  • Awesome!

  • I'm scared to ask how much that drum kit was

  • Awesome!

  • Verrry nice keep it up

  • Nice finish. If I knew how to play the drums I'd probably never leave the house.

  • U fuckin rock!

  • great performance dude. i could have done without the video effects though :-)

  • dude, that was GREAT!

  • Very nice cover...you have great natural feel. I liked the solo as well. Makes me want to go back to Pinstripes...they sound nice.

  • 3:43 nice touch! flipping the snares back on just like neil

  • Great Playing nice kit, tricky piece to learn. 5:32 onwards ....superb!!

  • Great mini-solo at the end too. ; )

  • Excellent audio, usually drum covers are noisy but not this one. Very well played as well.

  • nice work!!

  • Kick ass! You've got style bro!

  • That drum solo/cover was freaking sick, nice job, really......that was money! no pun intented !

  • yeah, well done :)

  • cuanta "sabrosez"!!!!!

  • A bit calculated since ...essentially you are doing a cover....darn good, nonetheles.....perhaps, in production, neil received a bit of a punch and i'm being biased in my overall evaluaion

  • Yo, dude........ word.

  • Hey Dude, Excellent job on the drums!!! I thought this was the actual song lol, till i seen U play. Power Windows is my fav album by Rush...Love every song!

  • anyone know how to make some bigmoney real fast???? No idea is stupid...

  • great drumming!! now go do some carl palmer and some buddy rich after that --u nail all 3 of them and youre a god

  • excelent version but i think that need more power

  • I am the biggest Rush fan on here, great job.

  • Damn dude. I'm speechless

  • Your playings swell.

  • luvly

  • Where do I start~

Dynamics tight, accents, pretty tight...Actual notes on the cowbells are incorrect though, crescendo...

LOVE the finish where you go off a little.

TOUGH song to play, and in all honesty, you nail it.

I should know, I am in a RUSH tribute band, and this is our opener.

What people do not get is that a lot of drummers can play Neil. A LOT of them think they ARE Neil.

None of us can create what Neil has played through the years on our own. We can only replicate him.

  • Damn, he even has all the effects sampled. Tight!

  • You got some skillz dude

  • this is not just good, it is Great. Liked the ending too

  • Man, dude you are very talented. It took me 28 years of playing Rush to finally get it right LOL! I've been playing on and off for 43 years so Bravo and keep practicing. BTW nice kit and what Roland series are the three pads?

  • good job

  • Is that the rock version or the regular version of your xs20 ride?

  • When you get up and personal with what the drums are doing, you can really see what a great fkin drummer Neil is to come up with it, its unreal in some cases of how experimental he is.

  • nice what kind of kit do you have?

  • Jeez.... I wish I had that drum set, it would be so awesome for me and my uncle for that matter. Your great.

  • Again...phenomenal.

  • And boom goes the dynamite...well played!!

  • got the goose bumps

  • nice kit. how much did it cost?

  • this is excellent.. and you also have the electric drums... I'd love to have that drum kit

  • EXCELLENT SIR

  • dude, all i saw was the sky turning black, the skin palin i swear, eh

  • who has a refined hearing, knows that there were small errors, however I applaud the good effort to play one of the songs of Peart but elaborated and creative, me when I look at this class of videos trying to emulate the notes and work of Peart I continue admiring to so precise and creative drummer that had the music's history, forever Peart.

  • Good job dude.

  • yeah, really good job - your kit sounds great!

  • u r damn right jrathje12

  • rush = greatest overall skilled band in the world ever and u nailed this nice

  • I am huge Neil fan....wow, man u nailed it!!!

  • I was among the guiltiest of hardcore young drumline-elitist Neilphytes about duplicating his every nuance back in the 80s-early 90s. Except for the MTV vids, we learned them by countless hours of excessive anal-retentive listening...TO LPs and CASSETTES.:-)

Very well done, sir. The elperc effects are a nice touch. Only Neil is Neil. We can copy him...almost perfectly in rare cases, but HE CREATED THE PART. Excellent performance of his work.

  • This song isn't too bad on guitar...

    Nicely done!

  • Well done! A good rendition of a surprisingly difficult song.

  • All I can say is Awesome!!!!!!!

  • すげ~上手い!完璧!perfect!

  • this was awesome. but just one question, how come up to 4:18 your drumset was black then when 4:18 came it was red?

  • Uhhh... you're kidding right?? Part of it is B&W and then it switches to color. Thought it was a nice tough, and not too over-the-top. Nice multi-cam editing too by the way.

  • good job...

Are those the birch Mapex's? If so how would you rate them compared to tama, yamaha, etc...

  • Awesome! I hope to get another kit like that someday so I can do the same!

  • those are nice cymbals, i have the same ones!

  • Keep it up man, you make it seem so easy. I love NP.

  • fucking amazing~

  • ALRIGHT...hands down from a fellow Rush fan...very well done...respect dude...

  • Buddy Rich would be proud...excellent

  • awesome vid. i remembered seeign an awesome version on drums of big money and it was definately yours. perfect job

  • Nice work. Like the added solo at the end!

  • nice job... The Big money has to be in my top three for Rush songs

  • Amazing, I might have to learn that song again it's been years since I heard it. I remember learning that song as best I could when I was like 10, I just didn't have eletronic's and percussion to really make it complete like I do now. Anyways great playing bro! you got the Neil Peart award in my book!

