  • For your information - the guy in the last accident died.

  • and the moral of the story.... windsurfing is so much better

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA i actually couldn't stop laughing. And if i had of needed the toilet i would have peed myself XD

    hilarious!!

  • if that was me at 1:50 , don't stand under me because I'm shitting my pants

  • @NoobPeriod ewww you smell like poo then farty booger face :P

  • @NoobPeriod hahahah word.

  • I couldn`t watch it ,it made me sick.Maybe they just post it that we have more place on the water ...but scaring the wrong people ......it is a wonderful sport and the kites , the release systems everything is better now.....ok still leave the idiot in the harness....but they are everywhere

  • just down at the beach watching this saying hell yeah im getting into this!..glad i watched this shit cause now i'm not!!

  • Thx for the idiots in the video, which make such a bad picture on kite surfing, normal people think then its uncontrollable^^.In the video are really extrem condtions, where its safer to stand at home;-)

  • Stupidity in its finest. Or finest of the stupid. Funny somehow. =)

  • omg 1:33 aha fuck yeah! so jealous!

  • I hope the guy at 1:46 is religious because it looks like hes going to see jesus soon!

  • @Alexandermerlo94 yueh nigguh get your ass somme mummas cookin, nigguh

  • I am about to start kitesurfing lessons.. so what do you do when you get dragged up so high (1.33)? I mean if you detach the kite you fall down so high you probably die?

  • haha videos like this always make me laugh, all the kites here are like 8 years old no depower no flex in the conopy when gusts come through total C kite power! if your think of lerning lern for sure new kites are very very safe.. however always lern on onshore/crossshore conditions.. wind is genrally alot smoother.. safe riding

  • @rleer23 = not everyone,no,yes it helps,.,but you have to lanch the right size of kite in order to have control,if the wind is for a 7 meter kite and you lanch a 12 you will crash, because the depower by letting the bar is limited not 100%,to completly depower you must push off the safety in chicken loop, also dont learn with on or off shore winds and gusty winds because you will might end up in rocks or to far away in the ocean, always take lessons ,dont do fast moves and dont panic

  • 0:38 it is why you should wear a helmet....

  • well, i guess these ppl forgot about the emergency cut lines...

  • @Alexandermerlo94 kid, ure as white as it gets why do u talk like that?

  • yeah stop being such a buzzkill on kite surfing.

  • dammit..i'm scary now..was thinking on start classes this week

  • press key 9 repeatly, looks like jumping

    hahahahhahaha

  • lol 0:28

  • 1:33 WTF?! He took 30m2 kite to a 40 knot wind or what?

  • Oh my gosh! At all the people like japalms or other who think kitesurfing is crazy or even just dangerous as shit because of the video....

I just want to say that its not more or less extreme than other thrill sports are!

What you see in this video for example on 0.44 wouldnt have happend if the kiteboarder used the Quickrealese...

So Please stop talking like that

  • YO THIS SHIT IS CRAZY hahaha

  • elBatako I'm with you ! Nothing more funny than humans making fools of themselves.

  • LOL You should always let go of the boom if something goes wrong.

They won't let go, thats why these things happen. Stupid...

  • @iPhoneClearly

Easier said than done. You couldn't hold that power by holding on. They're hooked in. :)

  • @RedSkyHorizon well when he lets go of the bar the the kite goes automaticalle to 12 o'clock -> no power. So the main problem is that they dont let go and pull the bar to themselfes and power up the kite. And noone used quickrelease

  • @iPhoneClearly Never flow a tube kite? You're hooked in so even when you release the boom the kite still can have immensive power and pull you in the air. It's about the settings they're overpowered (most of them)

  • why do I find this extremely hilarious?

    lol!

  • Ahhahaha, that was fucking hilarious. I don't mind paying the taxes for the medical bills as long as they keep filming it. Keep up the good work nutters.

  • And the moral of the story is don't go kitesurfing in hurricanes (that's just plain f'ing stupid!) or when there are thunderstorms about and don't go pulling stupid jumps close to hard objects (i.e. rocks) - all of these accidents are footage of extreme circumstances where the cause is obviously the idiot in the harness...

  • @japalms But fun as hell man...lol

  • dumbest sport ever invented how to kill yourself using a kite

  • @liecron why watch?

  • haha i like how he went for the dive in the end (1st clip)

  • So this sport is basically attaching yourself to an airplane that nobody's flying. What could go wrong?

  • @MrGalt not at all bro

  • @MrGalt dude this video is like people who ski in avalanches.. there is no such things in kitesurfing if you follow the rules .

  • i cant stop laughing! hahahah!

  • I think today with new systems kitsurfing isnt so dangerous like a few years ago

  • The guy torpedoing down the street has put me off ;)

  • idiots dont respect rules, thats why they get accidents... this is my fifth season and i never had anyproblems like this guys and i do similar stuff

  • why doesn't someone come up with a quick release for those harnesses?

