinyl over PVC core.

  • It looks like a very fragile plastic toy.

  • The 58mm mk 3 has programmable rounds , and the mk3 model is implemented on all swedish guns since 2006 so it can fire 300 shells a minute , it has perimetrical electronic defence wich is operatioanl on all vessels currently, which makes it missile invisible, and in war they remove the now fitted cap on teh sides wich gives it a radar signal for peaceful use. And no, they are equipped with robots that work, but not all of them as these have peace colors..

  • See this amazing war machine !!!

  • That is one cool ship.

  • I dont think that they would participate in a FOST exercise in GB if the ship didnt work ok. They are over there as we speak.

  • @chris38721 and they've had a series of problems with them all of this week and last week, i have a new channel PlymmarineWatch, it has all the latest video's from the past few weeks, including the visbys carrying out weapons checks as they go out, if you want a link check out my subscriptions

  • @muppetandsmurf

No they do not have problems and did i tell you that Norwegians have their own Skjöld class?

  • this ship is a interesting design but from what i have read this ship has been plagued by problems and the only weapon that works on it is the gun. the The Hamina class the Finnish ship seems to be a better ship based on the fact it has surface to air and anti ship missiles

  • @cksteele thanks for the comment, i haven't looked at the finnish ships before but i'll check them out, sound interesting. i wasn't aware they were having issues with this class of ship. i've started a channel up just for shipping, i've got more clips of the visby's plus a load of other stuff, feel free to check it out, if you would like the link just let me know

  • @muppetandsmurf yeah the problems from what i have read have been with weapons systems/packages for the ship and budget cuts on the program has taken alot of teeth outta a very formidable ship design

  • @cksteele now that doesn't suprise me, cuts ruin the best things. shame to hear, could be such an amazing design with the right funding and backing. my other channel is called PlymMaritineWatch, check out my subscriptions to find it, we're uploading a video from yesterday of the visbys, they're looking rough, not half as pristine as they used to be.

  • @muppetandsmurf

Actually there's no trouble with the weapon systems, both the Rbs 15, torpedoes, deph charges and the the planned AA systems are working. The problem is that the government decided to cut expenses and not arm their newly built vessesls accordingly, which is a terrible waste of a brilliant design and tax payers money, since the vessels will not be able to perform all of the duties they were designed and constructed for..

    ;)

  • @cksteele The 57mm gun is the only weapon that is currently integrated on the ships, torpedoes and anti ship missiles will be integrated when they are upgraded to version 5.

  • Visby class is a good example how advanced nordic countries are in technology.

Do not forget Gotland subs. US leased HMS Gotland for a year and found out that it can be devastating for US fleet .

Search for gotland from naval-technology pages

  • @Jyrki1964

I read and saw that show =) I was kinda amazed. The nordic countries may be small with little populations but they sure can develop some of the best killing machines in the world, and that's a fact.

  • Migthy!!

  • This craft would be somewhat difficult to track, and locate at sea (radar as well), without adoubt bad new for the destroyers, and frigates trying to locate her at top operational speed ( Night action), the rival vessel shall have to remain out of her missile range.

  • @MrJeffreydunson its vertually impossible to track, all crew have to remain inside the vessel too, hence the no walkways or crew outside so that there is no heat emmited too. i've seen it in heavy fog too and from about 30 meters it is near enough invisible.

  • @muppetandsmurf Oh, i don't know about that ?!! We know a little bit about " Stealth Tech " which most have not the same level of ' know how " Spy Satellites "

  • @MrJeffreydunson You can still track stealth vessels, you just need to know what your looking for as well as having good radars. i.e S1850M long range radar would be capable of the job.

Sonar would be best, SSN could take this craft out in no time at all.

  • @ClassicTossPot Yes, true !!! the USN's CVBG has control of a 440 nat. mile radius, around it and the aircraft to hunt down such a craft, and please, do stay clear of the Aegis Destroyers --- bad news, HARPOON MISSILES !!!!

  • @ClassicTossPot go ahead and try!

  • @ClassicTossPot

A sonar? SNN could take this craft out in no time? Wow man.

You can't even see the waves on the radar, which is the main lead in tracking stealth boats.

  • My brother work on HSM Härnösand :)

  • @Jontegun945 wow, awsome. :-)

  • @Jontegun945 WGARA!

  • very nice =P

  • @gingerkin cheers dude ;-)
