Oh, thank you for pointing out the fact that we are all different--that never occurred to me. And yes, some people think it's funny when an elderly woman slips on a banana peel, but I am not one of them.  I am just a long-time Star Trek fan who expects some genuine intelligence and creativity in a parody of a show that's been parodied endlessly for over thirty years...

No need for thanking me, just stating facts. I too was/am a fan of the show, but I am not limited to confined parameters when it comes to comedy. It doesn't have to be intelligent comedy to make me laugh: in fact quite a lot of the most stupid and insipid trash out there usually makes me laugh. And believe me when I say that I have searched for many content out there which is spoofing Star Trek and most of it wasn't at all funny; this at least had made me laugh.

I agree with you that something need not be intelligently conceived to be funny. Most humor is probably what might be termed "low-brow" and I have laughed myself to tears over some very stupid comedy many times.  I don't begrudge you the pleasure you derived from this particular parody, but it just left me with a blank stare on my face, and I am pretty easy to please when it comes to this sort of material. Maybe I am getting too jaded...

Hey, it's nobody's business trying to insult people for finding something funny. Once upon a time there was a joke- 8 out of 10 people laughed, the other 2 just moved on to the next joke instead of acting like morons trying to explain through insults that what the 8 laughed at was stupid.
