  • Hi!! nice video, but I have a question.

In my alesis, the snare, increase de volume if you hit out of the center of the snare. Is it normal?

    (sorry for my english)

  • which drumsticks u using there? 5A?

  • Comment removed

  • good idea on posting the faq, answered my questions. I ordered a kit on a whim, been playing guitar and keys for 25 years, but for 420 bucks, i couldn't pass it up

  • his face at 2:20 lmao

  • wow someone with a dm6 that can play! good demo

  • great demo gonna go out and buy a set

  • Hi, i just bought one on ebay. Was wondering if its possible to swap a tom pad with another cymbal pad, making a crash ride?

  • is this kit the alesis dm6 session kit or the express kit?

  • @MrWankata yes you can

  • How loud are the pads when you hit on them? I mean the material, not the actual samples. I remember 2Box's drumit5 being pretty loud

  • @thecocreator88

i have a dm6 and i can say..its loud enough yes :( ... but its a good kit for the price...

  • @MrSonnyWorld, it depends on your budget butfor beginners i recommend the alesis

  • outstanding chops BTW. Timing is spo on. thanks for a great demo vid

  • he just made up my mind also. Going to click add-to-cart right now

  • I buy this drum yesterday, is the best drum of the world xD

  • i have one question about this kit ... i am getting it soon and i would really like to know if i can listen to what i am playing with only have wear headphones ... or the only way is an amplifier?? ( Sorry for my bad english , i am from greece and i am not good at english) =) tnx.!

  • @KleoNvm

yeah you can use headphones on this set.

  • @justinj2 tnx a lot my friend :)

  • Awesome dude!! I really wanna get a drum kit and after watching your video, I've decided that I'm gonna get THIS kit. Thanks for totally making up my mind :)

  • I am debating between getting the Alesis DM6 or the Yamaha DTX500K, any ideas?

  • @MrSonnyworld alesis is waaaaaaay cheaper

  • @JynxandBond The Alesis is selling at my local music store for $549 and the Yamaha is $699

  • @MrSonnyworld Alesis my friend!!! Its a very good overall kit!!And i think it supports double bass!!:D:D

  • when im playing and i hit the highhat the snare makes a noise ?

  • LOL!!! VERY GOOD

  • I just got this kit yesterday!!

  • @MrWankata yes, yes you can

  • what kind of amp are u using?????????? and i have the exact same headphones

  • can u hit the rim around the snare to make a different sound?

  • @villee1995 yes

  • i just bought this kit worth it?

  • dude the bass pedal for this kit is horrible :/

  • Hey, I am going to get this set and I was wondering, do you know if they have BlueTooth capability for if I want to sync them to a wireless amp?

  • @MrWankata Yes you can. I own the same kit. You have to be careful though, the pedal heads must be really close in order for the kick trigger do register the hits.

  • do you need to use a usb for this kit?

  • Comment removed

  • @JDFrates What do you mean only one day?

  • @walawala78

Just realized that this was released in '09, I saw that it said 28th, so I though it was yesterday, considering that I believe you recently got an electronic drum set, apologies

  • very cool stick flicks at around 0:32 man, bet you probably didn't even realise you were doing them! nice kit too as far as electrics go... why do some people bother paying upwards of 600 quid for an electric when you could get yourself a decent acoustic for that!

  • Nicely done. Thanks for upping the video.

  • 0:32 LOL :D :D very good man

  • justin bibier?

  • @neto1a thats what i thought!

  • do you need an amp to play it

  • @jmwallets i think it'll probably have a jack on it, so you can either use headphones or an amp.

  • @jmwallets No !!

  • does the bell of the cymbal make a different sound?

  • do the presets save in brain so you can go midi plug straight into a boss br-1600 and record, or do you need a computer to play these?

  • Are there any chinese cymbal sounds in it or can I mix the set with the Addictive Drums plugin?

  • @MrWankata yeah man you just go mode/voice select the high hat control pedal and insert base and you have a de double bass :) \m/

  • I have drum samples that I use with a midi keyboard, is there any way to assign the samples to the kit?

  • Great demo, man. Nice overall run thru of the kit. (nice playing by the way)

  • Nice demo, but there is nothing like Roland V-Drums. Sorry...

  • is it possible in this kit load another drum sounds? :-O

  • @TheKittlesra No, There is 108 sounds.

  • i have this and i love it but for me the best electronic drum kit is the alesis dm10

  • this kit or Millenium Mps-400?

  • @iPunish3rr Yes, as soon as you hit, there is no delay. It sounds like a real kit, as good as it can sound for 400.00$. No, It sound like hitting your mouse pad with a pencil.

  • @Sweetsticks777 Around 350.00-400.00$

  • I bought these and I had lots of problems with the snare. Every time I hit the snare it interprets it as a rim hit. I updated the software on the module and it didn't help at all.

  • @RadkeMaiden where do upgrade the module

  • @Jrr011497 On the Alesis website.

