I think that the false rapture theory is making people feel false security so they don't care about the end or the truth in the bible, because they assume that they'll fly off and avoid it all. God said He will never leave us nor forsake us...but He also promised us tribulation (see John 16:33). Many Christians have been and continue to be martyred, including the apostles.
The 2 statements can be reconciled. Wherever we go, whatever we do, He is with us and He is our strength.

Forpeaceable: Noah was not taken from the earth, when the flood came to destroy the wicked. It was the wicked who were taken away with the flood. Noah was kept in safety on the earth, how be it..floating in an ark.
@ASeedSower234 Noah was above the earth. The reason he wasn't taken out, was that God's plan for humans was not completed yet. If they were taken out the earth, u and i wouldn't be here today. Same thing when Jesus prayed that God wouldn't take the disciples out of the world. Just because one can't understand something, don't mean that it's wrong. One has to ask God to open their understanding on that subject. People thing they know all by themselves, that's why God just let them. Acts 2:38.

Acts 2:42, Ephesians 2:20, tells us to follow the apostles. Acts 2:38 is still God's plan of salvation. This is the way the church got started.
@forpeaceable, God will forsake us just like He forsook Christ. The tribulation is to wake the church up, punish Israel for their unbelief, and punish the evil doers for their sins. The Bible says that tribulation is like refining gold.
Mr. Perry, in your timeline, where is "thief in the night?" If this is in the timeline, does this not mean the advent is pre-trib?
