I just finished reading Sweet Relief and although i don't agree with much of Marla's politics, i admire her for not waiting for someone or government to get her to where she wanted to be. She made things happen.

A brave woman. We have done nothing but create havoc in Iraq. I'm proud that there were US women there who were humane, loving, peaceful and known to be so by the Iraqi people.
that dumb american raised millions for iraqi families that were decimated by our war...iraqi families we were supposedly liberating...she also got a republican led congress to give monies to those same families...she accomplished more and touched more people in her short life, then most of us will do in a lifetime
Ruzicka and Faiz were heading east on the airport road, toward Baghdad. Also on the road were a U.S. military convoy and a convoy of private security contractors. From a nearby on-ramp, a suicide bomber merged into the traffic, most likely gunning for the military convoy, which he missed. Instead, he detonated beside his next best choice, the security convoy. Behind them was a Mercedes. Marla was in the mercedes.Marla Ruzicka was killed in Baghdad on Saturaday 4/16/05.
Marla should've stayed her ass in the good ole ' U.S of A.... She could've done all of that nice charity work from the safety of her kitchen like the rest of the bored overly compassionate Democrats.
