Actually, the situation is getting better. Prime Minister Berlusconi held a recent press conference, I believe on the 18th of July, stating that Naples was "clean". Unfortunately that is a significant overstatement.
There are still large piles of garbage on the streets and fires do still occur. In many places, however, the large piles have been cleared away and dumpsters are beginning to take their place.
Nothing new, anti-italian propaganda by the fucking americans.
Anyway, after 3 years, now Naples is a decent place.
