This song is simply genius, not to mention far too catchy for it's own good. The last section is, without a doubt, the first thing I'd play if I ever happened upon a Hammond organ left completely unattended. <_<
The music builds up and up, it's fantastic. Thank you cyberdemon1993 for posting all this music as a playlist, I'm sure many of us have used it to brighten up our days.
MNSG: One of the best gaming soundtracks ever created I think.
The first time I finished this game it took me a week and two days, I spent a whole day in this castle but I actually enjoyed every corner hearing this music... Ahhh the good days, no internet to cheat on your favorite games...
@richyroa Yknow What I Wasnt a Total Visualizer of Games When I was Little It Took Me 10 years to Beat this Reason why My Big Brother didnt know How to Get Pass the second Dungeon Then When I got there I had the Exact same problem we gave up Then Im 13 I remember not Beating This Game So For the last few days I been focusing on that game So When I beat it I felt Relieved but I was Pissed at the Ending they save the World Just To Be Hated By Fans Ugh Poor Goemon and Gang
It was a brilliant idea that, when you developed in a castle and got farer into it and nearer to the boss, the music also developed and got better and better. Fascinating that no other game then tried to do this with the background music...
i was SO lucky to randomly come across this game, when i was little i was obsessed with ninjas, somehow heard about this game which is pretty damn obscure, and just because it had ninja in the title i begged my mom to order it online. to this day I am amazed at how much this game which i chose completely at random had to offer.
I remember growing up and not having a lottta money and this was one of the first games i got in 1998... i was in 6th grade. my mom never got me a memory card lol! but i remember playing this level and as the dificullty enhanced the music got more intense!!! I live for the music!!! but I never understood thos androgenous silly collored men..
I personally love the music of this dungeon. I don't really understand why people hated this dungeon so much. It was one of my favourites, although I do admit it was easy to get lost, but why else do you have a map for? It occurs to me that people get easily annoyed by pressing pause to see where they are constantly, but it's part of the game. It's not perfect, but hell it was a good game. So underrated and so unknown.
If we all like this game then let's email Nintendo asking them to put it on the Vitual Console.(I have a friend who close lives to Main Corporation in America and he told me that if that if a bunch of people email them about a certain game the Corporation might want to put the game out sooner.)
what i loved about these castles is that the music just got more and more intense so it reflected the progress you were making but also the fact that it was getting harder and much more fun.
I love the giant room near the end with the fish rotating around the central pole that you have to jump on. This game wasn't afraid of making enormous environments with tons and tons of space between stuff. I really appreciated that about it.
my mistake. i was thinking of ghost toyls castle. and yes, i HATED this level now that i remember correctly. I was stuck here for literally weeks. Ah, thank god the internet exists now to solve such problems.
i remember crying because sasuke would get buttfucked whenever he jumped off the ladder and the suits of samurai armor slashed him...i was adorable aha
I'd really like to see a band playing this fantastic, amazing music. I'll pay anything to see that!! Mystical Ninja's music is the best in my opinion for any game for N64.
whoa, im really not the only one that despises that fuck hole of a temple. nice to know im not alone in hating that hour and a half long temple just for a shit easy boss ^^
I hated this castle too, it was so confusing, but the weird thing is that loads of people say that this is the easy one and ghost toys castle is hard, but for me it is the other way round
Thank you so much for posting all these. "Warning: brings back memories" is right. I loved these games, and the music was definitely one of their strongest parts. Man, now I want to play some Goemon...
I remember not wanting to leave Akiyoshidai's awesome music, thinking it would be a long, boring trudge through a music-less cave. I was pleasantly surprised.
I remember spending so much time trying to get on to that platform with sasuke's secret move on there. Its so cruel how you can get so close without the high jump
Oh yeah...it was not only hard enough trying to find my way around this dungeon, trying to even FIND the dungeon was what nearly drove me insane. But then again, it gave me opportunities to find other quests to do in the game. This castle was an interestingly fun dungeon though.

This piece has a lot of memories for me because I had a hard time with this level when I was a child.
