Hi, I'll know how we do put other ringtones on LG because I have just one on my phone and I'll like put other.... and I can not remove other ringtone because they are always saved ! can you help me please ?
hey nice video man... thanks... but i need to help. please. i do all this right... but my problem is the last in bitpim when i open ringtones a new files dont copy anything... the program tell me this, "access to the file/directory has been blocked on this phone bye the phone provider" and later i cant copy... help me please
with bitpim for some reason it didn't recognize my phone if i plugged it into my front usb but when i plugged it into my back it worked perfectly. thank you so much
i made that comment before watchin it all the way thru, this vid is helpful as fucc. WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT YOUTUBE AND SMART GUYS LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video, but I still have problems,I clicked 10889 folder and made a ringtone folder, then I put my custom ringtone in it, but it does not show up in my phone. Is it because it's a bell phone?
hey i had the same problem you got go brewed ,shared, ring all is the same after that this dude rocks, i've looked at a lot of videos this helped huge thanks dude
BLAH! When I get to BitPim, I don't have a CDMA USB Serial Port! I'm with telus, so it didn't come with any drivers I guess. Can somebody help me out?
YES it worked thanks so much! For some reason on my phone though the ringtone file wasn't in the 10889 thing but in another file. Still worked though!
I think you did a great job "explaining" it correctly and was very helpful, although I would suggest getting screen recording program to record rather than a camcorder.
Ok, I have a voyager, the cable... but Telus didn't give me the drivers... T_T I wanted to know if it can be downloaded from a site or w/e or if I have to contact them and say that I want the drivers...
I can add files to my phone and they show up in the ringtones folder in bitpim, but they aren't in my My Ringtones folder after rebooting, just the default ringtones?
omg dude thank you so much..i got my phone about 2 weeks ago now, and u have no idea how hard ive been trying to find out how to create ringtones and add them..i just couldnt get em on my phone. this worked first try! i appreciate this so much bro. 5 stars keep posting! take care
Wow it worked, first time. Thanks a lot kid I was trying so hard how to do this. The quality of the audio is pretty decent too. Just a note, tell people when they connect the USB to set the sync mode to 'data' and leave it like that. I was under the impression you had to go into tools and set it as 'mass storage device'.
Hi there, so i totally saw your video and i thought it'd be super easy cause you explained it so well and when i tried to install the bitpim, some error came up :[ any suggestions?
Great Video, I came across a site that helps get your videos exposed. They helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first page. If you need any help check them out at tubeviews.(net)
I have a problem. When I go on BitPim, and click settings, I can find the phone (LG Voyager), but then when you say to browse ports, I can't find the port you ask to select, anywhere. It doesn't even exist in my unusable ports!. My only Available Port is my ThinkPad Modem, but that's it. Please help me, as I really do want Mr. Crowly as my ringtone for my new phone
Make sure you installed the drivers CD that came with the phone, and if you can't find the name of the phone, just look for the model number, which is LG VX10000 for the Voyager
I found the model, the com port is the problem. I have installed the driver to my computer, but I still cannot find the correct port. Any other suggestions?
Honestly, I have no clue; sorry. All I could tell you is make sure you installed the software correctly, and try maybe restarting your computer. Thats all I could tell you, sorry

When I go into the 10889 file I have no option that says ringtones.
Vikki1331 2 years ago
look on some of the other files and try and fine a ringone folder
rscp1050 2 years ago
Thank you! It worked. And for telus users, I figured out how to do this successfully without the drivers, so just ask.

Actually, you don't have to set the sync mode to anything. I just plug it in then sync. I don't hit music or data.

hey there. GREAT video
BUT when i click 10889 it doesn't have a plus beside it? So it doesn't show any ringtones?
urbanlegend92 2 years ago
Instead of locating 10889 on the mod menu, try locating ringtones. If their not there, you'll just have to do a little searching on your phone.
rscp1050 2 years ago
hey man you were right. i got it, i just located the ringtones folder in the whole phone and found it in the shared folder.
thanks brother

Hey, quick question, does it matter how long the song is? Is there a cap for the tones (30 seconds or something?)
Thanks.

There is, but I don't know what it is. I try to keep mine around 30 seconds.