  • @RadkeMaiden Cool...when i hit the rim it triggers the snare centre sound. But here is the magic, if i hit the plastic of the pad it tirggers both the snare and the rim :D. It seems there is not way to solve this, apparently 90% of the snares have direct problems or cause problems, like the intermittent Hi-Hat. Alesis support is fake and the dealer just can't help. You have to be sort of lucky in finding a good snare?

  • @RadkeMaiden The truth is that the DM6 could be a good toy for beginners if they manage to give proper vendor support to this aweful stuff.

  • is the snare supposed to be quiet because mine is low even though the volume is up really high

  • @Jrr011497 You can change the volume of each individual pad, hit 'Voice' then hit 'Volume' and tap the snare and use the volume buttons to change it, and then hit 'Save' twice!

  • @Jrr011497 You can change the volume of each individual pad, hit 'Voice' then hit 'Volume' and tap the snare and use the volume buttons to change it, and then hit 'Save' twice!

  • @iPunish3rr kit is ok, if you hit ride cymbal you get ride sound and if you hit it harder you get bell sound, its pretty cool. most rubber pads are noisy, if its to noisy for you, than you can buy some mesh heads.

  • JUST GOT THEM TODAY HAAAAAAAA

  • Do the suge symbols work with the dm6

  • @woljdrummer Yes they do.

  • thinking of buying these to use with addictive drums, and later on buy the surge cymbals when i'm rich!

  • does it take a standard headphone jack

  • @LuckiRat Yes, All the Jacks are 3.5mm

  • @LuckiRat Yes, All the Jacks are 3(point)5mm

  • @LuckiRat Yes, All the Jacks are .5mm

  • @LuckiRat Yes, all the jacks are standard 3.5mm

  • Great drum kit, if you're looking to buy one and live in the U.K please look at my ebay listing.

    ebay.co.uk/itm/280736961437?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_928wt_1139

  • Great drum kit

  • Yes, the DM 6 support the double pedal ...

  • would you be able to use a double kick pedal with this? please reply :)

  • @ayeayeish Yes, you just need a standard double kick bass.

  • 2:50 need more cowbells!!

  • Do you have to plug it in to your PC play? Please answer! I am going to buy this!

  • @MrIzzPizz You don't HAVE too, only to record - To hear the kit all you need is Headphones/In-Ears, or an AMP

  • @Jordadahhh14 Ok, so you mean I just have to plug it in to my computer if i wanna record, but if I just wanna play, I can put it into my wall plug and use my headphones/amp? (Once again sorry for bad English, I am 10 years old and from Sweden, and this is probably going to be my first drum kit)

  • @MrIzzPizz Correct! - It's fine - I really enjoy this kit.

  • Are they stabil? Does the pads feel good?

    Sorry for bad English :)

  • @MrIzzPizz Yes, The Frame and 4 big rubber stoppers at the bottom, and the arm are long. The pads don't feel like real drum heads, but they bounce better then 'Real Drum' heads.

  • @Jordadahhh14 Thank You :)

  • @MrIzzPizz Welcome friend! :)

  • Is it worth buying it?

  • @TheLeaguePlayer Depends on what you need. - For learning, Recording, Practising than definitely yes - For a Big gig, No, but for a small gigs Yes.

  • Were does the sound come out of ?

  • @CrNiivoR

headphones or speakers if u plug one in

  • for any one wondering u can use a double pedal and it works perfectly

  • I just start thinking about buy this kit to my house :) nice demonstration i really like those sounds :)

  • you need a hair cut.

  • How loud are the pads themselves? And how big is the whole set

  • @mar101895 Not very loud, Sounds like hitting a mag' with a pen, and it depends, it can be small and compact, or you can spread ti out.

  • @Jordadahhh14 do u mean a magnet

  • @mar101895 Magazine, Haha

  • could you buy one of those dual bass kick systems and use it on this set?

  • @mahoneynick22 Yes, you just need to buy a standard Double Kick Bass, and attach it.

  • Comment removed

  • do you think you are holding the sticks properly ? it looks so different

  • @deathbatter There isn't really a 'proper' way, everyone plays different.

  • Do u have 2 hook it up 2 a PC? and no im not asking about mac i hate mac but can u use it with out a computer?

  • @BLACKSANDMETAL13 It works with PC, and Mac, but you don't have too, only if you'd like to record nice HQ sound. So, No You don't have to use a computer.

  • @Jordadahhh14 thanks.kuz i dont wana do any recording it just i wana be able 2 practise in my room because my acoustic kit is in another building and hate walking all the way over 2 it when i could just practise in my room haha..yeah but thanks bro

  • nice lol this is disturbed

  • If I get the express one ( the one without the ride and 3rd tom) could I add mor cymbals to it?

  • @HUdrummer Yes, BUT it's pointless, You would have to buy an extra pad or cymbal for around 45$ and you would also have to buy a new module that supports the extra pads for around 100$ - So either way you'd spend 500 - 550$ - I'd stick with the DM6.

  • A firm DO NOT BUY!! The snare misses very often when you are playing the hi-hat. This is a known bug that the manufacturer is defending as a feature to "prevent talk back between hi-hat and snare." May not sound too bad, but is incredibly frustrating. No support from Alesis. Beware.

  • @barryshapiro1 No, If you updated it will fix it! I had the same problem.

