First of all it is not echo but reverb. Second I think is perfect for the music, making it somewhat surreal and majestic. If someone likes purist and more austere recordings, go ahead and record yourself that way, but do not tell such a wonderful player as Elizabeth how to do it!!!

Thanks for posting these lute videos. The playing is very well done – clean and expressive, but the huge echo is off-putting. I suggest for future clips you use the natural ambience of the room, wherever you are taping it, so the sound matches what the viewer is seeing. Please do continue to post!
