Starship Troopers (1996) the movie was made based on a book by Robert Heinlein of the same name written in 1959. Loosely based i might add, because much of Heinlein's work although expressed in Science fiction was very political -social oriented.

Starcraft (1997-98) seems heavily influenced by all kinds of modern sci-fi everything from Robocop (goliaths) to the Alien series (direct qoutes in the game from the movies). Those are all the genre i love anyway .

Did you watch movie Starship Troopers. Its kinda like starcraft. Great movie. I would love to see something like that but in place of bugs there could be zergs.

I mean in that movie you could say there was zerglings, ultralisks, mutalisk, drones... and there was a "Brain Bug" that kinda remains me of that mission in starcraft where you have to kill with dark templar those 3 zerg (what was the name) those 3 zerg "brains" aaaa i cant remember the name.

lol yeah, i agree Starship Troopers is basically a TvZ movie xD. The warrior bugs even kinda look like zerglings lol. And the brain bugs definitely look like the zerg overmind. lol in the cartoon series the humans even use battlecruisers, transport ships, goliaths, and wraiths xD. and they also have "special ops psychics" like ghosts :P
