cant stand to hear bernard sing, cant stick new order, joy division will never be replaced, respect to them for being part of joy division, but sadly without Ian.... fancy shouting COME ON on the microphone to such a song, just stupid and insensitive to such a great song,....
Ian should be named in the history books, those worth to read. You guys, I don't care if you made the track or what so ever, but now you know why Ian is an genius..

Seriously, this is garbage. New Order, your own songs are good, but please stop playing Joy Divison tracks live. Please don't be that disrespectfull to Ian. Sumner and Hook totally suck on this.
having just watched this i think he may have shouted come on! because the emotion built up. curtis never got to witness a great musical event like glastonbury.
Barney, my friend, please if you want to sing JD songs at least learn the words! Come on, he doesn't even remember some lyrics from Love will tear us apart!!!
also the style of how it is played is different to the original joy division one new order play it in their style and dont try to make it exactly the same as when they did it as joy division
even if it is a new band, Ian wrote the lyrics, but Bernard usually wrote the music so while i'm not sure about specific songs there is a good chance Bernard wrote the music.
Cover, that is the stupidist thing I've heard, from a poetic view this was the beginning of new order, everyone is born and dies, Ian was here and served a purpose, but to say that this is a cover...geez, "please have your head examined", "cover" I bet you wouldn't say that to hook's face..
yeah it's a bit of a cover is it a not? and amazingly they do it so much worse than under the banner of joy division, i guess thats what happens when your left with the ball lickers of any original band
@PoorOldBen85 personally I do. The same people who wrote the music in JD wrote it in NO. Changing a cosmetic feature like the name doesn't make it a new band.
I agree with Hannah, in no way is this a cover. These are the people who recorded these songs in the 1st place, I'd much rather hear them than some other band doing JD covers.
Not a cover , how come?

If Ian had lived and, one of the others died and then went on to form new order, would it be considered a cover then?

Trying to dance to this in six inches of liquid mud was hard, but achieved.

Ian Curtis wrote lyrics AND music in both Joy Division albums. I still have both albums in my room, it says clear as day on the inside cover.

They all wrote the song, Bernard was NOT the sole composer and I believe Ian Curtis actually came up with the riff for Love will Tear us Apart.

I just thought this version was crap, compared to other live version by New Order. Hence joking about Fallout Boy (and being pissed) you cunt.

good joke.

I was there for this and it was ace. You probably shouldn't comment on performances you didn't see, or make rubbish jokes

its also not a cover either seen as bernard wrote the music bernard also sings it in his own style which is good
ccoleeds 3 years ago 2
bernard composed all the music on joy divisions songs ian would right the lyrics to each song once bernard had given hime the music

That's assuming one considers Joy Division and New Order to be the same band. Personally I don't.

exactly. only thing is that Bernard hasn't got Ian's voice but I can live with it:)

exactly!!

it's not really a cover...since they were just as much a part of JD as Ian was, so it's their songs too.
They are the only band who can do it justice.
