  • Funny stuff..... these guys were the best in the business.... RIP Ronnie Barker

  • Absolutely hilarious1 This is so ridiculous and fun!

  • so what is an orunga?

  • Cop them eyebrows on the Doctor!

  • Who could possibly forget that great literary triumph:"You Can't Get Nickels From A Parson's Nose" ??

  • Has it got something to with injured animals?

    *applause*

Do you make artificial beaks for disabled budgerigars?

  • When I think of comedy genius, this sketch is what I think of

  • From littlewoods! lol!

  • haha classic

  • probably one of my favourite sketches ever!

  • Those two people have no snse of humour.a legend. R.I.P. Ronnie Barker.

  • IF this is 1984 I'd love to live here.

  • Oooh! Patrick Troughton. Fab! Never seen this sketch before.

  • Anyone else think the Judge should have been Bruce Forsyth?

  • Did the Two Ronnies write their own material?

  • @100Meadows yes they did ronnie barker wrote most of the material under an alias known as Gerald Wiley

  • Ahh… pass lol

  • Got shown this today is class, as we were learning about the two different kinds of Court. Couldn't stop laughing :D

  • This is BRILLIANT! love these 2 guys. RIP Ronnie Barker :(

  • The Two Ronnies proved you don't have to dirty, foul-mouthed, or obscene to be funny. Truly intelligent comedy. Love those two guys. By the way, I'm an American, and I have always thought the British stand head and shoulders above Americans when it comes to comedy.

  • A truely brilliant sketch! Must've watched it a billion times, had no idea Patrick was the Judge. Thanks for uploading.

God bless Patrick Troughton and Ronnie Barker! :D x

  • Bullets is spelt wrong!

  • @SingularSuperNinja Part of the joke. Poking fun at "The Newlywed Game" I believe.

  • @BRileyGBR I'd have guessed "Match Game," myself, assuming it was known in the UK.

  • @MaskedMan66 Match Game was known as "Blankety Blanks" in the UK I believe.

  • @Elric33239 Makes sense. I wonder who had it first?

  • @MaskedMan66 It turns out that we did...back in 1962! If you look at the Wikipedia entry for Match Game, you'll find that at least 7 countries, including the UK and Australia, had their own versions of this game. The Aussies came out with "Blankety Blanks" one year before the Brits had "Blankety Blank."

  • Nyaw! Patrick Troughton was absolutely awesome in this. Barely recogniseable too... a true testament to his talent. X3 Awesome, thanks for uploading this.

  • absolutely fantastic

  • I would love to see a real version of this sketch on broadcast tv as an ACTUAL quiz show lol

  • I'd never seen this sketch before and I LOVE it! Five out of five stars. The Two Ronnies were LEGENDS!

    R.I.P. Ronnie Barker.

  • Nicely said. Shame comedy cant be the same these days

  • Totally agree! The Fork Handles and Mastermind sketches have to be some of the best comedy sketches ever made. This one's pretty cool too!

  • I hadn't seen it either!

  • its outta sync...

  • I've seen the the "Here Come da Judge" routine that Sammy did which was originally done by Pigmeat Markham. The Two Ronnies courtroom sketch was sharp and funny.

  • Why is a courtroom the best place in the world to set a comedy routine?

  • Courtrooms are normally seen as boring and tedious so any joke against this background will work well, as it livens the atmosphere for example, 1:12-1:15 (after playing a gameshow) "...now you are charged with first degree murder..."

  • American comedy couldn't come up with something this funny.

  • You've never seen Sammy Davis, Jr.'s "Here Come da Judge" skits, then.

  • its problely a newer show than this so therefore its ripping of da two ronnies

  • The show those skits appeared on was "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In," which premiered in 1968, three years before "The Two Ronnies" hit the screen.

  • No, but it was two years after I made the scene.

  • I can take a guess at it, but the whole "your mother" thing is so antiquated I think it's best to leave it alone so it can get the rest it so desperately needs.

  • which is what she said

  • That comment would have made a lot more sense if it had made any sense at all.

  • are you a character from the importance of being ernest?

oh and the brits had cracking comedy before america was even invented. read any chaucer or shakespeare lately?

  • No, just a character.

Always found Chaucer a bit dry, frankly. As for Shakespeare, I performed in two back-to-back (and very different) productions of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" only last year.

That's my fave Willie the Shakes play, actually; all told, I've been in it four times and played seven characters.

  • Get an education haddersz...Do you even know who Sammy Davis jr is? Or are you trying to be ironic.? "Probably" you are not...

  • reminds me of vic and boba judgemeg in big night out made 7 yeears later

  • great sketch

  • lol

  • One of the many examples of comic genius to grace the world of entertainment from these two - brilliant stuff.

  • Anybody else notice the judge spells the word 'bullets' as 'bulets'?

  • I like the two Ronnies

  • its mentally out of sync

  • I didnt notice that Patrick Troughton played the judge until you mentioned it! XD

His son was in Doctor Who recently

  • I thought the judge looked and sounded familiar! He did a lot of TV work over the years, but I had no idea that he worked with The Two Ronnies! Excellent!

  • It was a return visit for him; he was also in "The Curse of Peladon" with Jon Pertwee back in the 70's.

  • essence!

  • "What was the conclusion of the police?"

    "He was dead".

    You're right - they're truly brilliant.

What's My Line?, Mastermind, Call my Bluff, Blankety Blank, Charades...the list goes on. Wonderful stuff.

  • Love them Great.

  • PATRICK TROUGHTON!!!!

  • cheers! didn't spot it until i read ur comment

  • Brilliant is the word - I shall never see another pair as good as these two & thank you for sharing this with us Natalie

  • brilliant