  • Nice drum arsenal !!! 8.9 on the Richter Scale. Totally inspirational. Great playing !!! Awesome !!!

  • man id like to have thoughs triger pads on my set.

    Awsome playing! RUSH RULES!

  • i can tell where you turn the snares back on, but at what point did you turn them off? (or if you just edited that part out) anyways, great job! one of my favorites to play along to!

  • Thank you. Would you change your mapex for a DW??

  • I would for a top line yamaha or gretch.. not really into DW.

  • too expensive?

  • it looks like they went up about sixty bucks since i bought them last year.. i shopped and shopped and couldn't pass this package up.. i paid 750 for 6piece(5 +1 free tom)all hardware included as shown on this link. The extra components are what's expensive.. i had to pay 295 for an 18 floor and 170 for an 8 inch tom just recently.

check them out at midwestpercussion dot com...best deals you'll find.. no shipping cost..no tax.

  • what type of drums do you have?

  • Mapex M-Birch, Vinnie Paul Sig snare(not in video), Yamaha DTX electronics, Sabian and Wuhan cymbals..recently replace my ride in video with a 20" Sabian Vault.

  • You crack me up big time. Seriously GREAT job. I truly love the way you really so ACCURATELY echo the awesome splendour of Neil Pert's drumming in this. F**KING AWESOME. Come to London, UK and let's form a band! :-) (And who the hell are MAPEX?)

  • A true Rush/Neil Peart fan! Great job "mein froin," especially when you turn the snare off for the cool transitional part!

  • Yeah Good Job Man! 2 thumbs up!

  • Hey man, nice job!!

    Good chops and quick hands!

You nailed everything, keep it up man!!

  • Hey shogun, where are you located? I'm a 6-string bassist/vocalist looking for a really good drummer in NJ area.

  • your druming would make neil proud. you have it to the final T and your kit sounds great.

  • GREAT JOB ! AWESOME !

  • thats great, love neil peart and thats a vid to watch, sweet sounding hats, what are they?

  • how long did it take you to master this? great stuff.

    how about some ian paice?

  • Hey Coreyagraph... thanks man... yea.. i dig Ian Paice.. in fact the band i'm currently jammin with covers 'Burn' and 'Highway Star' ..as soon as I get some footage, i'll put it up.

    Thanks,

    Jon

  • NIIIICE Shogun!

  • good job my friend!..

and needless to say, RUSH rules! :)

  • I remember first hearing that song 21 years ago , then seeing the video that winter. Great video work and the drums too are awesome !

  • excellent man, beginning was awesome

  • haha babb

  • Being a true Rush fan and someone that has seen them many times starting in the 70's...I gotta tell ya...I've never seen anyone do it even close till now.

  • Dude, this totally rocks! Your time-keeping is perfect and your management and control is phenomenal! Keep 'em coming!

  • You are amasing. I think if god forbid neil kicks the bucket you would not make a bad concideration. I bet you know all the cymbol chokes on grand designs. Great solo at the end also. Part of me hates watching someone this good, makes me want to stop playing.

  • sooo kick ass

  • Nice job man...real good...just make sure to pay attention to the hi-hat work in the beginning, you are playing it wrong.

  • Hey dude. Nice work (finally found), nice stick technique, nice song to cover. Your drum kit is very honest e sounds great. I am happy to find in You Tube drummers like you. Keep drumming.

  • Youre the man! Holy shit I can just say, I'm so damn impressed. Loved your style on those drums. You must love your new drumset, I would love it! (Btw, can see that youre drumset is somehow a copy of neils setup? True?)

  • u play very well...well..u had 22 years of practice...nice job..wat kind of mapex is it?..sounds incredible

  • Thanks man...they are the cheaper M-Birch series... with remo pinstripe heads(which i'm really fond of)..going to get some evans heads soon..

  • Way to pay attention to the smallest details. It's like breathing easy to actually find a good Neil cover- keep up the good work. Big Money = one of the most fun rush songs to play- that and Marathon! Later

  • i gotta say ive bin looking around youtube for a decent drum video for about 5 months now and im very happy cos today i found IT. the only good drum video. i loved the intro section witht the integrated electronics and samples. just like peart himself. loving it. drop me some words when you get another video up, dude.

  • Fantastic. The kit sounds great! I like the way you placed your electronics. Do you have your snare gated or is it totally open and live?

  • no critismim man i am a hardcore rush and neil peart fan and that one of my faveorite song all i have to say is perfect perfect nice job!

  • great cover! and i love your drumset!

  • YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!!! note for note!

  • I'm Gabriel Pedernera, from Argentina. Congratulations man! I think you're great! Great kit! Great drummer! Bye!

  • Nice work, great to watch!

  • Will you be my father?

But seriously, you play Rush songs cleaner than anyone I have ever seen. I've also seen you play La Villa and Subdivisions on Google video and I was completely blown away. Keep up the outstanding work.

  • that was awsome! you should do a rush cover band :) hit me up if you have new videos!

  • WOW, you are great, is a shame that there is not a really play along from Rush, but you play over the CD and sounds very good.

I have a video playing Subdivitions, but is playing over a Midi secuence. Nice Intro and better Outtro.

Congratulations from another Rush Fan from Venezuela.

  • awesome , brilliant!!! you are a great drummer!!
