At the beginning it looks like he's tilting the broom up to get rid of a limb. They'll stop up a hose pretty quick. :< (Although sometimes you can run over them with the front tire, and that will help smash them so that when they go up under the pickup head, the powerful suction causes them to break.)

this guy is good i took off after the new street sweeper driver we got last week in my car, while sweeping he reached speedsw of up to 30 he does the worlds crappyest job!.

they are louder than the Elgin vacume sweepers

our city uses Elgin, and they can't clean worth anything. Super slow and the few times a year they actually take them out on the streets you can't even tell that they were there. Watched them go down the street at 10 km/h and you can barely tell the difference between swept and non swept. Worst sweepers I've ever seen. Gimme a Johnston/Beam any day.

the thing that pisses me off is when your cleaning the streets and you have cars parked all over you cant do a good sweeping the streets

That's bad planning TBH. Sweep residential early in the morning when everyone's taking their kids to school and going to work, main streets at night when everyone's home, and commercial in the evening when everyone's gone to town. Never seen it an issue in Denmark (of course there's fewer cars).

Here in Alberta they give you 24 hrs notice to move your car, or it gets towed so they can sweep. They spend so much money and time on towing cars they can't afford to sweep more than 2-3 times a year.

Yeah, where i live the city uses the 1997 Johnston V4000, iv always loved that model! id watch it every time it passed!

Tymco model 600. That's just like the one I run. 8) It'll pick up just about anything except tree-limbs... :(