  • @YuTubeWeTube yer just imagine releasing yourself when your 50 foot up,cool

  • @YuTubeWeTube there is

  • to jest kurwa chore !! To jest kurwa sport !! iiiihhhhaaaaa życ krotko ale porzadnie !! :)

  • I'll pass on this, thanks

  • It's a warning for all of us. Don't hold you grip tight all the way.

  • 1:43....impressive!!!

  • some try it out in backyard break neck and live in wheelchair rest of live, some kill themselves after 2 years sitting drewling all day in wheelchair.

  • shit music

  • Omg I thought skysurfer would never come down!

  • and this my friends is why we stay away from Rocks, well Objects lol and use a Side blowing wind

  • All these accidents are pretty much from retarded kitesurfers.

I am saying this cause kitesurfing has 3 safety systems 1. release the bar to depower the kite 2. release the chickenloop to completely depower the kite (in case of most kites) 3. RELEASE your leash to AVOID CRASHING INTO WIRES, BUILDINGS and whatnot. The leash will cut loose the kite from your body so you might destroy or lose your kite but you will not be harmed :S so take some lessons retards!

  • @dikkerapperthijs some people just don't get it, no matter how many lessons will take. I know someone who never respected the danger part of this sport. Till on day he hit himself so bad he is lucky now he can walk (he stopped kiteboarding luckfully for him). I kite 4 years summer/winter never had a problem. A very often mistake everyone does on a fall is to continue pulling the bar and on these vids it's very obvious.

  • @dikkerapperthijs

one of these kitesurfers died, although I agree with you you should show some respect.

  • @dikkerapperthijs

one of these kitesurfers died, although I agree with you I think you should show some respect.

  • @satsun0

I don't think that they deserved to die or anything like that, but I cannot show respect to people who willfully put themselves and also others in this kind of danger without honouring the sport by knowing what you must do in these sort of dangerous situations and when not to practice this sport. It's like putting the blame on the sport if I would and that is not what's at fault here.

I do truly pity the fact that people die because of this, it does a lot of unnecessary harm.

  • My kite went way too high got hooked on the wing of a jet plane ended up at Kennedy airport from montery

  • I have been in a couple of kite surfing accidents.the first time was electrocuted when the wind pushed me for 5 miles into some electric wires my right arm is partially paralyzed. And most recently I shattered my knee and broke my neck when I ran into a building .I am now ready for wheelchair kitesurfing

  • Didn't realize a strong gush of wind can carry you up like that.

  • @assmonkeyification it's also how the kite behaves. the wind cannot lift you up that high or drag you that strong , unless you got your self in a weather storm. Most common mistake people do on kiteboarding is to keep pulling the bar while they fall and that makes the kite react even worse.

  • ya bro he was sky surfing but it didnt look like he was attached to any tihing.. he travelled to far

  • @Foshizzlerriffic he seems to be unhooked. Going so high can only happen if you are in a place where the wind current is warm and it goes up. he did good in my opinion (looks like he landed well) you don't know how high you are from the ground and from the looks of it, i think he is trying to hook him self again

  • That guy at 1:50 got "Big Air". That's what you like to see.

  • LOL looks like fun

  • I sort glass!

  • ужс какоой

  • 1:50 Never again, Never again , Never again.

  • it would really help /watch?v=8otdrWGzNnY

  • This is why I went to Skimboarding.

  • oh that's so frightening

  • Oh hey, idiots.

    Cool.

  • 12 people are not video's

  • 2:07-2:08 anyone else think he exploded for a sec

  • @japalms Knowing as soon as you lose control or wind you probably lose your life...

  • löl_ÃNÿ_gÙýs_wÄÑt_tO_chât_wïth_mÈ

  • hollyy fuckkkkkk damn it sucks

  • Its the same with just about any activity, you take your eyes off the wheel for one sec and you can get into a car crash, this guys made a lot of mistakes, most of all, they are not releasing they're safety'. I guess its the "ego" but what's more important, you or your kite? Its no reason to not try it. This are flukes of nature.

Pick up a kite today, you wont regret it.

  • great, thanks for scaring the shit out of a beginner...

  • @0611930024838 hahahaha. Im going kite surfing for the first time in about 23 minutes. Nothing like watching this shit to pump you up before hand lol.

  • Comment removed

  • @deadlettercircus1its not so bad, i already went 3 times since this video (my house is next to a kiteboarding beach) and i only needed 3h before i got on the board, the last time i went i did it perfectly up and downwind ;)

the problem are those C kites, u are really screwed if it goes all wrong....

