I so remember going down to Oregon Illinois to a coffee house called the Washington Mercantile. Great talent came through there and a regular there was Jim Post. What a great guy. We had more fun when he would come there.
Amazingrace in Evanston, Great to see those words again... wonderful memories of sitting on the floor listening to Jim Post. His song, 'Three soft touches'... brings tears to my eyes... three soft touches are still my husband and my way of silently saying... ' I love you' . Thanks for putting this song up on youtube !
This one is on 1977's "Back on the Street Again," on Mountain Railroad records, which I had on vinyl way back when. It's an electrifying live version, better than this one. It was recorded at Amazingrace in Evanston, where I once saw him live. A night I'll never forget.
@stanmrak68 I just ordered this through jim post.com and I'm not sure if I'm getting vinyl or CD. I hope CD. I know that at least Colorado Exile is on CD.
The first time I saw Jim was at Harper College when I spent all my time in the painting studio. One night I took a break & was enchanted by his show. Later, every time he played at Holstein's in Chicago, my ex-wife & I would make it a point to be there. Pure magnificence. Thanks for posting

Another great song by Jim Post, this is my lucky day. Boy would I love to hear
"Colorado Exile". It's nice to see other Post fans signing in here. I wish I could
share my photos of Jim with you. It was cool to hit the Earl Of Old Town for
their Sunday matinees (when things were chill) and listen to Post, Fred and Ed
Holstein, and others. It would be great to also hear "Prepare For Invasion", but
I won't be greedy, I'll thank you for posting this.

Bicycle Wheel is my favorite Jim Post tune. Why it isn't available on any of his CDs is tragic.
