  • What would Metallica is gonna think about that singing group Vienna Boys Choir, doing Metallica cover song "Nothing Else Matters"?

  • Oh, do calm down you two! Both choirs have their merits and both are excellent, although they are different.

In both choirs the boys receive instruction in proper technique. No one gets used to death either, for Heaven's sake!

The Vienna boys get an excellent private school education in exchange for their singing - they attract the best from all over Austria.

Libera is all-volunteer, and just from the environs of London. Due to their reputation they attract the best in the metropolitan region.

  • @Delphicapollo " Due to their reputation they attract the best in the metropolitan region." WOW...you really dont have a clue what you are talking about. The best of the Metro area have about 50 or more other cathedral/church choirs to choose, that offer a world class education and top notch training. Libera is hype and Prizemans connection with Songs of Praise...that is about it. You should go to London and see the dozens of choirs that are lightyears better trained than Libera.

  • I want this for christmas!

    MEX:MMX

  • @atenean4life You have no idea what you're talking about. Libera isnt known hardly at all. The Vienna Boys choir is known all over the world and has been for decades.

  • Wiener Sangerknaben 500 years, Libera 20 years, who is the best ?

It's not a contest but a right recognition of the history, the history of excellence, not of the recognition of star

  • @Liberic1 Libera is mostly hype. They have the talent to be a great choir but not the leadership. Any boy in Libera who has any talent is just used to death without getting the proper instructions to be a skilled singer.

  • @1800nunyabiz They is exactly what I think, it is necessary to compare what is comparable. It is not question of competitions

  • @1800nunyabiz The Libera boys don't strike me as being 'used to death', but certainly talented singers like Tom Cully have some basic faults, in breath control and so on, that could be quite easily remedied but aren't. I'd love to see what a good classical training could have made of Cully, or of Steven Geraghty, Ben Crawley...On the other hand, Crawley's boy voice had a particular beautiful quality that might have been eradicated by a traditionalist teacher.

  • @essslj The Libera boys dont get any real training at all...thats the problem.

  • @1800nunyabiz Yes, they don't strike me as having had a good training.

  • @essslj the older boys train the little ones...thats the problem. You can watch them sing and see that they are not being properly trained as far as breath support and opening their mouths.....as well as dozens of other things. But lets just call it what it is..a money making process for some adults while the kids get jack for their effort.

  • I came.

  • i love song (L)

    i love choir (L)

  • is this for real?

  • Es alucinante este coro!!!me encantan las voces que tienen!!!

  • mmmmmmmmmmm I LUVVVVV it-they did a bang up job-again(Like i could expect anything less from these mega-talented kids and teachers)

  • : ) surprised (in a good way ^^)

  • Make a video with a Vienna boy soloist with a current Pop song. Then you will see that the video

very fast would come into the high score list of the respective category !

That would be a little Pop singer who can sing...:)

  • Actualy realy liked the song :))

  • I really like their version of the Earth Wind & Fire's song "Fantasy"

  • wow... :D ja ja

  • me encanta este coro y me siento orgullosa !pues dos de mis sobrinos estan alli, cantan hermoso!!

  • Very much out of character for these boys. Glad to see they can let their hair down a little.

  • muy buen trabajo, la verdad que son brillantes!! me encantan!

  • WOW! its like NZ artsplash! lol

  • I love metallica, and I gotta say these guys did a great job. And it's pretty cool that world famous vienna boys choir picked metallica. i'm pretty sure metallica is slightly different from their usual material...

  • When you first listen to it, your reaction is "WTF?!"... But after listening to it a few times, I think it grows on you. :)

That said, I'm still reluctant to buy the whole album.

  • l think , the group is awesome, if only exist a choir boys and girls in mexico

  • there mor famous than metallica just to let you know lol...love it, its very awesome!!!!

  • These kids rock!!!

  • I always enjoy a good choral mix of my favorite metal. Very enjoyable.

  • diction is poor (problem of many choires, most of kinder ones)

  • First of all I thought this was a rock song. It wasn't that bad. I liked the chorus.

  • It wasn't that bad. You're such an "open minded" individual, are you not?

  • dude this is metallica nothing else matters sounds weird without james singing, however i dig the effort.

  • They are famous and widely known throughout the world.

  • They're more infamous than famous for this particular album. :O

  • this is the best boys choir

  • The solo part's tolerable, but the choir as a whole is a bit weird on this song methinks... : /

  • they kick ass.. how r they not famous in canada...

  • That was kinda cool... Its weird to hear them like that though... Its kind of confusing... baffling to hear them that way.