  • @0611930024838

    stop seaching for it?

    peace, loser :)

  • @malledkalle nice reply, it was meant to be humorous, not all people in youtube are trolls... and i didn't search for this, i was watching something else and this came up as recommended... is it ok to see what i was getting myself into? plus, I'm no longer a beginner

    peace, looser :P

  • @0611930024838 same shit here :DDDD

  • @0611930024838 Exactly man i just got my whole set ready for the first time and i looked to see for accident just to get a scenario of what to come if i fail. and this is freaky!!!!! Omg

  • @0611930024838 word.

  • Damn. Terrifying. I got dragged across a field at 20 miles an hour by an eight foot rigid wing back in the early 1990s and learned my lesson that high winds even a small kite can take you farther than you want. The bigger kites you just gotta be careful and watch the conditions and be smart!

  • Dont surf near rocks. Check

    Dont surf in tornadoes. Check

Get a proper size wing. Check

    Sharks on the beach. Check

Dont surf near the edge of the water. Check

    And we're off

  • how powerful would a quite be if you buil one that was several miles in length. in theory could you build one that large that could fly? i think it might be possible. I think advancments in kite technology might be the way forward. it might be possible to get kites into the jetstream

  • @210482fmj why stop at building a kite several miles long when the world has so many silk e-caterpillars? why not go for one terrabyte of kite length? That would beat all of the gigastreams out there, hands down. You could probably get some real air and rip the face off of some jackass if you dropped him off of a helicopter in the middle of the grand canyon. Even if it was a wind-free day, they'd probably get at least a few seconds of air and they'd still be up about a mile off of the ground.

  • @210482fmj

take a look a the Beluga skysails project. Impressive.

  • thumbs up if the guy who crashed on the rocks doesnt have skin left on his back anymore :)

  • thumbs up if the guy who crashed on the rocks doesnt have skin left on his back anymore :)

  • I say, you have to be careless or stupid to get badly hurt from kiting. Everytime you fly in heavy wind, you are taking a chance, no matter how good you are you might get overpowered, even if you are a champion, you can't predict gusts, which in very heavy winds might make you lose control.

  • wow, two guys died.

  • WTF!!

It looks like a paraglinder and not a kitesurfing

    LOL

  • 1:59 He's DEAD MEAT!

  • e o eject?!

  • 1:45 it loks like fake!!!

  • @spongebob10460 It's real! Trust me.

  • 1:45 it loks like fake!!!

  • Dit gaat er wel heel hard aan toe...

  • this may seem like a silly question, but i know nothing about the sport... Why can't they just let go of the kite before they get pulled?

  • @MsAmber626 They can let go of the bar

  • @Jay6029 and they just don't?

  • @MsAmber626 They are attached directly to the kite with a harness around the waist. You can see very clear in the first video clip. Some surfers ride 'un-hooked' to better do tricks and spins, then they only attached to the kite via a small line to prevent the kite from flying away.

  • @cnphch Thanks! Sorry.. It was a pretty stupid question..

  • holy shit!! shits crazy!!!

  • watch watch?v=YNoh3Xi8pvs

  • ownag

  • why can't they just release the kite before they get dragged into the air?

  • ow !

  • i have a flexifoil blade 4, 4.9m, i have learned how to jump good on it, jus wondering if water is bad for it? i know u cant pack it up wet, but can i surf with it? or do i need a diff kite? plz get back to me on this 1, many thanks and much respect to whoever can help me out.

  • YOU MUST RESPECT THE WIND FOOL

  • The more stupid they are, the fewer the protection precautions, ... ,

Kitesurfers migth also ruin it for the other kiting disciplines, .., In belgium they are setting up restrictive legislations because some dudes got themselves killed in 2010. ( possible max 23 knot wind limit, and limits on the locations)

untill end of 2010 there were no restrictions, ... , I hope it does not fly over to Kitebuggy or MTB

  • Most of these accidents happened because of stupid thinking; like using a way to large kite in such strong winds. Try not to push limits while kiting, just enjoy the sport as it is or it might just end up bad!

  • It seems like these riders were practicing in some extreme conditions! of course, stuff like this is bound to happen, if you know your basics and safe practices well you'll have a great time for sure!.

  • last video was unfortunate, wrong dirrection of the wind i suppose and trying doing a jumb in front of the beach comes up to that result. Anyone who knows how to surf and knows the direction of the wind has no injuries like that.

  • 1:45 ... holy F@!*. holy F!@#ing S!@#! ive seen similar on snowkiting... a guy basically parachoots using his kite off the top of a 100m cliff. scary stuff...

  • sup

  • stpid guys: it looked like half of them were shot from cannons and also that guy high up in the sya, who does he think he is? zeus? rofl!!!

  • @3002nikhil thermal air, in some part in the world there's a "canal" of wind where it keeps you in the air and mostly lifting you high till you pass it. I saw the original vid and it looks in the first part that this guy was holding his kite unhooked, he didn't realise after the jumb on what direction he was (heading the beach) and what how high so in that case you dont let go. I would have shit my pants if i was him lawlz

  • Lots of budys whent to Kiting and got hurt BAD ( I'll stik to windsurfing thank you very much, more fun to..Yes, it is harder, but more fun..

