  • can sum1 giv me a serial for comodo

  • @SovietUnion100 Here is the serial:

COMODO is freeeeeeee no serial needed

  • I found comodo years ago love it not sure bout the virus but alot of usefull free tools without malware or bullshit

  • @okkol45 not everyone has ccleaner or atf cleaner installed.the security suites in general should not be letting ANY malware into the system.

As you can see from this video no security suite is perfect.

  • Simply, Install another Windows Xp (using another Partition), your PC will act as a Reference , so your comparison will be fair enough.

So every AV will use the same PC (same resources). I used Norton AV but,Start up alone took more than 3 minute to finish!!! my Hardware: AthlonIIX2 240 ,4GB DDR2 800>

  • Hey geraner

Can you make a video of running the following combo.

Avira Antivir Premium + Comodo Firewall

    Thanks

  • If the comodo setting is changed from partially limited to untrusted no malware will get through.

  • @MrArnold1972 Thanks for this info. Then this function is similar to the "Application Control" in Kaspersky Internet Security, where you can set "For unknown applications move to the group untrusted automatically."

  • @geraner Hi Geraner.

Yes i believe it works in the same way.

I dont like the partially limited sound of this setting.

I think that kaspersky is far more configuarable than comodo.

  • @MrArnold1972 I agree with you.

  • @geraner I would have to say that norton is looking the most attractive security product at the moment.

I havent used norton for quite a while now but it seems to have improved greatly.

I feel comodo are having problems with their latest release.

It doesnt seem as stable as it used to be and also signed malware entering the trusted vendors isnt helping either.

    Thanks Geraner.

  • @geraner It's good to see people like you who take the time to explain and show how the Anti-Virus programs work.I'm not to savvy on on these AV protection products. If I were to get Norton Internet Security 2011, would you recommend any other products such as Mal-ware Bytes, Ccleaner, etc...I see many people stock up on multiple products for maximum protection. Thank you in advance!

  • @geraner Hey I Am Just Going To Buy An Antivirus And I Am Choosing Between Avast And Comodo Which One Do I Choose

  • @ashishdass10000 definitely Comodo dude

  • you dont know how to use comodo lol

  • well Dude,, sorry to say that All your Videos are Deceptions!

you can not compare between 2 anti viruses using virtual machine.

to make fair comparison please setup another Xp OS then compare.

if you are Norton fan boy , BE straightforward & accurate.

  • @drdxd I'm not a Norton fanboy. But how to compare antivirus products and record it at the same time if not with the help of a virtual box or vmware?

  • don't mess with norton internet security 2011

  • i dont think you know how the sandbox works. from my understanding even though that rogue was there it can actually do anything. comodo made those files 'partially limited' so they will never get the access they want---so they may as well not be there.

if norton doesn't have a signature, your fucked. if comodo doesn't have one then it doesn't really matter.

  • @SonicDangles it does matter if someone clicks wrongly on a D+ alert.

one wrong click and malware will come sailing into your system.

Comodo is for more advanced users.

  • Good review dude, I realized that NIS 2011 is really good terms of virus recognition and system resources. I removed KIS 2011 and installed NIS 2011. Good product.

  • Sorry to say this man, but you obviously are a Norton homeboy. I've checked all of your videos and half of them are like Norton vs. something. Al least if they were paying you...

  • @tubeadro I'm not getting payed by Norton or something.

I just made the tests myself and realized that Norton is one of the best AV products out there when it comes to usability and automatic decision taking without interrupting the user with to many questions.

  • I KNEW LANGUY WOULD COMMENT IN HERE LOL

  • Thank you geraner for the test. It was my request and you did it. I am very appreciated. CIS is good but it has false positives a lot. For example it flaged my skype.exe as trojan. Now it has behavioral scanning and this is also pain. I liked Norton more. It is very very good and enough for a home user.

  • Did you know that virual box does not work properly with some security software like Comodo, Karspersky, OnlineArmor an other due to the limitations of the software?

WARNING: CIS does not work properly in VirtualBox because of the limitations imposed by this virtual machine(Vectored Exceptions fail). So please test it with another VM software.

  • Great video Geraner, you proved my point in these videos, the comodo sandbox is their weakest link in their suite.Turn off the sandbox and everything has to go through Defense plus where anything malicious would be blocked. I agree that Norton has really improved, I have heard comodo v5 is still a work in progress with more security to be added.we'll see!

  • just a few FYI, if you want it to automatically quarantine those files go to antivirus -> scanner settings -> real time tab -> check Automatically Quarantine threats.

Also if you open the main UI then click the number listed to the left of unrecognized files observed, a new window will open, then select all of the files, and click delete files it will remove all the files that are unknown and where run in the sandbox.

  • @languy99 Thanks. I never used Comodo and where not really looking for the "Automatically Quarantiene threats" function. As usually I'm testing all products with the default settings. - Most of the AV products can be optimized with some settings changes. But I believe 80-90% of all users are running there AV program with the default settings.

Anyway, thanks your comment and info.

  • nice review man, norton is great for novice users but comodo is for more advanced users. If comodo is customized correctly with its advanced settings then its truly unstoppable. But I must say that both products are great. Thanks again.

  • @OntOSZ I agree with you! Norton is great for novice users and Comodo more for advance users. Comodo is a good free AV program. If you just compare it with AVG in one of my latest videos.... difference like day and night compared to Comodo.

  • @OntOSZ That's just the problem though. Why isn't customised correctly by default? And is there a page we can go to that tells people how to customise Commodo correctly (as you have said) with its advanced settings?

Why they just don't make those settings as default is beyond me.

  • great review man don't be sorry everyone makes mistakes *Liked

  • @TheBuckbull Thanks man! Yes, we all are human... and nobody is perfect. ;-)

    Great that you liked it.

  • Those14 things that hitman pro found were the malware you had in that virus folder. They were not actually infecting the computer

  • @Narutoverse13 I know, but anyway, it's virus files which Comodo missed and not removed. It's the same in video 3. The files scanned with HitmanPro where just on the hard disk, not in the memory.

  • Odd why is that Wireshark rogue still there?

  • @cheater87 It's not a rogue. It's the real Wireshark which I have installed on the virtual installation in case I needed for deeper mailware analize (checking network communication).

  • @geraner there is a wireshark antivirus rogue that IIRC has the SAME icon.

  • @cheater87 I know. I have seen that as well. But this Wireshark on the desktop is the real Wireshark program which I installed before testing. (in case I needed it)

  • No need to apoligize. Your vids are awesome G. keep em up. You're so freaking awesome

  • @Narutoverse13 Thanks man! :-)
