Lovely dancing! My partner and I have been dancing Ceroc for about 2.5 years and we are going to Ceroc for our first dance also. I wonder if I could ask you a question about how it worked with your beautiful dress? It looks like your dress has a train that is bustled - is that right? Mine has a chapel length train and I'm just wondering how its all going to work and how I should get it bustled to best be able to dance in it! =)
Hi and thank you. My dress had buttons all the way down the back, to the very end of the train. I had a 'figure 8' made from a piece of satin which was used to loop around a button close to my waist and then the dress was lifted up/bustled and the other 'whole' in the figure 8 was connected to another button.....
My dress was very heavy so I reinforced both buttons which were going to be used with LOTS of extra stitching and I also had one of my bridesmaids use nappy pins from the under side of my dress to pin through all the layers of the bustle except the very outer layer. Hope this makes some sense.
Im getting married soon and we are going to do a ceroc dance aswell (intermediate level) With the lifts you did were you actual grabbed her leg how much support was there and did you feel like you were going to drop her? Also the big lift you did how'd you do that?? Thanks
