the blanket she ends up with has a pattern . the way she show us does not include the patterning and is not going to make the blanket that she ends up with. BEWARE you will not end up with what she has . you will end up with a plain blanket with lots of small ridges. very misleading video.
@TheQuinian did you see how the cast on was all crowded on the needle? if you were to stretch out the cast on stitches and it would be the same width as the blanket. she crowded all those stitches on the needle so the blanket would be wider than the needle.
i cast on 135 stitches then knit 6 rows then for the 7th row i knit 6 stitches the pearl 1 then i repeat knitting 1 and pearling 1 until my last 6 stitches and i knit the last 6 stitches again then for the 8th row i knit 9 stitches then repeat pearl 3 then knit 3 till my last 6 stitches and knit the last 6. i repeat rows 7 and 8 till its as long as i want it. and i knit 6 rows straight and bind off. it makes a beautiful pattern.
that blanket looks super nice. So basically you just put a ton of loops on one needle and just push them back until you have as many cast on loops needed. I'm knitting a scarf but I wanted to learn how to do really large things so I could make everything from arm warmers to sweaters.
Is this going to be a full sized blanket? I don't understand how you are supposed to make your blanket 36" long with straight needles when the needles aren't very long? PLEASE HELP!!!
Lawl, the first time I tried knitting I made the double-stitch mistake and the "scarf" I was knitting kept getting wider and wider, until finally I just stitched up the sides and made it into a bag. :P
@xXlegitestXx because it's here for everybody to watch and we don't know what's the video like before we watch it. Simple as it can be. By they way everybody is free to comment, positive or negative.
do you have to use single sided needles or can you use the double sided?

This is very misleading, the blanket they make is complicated, if someone knits a blanket in the stich you show it won't look like that.
