holy shit you're a savant. not many musicians can see through colour. it is an evolutionary trait to be able to see music through colour. you're very talented =) theres very very few people who has that ability. don't take it for granted and trust me its pretty rare! you're quite special.

@birdsofafeather1990 it is for all instruments/octaves..it depends most on the key the piece is in, rather than the tone colour, though of course that influences things as well..Umm it's not a blob...it's like....forever moving with the music....it's patterns and combinations of colour that are hard to describe..it just provides an additional point of reference for me

I found the part when you were talking about synesthesia really interesting: I see colors when I think of numbers. So for example number 1 is white, 4 is orange, 5 is blue, 6 is green, 8 is a dark brown and so on. This gets funny when I see those numbers combined together: if I see - let's say - number 58, i see like a landscape at night (dark brown + blue). 46 reminds me of carrots (green+orange). Weird as hell but pretty funny!

@choyok369 yep, look for a full size (88 keys), and the keys should be weighted. Yamaha, Roland and Kawai are all good bets :)
