Most of these comments are correct. His beat four is too low. A perfect four pattern should be like climbing tree branches. Beats 2, 3, and 4 should each be a bit higher than the last. Instead of counting, he should have used a metronome.

When the camera is not on his face, the counting is not properly in sync with the conducting. (try counting along yourself) I think this is a problem with the recording.

actually that's not true. The most important thing about conducting is rhythm, if you wave both arms in the most musical way but have no definition or clarity in your right hand, all you will have is a bunch of musicians who will hate playing along with you.
