  • Shizzle.

    Still feels complicated.

  • @jugbir That’s the most difficult one though. Practice and it will just come natural. Buy the book, even better!

  • Hello Bryan

Videos are great, one thing that leaves me a little perplexed is are you measuring pipe centres for your marks or bottom bottom top top in relation to centering your mark on the former , if you could clarify that for me please that would be a big help.

  • @jinxmather

Don’t forget; top to top and bottom to bottom measurements are all the same as centre to centre

If you mean the mark on the pipe when aligned with the side of the former, then where the mark is will be level with the bottom of the pipe when the bend is finished.

Sounds complicated when written but it’s not.

Hope this clears it up for you

    Bryan

  • @ivorbiggass Hey there bryan i want to buy your books but cant find them on ebay could you post a link for me thanks, really great videos, thanks

  • These videos are great. I keep coming back to them. So much easier to understand than at College. Great work Bryan and thank you uploader for uploading.

  • Wicked pipework does not matter about how practical it would be on site at least it shows how to do the work , it is up to you how and when you use your skills.

  • There will be more videos and animations covering other aspects of plumbing. As a plumbing teacher, most of the material will be aimed at plumbing students, but they can be very useful for the handyman also.

The videos are intended to point students and DIYers toward the books I am producing, although I hope that the vids are useful on their own.

These materials are the beginning of what I hope will be a long and comprehensive program for all student plumbers.

  • Have watched them all, are there going to be more of them? Cheers.

  • Still i thank you for taking the time to comment

  • As a plumber of 40 years plus I understand about site work. Most experienced plumbers can do these exercises by eye. However these videos are written for students doing the City and Guilds 6129 or 6022 courses. As the practical tasks for these courses allow only +or- 2mm and +or- 2deg. from their specifications, they need to ‘fanny around’ in order to pass.

Most tutors teach these bends using paper templates, which is even more ‘fannying around’.

  • Great videos Bryan mate, but this one is far too longwinded & complex..........What you must remember is there's no fancy vises, squares, rulers etc on site & most Plumbers are working on piece work - so no time for all that fannying around!!

Thanks for sharing & I look forward to viewing more of your videos.

  • @TheDickPuller

    lol great name..

I think they are shown more for the college application and the 6129 C&G booklet.

  • hello

i have watched more or less all your videos and have found them so useful also they are so simple. I have just started my plumbing course and the teachers make it so complicated and i just dont have a clue whats going on, but after watching your videos i have a better understanding of it .

    thankyou so much.

I was hoping you would post more videos on other stuff such as pipe threading or soldering copper pipes infront of timber boards etc. please!

    Anyway..Thank you so much.

  • well. Watch this space!

  • i have to say it's very useful!!!