  • @Jordadahhh14 I will try again. Thanks for the note.

  • @barryshapiro1 You're welcome, I had the same problem, just go to the Alesis.Com and find the model (DM6) and click on the 'Downloads' tab, downlod, and install and it will make is like 50% for sensitive and make it sound more realistic!

    Any time mate!

  • @Jordadahhh14 You know, I am glad I listened to you. I tried this firmware update a few weeks back with no luck. The instructions are a little funky. I came home and tried again today, and guess what...the download took this time. It was about 3-4 minutes to update, whereas before, there did not appear to be any such update. Anyway, thanks again, kid! And you're right. The blasted bug appears fixed and the sound IS more realistic as you say!

  • @barryshapiro1 Good! I'm glad to hear! -Cheers

  • does this amplified drums have a nice sound? cause I need to play in a theater

do the cymbals have a chock system or a dual sound? (on the dome and the edge)

    thanks

  • @jejugo1 Yes, IT has a nice acoustic sound when used with an AMP, I've played in an open park, It was very loud and real sounding. You can choke them, BUT you can buy an upgrade for Dual sound and and choke!

The only default 'daul zone' is the Ride, with has Ride and the bell of the ride.

  • @Jordadahhh14 can't** Sorry!

  • Can you change the toms to sound more modern?

  • @JeserNoob Yes, There is 10 kits, plus there is setting with in the recording programme.

  • i saw these at music center online! $500 is a wonderful deal and sound great!

  • Kickass

  • Fame DD-506 or Alesis DM6 ??

  • Two question 1.In the module are there extra jacks to add more electric cymbals. And 2. Are there settings on it for like the cymbals to be like splashes or chinas

  • @Simplstixx16510

    1. No, there isn't, sorry

    2. Yes, There is! There is only a ride Default cymbal, but you can make it sounds like anything in the kit.

  • is this better than the dm5 pro? becuase i know the dm6 is an upgrade but its cheaper so just wondering :)

  • @PsycoSam2k9 DM6 is a tad better, the DM5 Pro sounds a little more the plastic and cheapy.

  • @Jordadahhh14 really? everyone else says the dm5 pro is better but i dont know does dm6 have real drum heads?

  • @PsycoSam2k9 Well, It depends on he purpose really, and It's a meshy fill to it; I did a review on them if you want to see it, It was a good up-close look at them:

    jordadahhh14 com/new-drum-kit-alesis-dm6/

-Cheers - Hope tthat helps you!

  • Nice. Are the cymbals and hi-hat dual zone?

  • @ransisua No, But if you hit the ride harder it makes different noises; You can buy 2-Zone upgrade pads.

  • @Jordadahhh14 Yeah, I just want to buy this kit for quite practice and record it with drum vsti.

    Thanks anyway.

  • @ransisua Oh, Then yeah this is a great kit for practising, it makes very little noise.

    Welcome

    -Cheers

  • Hi I have a question...I can make the hi hat pedal a kick pedal ?? and if its possible...please tell me how I can do that, Thanks ! :)

  • @ioana6500 Yes you can. Click the kit you want to change, with Voice and hit the Hi-Hat and use the Plus sna minus button the change it.

  • Hey man have u used a double pedal on this kit? Is that possible?

  • @yuckota Yes.

  • u cant play the same sht all the time

  • can i play without wearing my headhpones? (please reply)

  • @CostasBabalis Yes, but you'll an AMP or a USB to connect to your computer speaker.

  • Can you change one of the toms to be a cymbal like a ride or a china? like the second rack tom? Also, can you change the ride cymbal on the right to a crash cymbal? i want (NEED) to buy an electric kit and i dont know which.

  • @JeserNoob Yes, you an change them all, it has slots for custom kits.

  • @Jordadahhh14 oh goonies! Seriously? Dangi want this kit so bad now!!!!

  • Is there a electronic "clapper" on there??

  • you can add a double bass pedel

    ^_^

  • @xXNADAXxCLANXx Yes.

  • Justin Bieber

  • @chrizzle63 Yes, There is a Mixer jack.

  • With three, of course!

  • Hey man I'm looking to invest in this kit, does it come with two or three toms?

  • @IsKrisKrazy 3 Toms.

  • its expandable right?

  • @johnishable No, All you can do it add a Double Kick - I think they have upgrade tho'

  • Is this drukit good for covers such as Foo Fihteres, Muse and Arctic Monkeys and shit?? Or dont you use it for that sort of stuff?

  • @truely12 I'd say so - I mostly do The Beatles covers, but the have a lot of kits, soo I'd say yes

  • MAGNIFIQUEEE !!!

  • Looks like you are rocking the hell out of that set. how has it held up since you got it?

  • Good demo jus another thing to show my dad to convince him to get me a set

  • im taking a lot of extra work to do around the house to buy these, and i have a few questions: does it come with a pedal for the hi hat, any cons about this?

  • @legorampage It comes with the pedal yes - I don't have any cons so far.

  • you can use a double bass peadle

  • @metalhead585 Yes you can, The censor isn't the the pedal, it the actual drum, so yes.