  • @ArubaSailing you should try it. i kite 3 years no injuries so far, except those where you can also get at windsurfing. Kite isn't for dummies for sure, you must be more cautious.

  • O M F GOD

  • hehehe it hurts. even though a well trained kite surfer do have accidents sometime.

thats why its called accidents. cause you don't expect it to happen.

  • cant you "unclick" yourself from the kite?

  • I dunno about anyone else but this video had me in tears... from laughing my ass off

  • poor guys ...i hope they survived these accidents ..

  • DUDE... Why not wear like... Motorcycle gear or something...

  • Human vs Concrete who do you think won? lol

  • Near the end I laughed my ass off when that guy got pulled up for that long in the air.

  • why dont they just pull the quick release ????

damm that thing is there for a reason..

my teacher told me once, never ride in crazy weather, and if u´re unsure if the wind is too strong do this small test, raise the kite, with it at 12 hours pull the bar to ya, if it raises you, lower the kite and wait for the wind to calm down.

Good advice or bad one ?

  • i'm a kiteboarder too and i dont let this stop me!!! its worth the risk, you just have to be careful and know what to do in emergencies

  • omg i that is fucken scary!!!! i kite surf but that is scary. foe h=those that say u need lessons, you dont really. i have NEVER had a lesson andhave beed kite surfing for 3 and 1/2 years with out one accident. so ya. but that is scary

  • that one at the end was flying like a bullet lol

  • FUNNY

  • 1:45 Skysurfing

  • SCARY FOR SURE!

  • that would be so fun9+

  • @surfer1004life what the hell is with the 9+?

  • Awesome vid! Keep it up

  • -Its a dangerous sport, you have to be carefull about microdrafts .Steady wind up to 30 is ok but you still have to be carefull.

  • Holy shit 1:50 let go up there and say goodbye to life my friend.

  • @MrMasterUploader You're so right!

  • Looks incredibly fun but yes- incredibly risky. You are at the mercy of the wind, baby,

There's gotta be a release button on the harness if you need it, yes?

  • @paulski5 most bars have a safety feature to depower your kite

  • lol screw this. that is the most retarded "sport" ive ever seen. take a parachute with you next time.

  • jesus, im bidding on a kite surfing kit on ebay because ive always wanted to do it. im kind of scared now!

  • Comment removed

  • That last one didn't look good at all.

  • Oh that's Gotta Hurt Right !!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway go check out "Graham's BoardSports Adventure in China" I filmed this doco in 2006. Go to Youtube channel GrahamTVdotNet. You might like this, if not. No Worries !

  • and instead of putting the brakes on, they floor their car like some old lady into a brick wall. These guys are idiots and make the sport look way more dangerous.

Kiteboarder for 5 years, pull massive airs and tricks with only minimal injuries. A few close calls, but I kept my quick thinking and training in place and never got seriously hurt. I also try and go big, any injury I have gotten is because I already have bad knees and back etc. I have never or will never be launched unintentionaly/

  • All of these incidents could easily have been avoided . They ALL had the bar pulled in fully thus powering up there kites. In this sport, most noobs feel they need to hold onto the bar when shit goes wrong. This is completely wrong, you should let the bar out and release your primary safety. Your kite will INSTANTLY depower if it's a modern kite and you will be safe in ANY situation. These guys holding the bar in and getting launched is the equivalent of your everyday driver having a close call

  • s*it that guy who went like 25 meters or more in the air he never came down that must have been scary im a kitesurfer but iv only been like 2meters high with the kite LOL

  • I would buy this ragdoll game.

  • januuuuuus if you a real kiteboarder you know your limiys but you wanna move them always forward....otherwise stay on the sofa watching a movie!

  • @bomberg73 Its an extreme sport.. People will always push there limits.. And once you've acheived a certain level, lessons arnt gonna help you nail mean tricks in high winds..

For kicks do kite surfing on land! See my videos!

  • @Januuuus Its an extreme sport.. People will always push there limits.. And once you've acheived a certain level, lessons arnt gonna help you nail mean tricks in high winds..

For kicks do kite surfing on land! See my videos!

  • omf!

  • fffffaaaaaaaaaarrkn aye crazy shit lol

  • Hey. Some good footage there. I'm a kite surfer so experience a few fair shares of incidents.

Just wanted to know if that guys eye was ok at 1.27 and if the person at 2.20 was alright

  • Crazy as fuck!

  • some of theses dudes Cant have lived after

  • кровь в жилах стынет. почему не отстреливались ?

  • The guy on TLC was kind of asking for it, you should never kite near rocks its just a dumb idea.
