It is awesome that christians can enjoy heavy music and still worship our savior! Thank Jesus beacuse I just love METAL! now I can have good Metal! Praise God! Jesus Lives!
not bad for a christian band. So many of them seem so preoccupied with being "christian" there music suffers for it. This song actually seems "real" if you catch my meaning.
@TheLuotutin I think you're missing Occam's point. When he said that entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity, he meant that an explanation should explain as much as possible without adding or calling upon too much extra that is unnecessary and begs further questions. Occam's Razor is a logical tool, and doesn't have anything to do with molecules.
@Klazzt I have said it about a thousand times and I will say it again. Christianity is not a religion, as many believe. Jesus hated religion. Jesus didn't die on the cross for us to have a religion, he died on the cross for us to have a relationship with him.
@XxHusky1xAyooxX Well, Christianity is a religion. A religion is a set of beliefs and rituals with supernatural agents. You may view your religion as a person relationship with Christ, but it's still a religion just like any other with belief systems and rituals that you and your fellows are expected to believe and follow for the favor and love of your God. Also, Jesus didn't hate religion. He was a devout Jewish preacher. He did have his own ideas about religion, but it was still religious.
@XxHusky1xAyooxX Hmm. And I have to question the logic behind dying on the cross for humanity as well. God incarnated on Earth as Jesus to forgive us for Adam's sin in the Garden of Eden. However, we all know that Adam never existed to commit any sin. God incarnated to have himself executed for a sin that was committed by someone who never existed. God could have easily "forgave" humanity for their "sins" without going to such lengths and shown himself to be the Lord more convincingly.
@XxHusky1xAyooxX Doubtlessly, at the time the Biblical stories were authored, no one knew that Adam never existed, so we can expect such discrepancies and more from independent human-made concoctions like the Gospels. We know better today than the ancient desert people of the Middle East. It's a stupendous wonder that anyone still believes such obvious tripe. I attribute it to an honest lack of knowledge and a lack of a desire to truly learn about the world in which we live.
@Zarcain98926 I don't need religion when I have SCIENCE! I actually am studying biology with some physics, astronomy, and world history on the side. It's a lot of fun. Religious people have no idea what they're missing out on. Our world and our universe is full of wonder and excitement, but so many people miss out on it because their faith teaches them to fear knowledge and tells them that they know all, because all is God. Religion is an impediment to learning, unfortunately.
@Klazzt Now I could get a bit snappy, but I won´n....I´ve actually chosen biology IN ORDER to understand God´s creation more, and my awe at His ...molecular engineering :) is growing. As a geneticist I could tell you: Well, according to the gene pool analysis, there was a bunch of Adams and Eves and 7 days are symbolic. "Religious people" is a rather vague cathegory :-P Yeah, and even listening to metal does not collide with my faith obviously, as long Satanism is kept out of it.
@maykazelka I can respect your desire to learn, but why do you need the assumption of design? Molecular biology and genetics work just fine without the assumption of a god. All science works just fine without assuming any creator being involved. There's no proof of any god's existence, so why not simply be agnostic and suspend judgment until evidence of a god appears?
@Klazzt I agree that molecular biology and genetic is fine from the moment, where a multifunctional cell has come on the scene. Let us call it evolution from there on, ok, no problem with that. But the era BEFORE this is soooooooo misty, even Miller´s experiment is a failure in explaining origin of complex, information-containing molecules. I know I might be biased and over intelectual....but undirected assembly of the most primitive bacterium would take.....heck of a long time, I can tell you.
@maykazelka Miller's experiment is about 60 years old now, and we know now that Miller made some mistakes in hypothesizing early conditions on Earth. We can learn from his experiment and work even more on better understanding Earth 4.5 - 3.5 billion years ago. We know that the chemical conditions on Earth were fit for replicating molecules to form because they did form and eventually gave rise to complex life. We also don't need to assume a designer here because we know it happened at least once
@maykazelka naturally. I wouldn't call it undirected. Once you get self-replicating molecules, natural selection can take place and over a vast amount of time, those self-replicating molecules can build up complexity until it's something like a primitive bacterium. Like I said, it happens once so we don't have to infer design; if we do infer design for the origin of the first organic molecules, it answers nothings and then we have to ask what designed the molecules and got them going.
@maykazelka In the words of Occam, "entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity." A designer would be an unnecessary entity because it doesn't solve the problem at hand and just begs further questions for which no answers can be found. There is a natural explanation for the origin of the first life forms, and that natural explanation makes no allusion to a powerful being.
@Klazzt Aye,Occam´s razor is a fine sharpie thingy :) You know what, I am not taking your worldview from you; so many people thought I would give them "the answer to life and everything" through doctrines and science...did not work...this discussion will not either....All I can do with this is take away their breath by living differently. Me not behaving like a selfish blob of self-replicating molecules gave them the idea that there must be something beyond the rational ;)
@maykazelka And I know my using "religious people" is rather vague, but I still think it fits. Most people of faith don't believe their holy books to be books of symbols and stories. They take it quite literally, which is why science education and politics in America are struggling against the faithful. It's quite sad.

@TRexTurtle ya but there are some amazing groups that dont suck. im a Christian but didnt care for the music. now i listen to a lot. some good groups are hb, divinefire, theocracy, majestic vangaurd, harmony, and demon hunter.
I'm not a big fan of regular christian music, i'm not saying i dont like it, i'm just saying i'd rather listen to christian music that was composed in a different type of genre.
as a metal head who came to Christ, this is awesome. I was an angry person who found metal as an outlet. when i came to Christ it was very hard to find something that i could listen to. now my anger had turned to passion! God made music. Christian metal? That's an oxymoron. Metal isn't for pansy bible thumpers. It's brutal and hardcore not forgiving and love inspired. Real Metal: 1. Reign in Blood, Slayer 2. Addicted to Vaginal Skin, Cannibal Corpse 3. Infecting the Crypts, Suffocation 4. Gates to Hell, Obituary 5. Baptized in Blood, Death 6. Sacrificed, Napalm Death 7. Go to Hell, Megadeth 8. Eve of the Apocalypse, Malevolent Creation 9. Murder, Sepultura 10. The Secrecies of Horror, Pestilence
