  • Wow These dumb wannabe motherfuckers on here who call themselves "Redneck" are giving us a bad name. I've owned and worked on more V8's then these people will in their entire life, and have built more racing mowers and ATV's then these people will ever own. and I am all on for Electric vehicles. Performance wise, and the Range is getting better and better its looking real promising. All you dumb fucking haters. Please don't say your "Country" because you're giving us real country folk a bad name

  • @14omega28ok No, it isn't. Battery tech just isn't up to it, and then you run into the whole "Electric sounds like a power tool, V8 sounds fucking awesome" problem.

    V8s > Electrics.

  • @TestECull Lmfao unless you build old Muscle cars like me, Then you don't give a fuck or even know what a real true V8 sounds like. These new Cars (Even muscles like Camaros and mustangs) are so fucking quiet you can barley hear them run. I'd rather a Silent ride or slight whining, then the annoying starved restricted sound of a modern day fuel injected V8 Engine just begging for room to breathe.

  • @14omega28ok So I guess I've never driven an AMC Gremlin with a 400HP 360ci AMC V8 then...could have sworn I did, though, I even remember throwing 900 miles of tire life onto the pavement when I got a bit happy with the clutch...and I guess I never rode in a '67 Mustang with a built 351 Windsor packing a 272 cam, 750CFM dominator and flowmasters, either...that thing would roast the tires through all three gears.

    Heh.

I do agree that modern V8s sound a bit whiny, but there's always mods.

  • fucking tree huger.

  • 4x4?

  • @burt faggot

What happens when run out of gas. o wait fill it with beer

  • That... different, I think ill stick to my gas powered Grizzly though

  • Can anyone tell me who is the Italian manufacturer or assembler

    *********

Judging by many of the comments, I'm amazed you guys can even operate a computer ;)

    • The Electric Tesla is quicker than the Lamborghini, Maserati etc

    • Electric motors have 100% torque from zero RPM...instant

    • riding an electric ATV will change your mind kids

    • internal combustion is about 26% efficient; electric about 85%

    • Coal Power Plants very efficient; way more than YOU burning petrol locally

    • Charge w/Solar

  • @rossasaurus

Please contact us at info@hb-as.com, we can inform you where this quad is manufactured and where it is available. Similar vehicles are now also on sale in US.

  • Best song ever

  • "Shucks, left the lights on again...wheres the pull start?" LOL

  • With the amount this thing costs you could by a top of the line petrol bike and fuel it for 3 years

  • @Hardscript do some research before you make a dumb comment like that. you can get a used manta motor for next to nothing, 10 hp continous, and up to 28hp for 45 seconds. batterys arent that expensive, and a contoller, so for about 600bucks plus a quad frame. and it would only cost pennys to "fuel up" the only down side is it just isnt as fun and are too touchy.

  • Pollution free it is not. That electricity was derived from somewhere, and not without creating some pollution, unless it came from solar and wind sources only.

  • @Chemicalogic

It creates drastically less, though. Isn't that worth something?

  • @Zamboro Sure. I just find the statement "pollution free" to be misleading. Electric vehicles are more efficient and cleaner than their gasoline brothers, but they're not magical.

  • @Chemicalogic

Boy, I'm sure glad nobody ever said they were magical. Because yeah, that would've been silly.

  • Where can I buy such a quad? What brand is it?

  • thts fuckin sick! i live in CT and would really like one mainly cause there quiet so you can get closer to ppls houses on their land :P

  • Silent pollution free and 100% Retarded who wants a silent quad anyway !!!!

  • BadBoy

    UTVs...

    They've a damn

    good arguement

    for electric...

  • who the fuck would want an electric quad?

    horrible idea

  • @JosephMBoyer Tree huggers and hunters. This quad could revolutionize hunting since you cannot hear it.

  • @JosephMBoyer

Um .. there's a big market for them.. so do the math Mr narrow view

  • looks like the kawasaki brute force's fuked up brother

  • 60 miles at 55mph sounds pretty good actually, maybe not as much as a hassle as people think

  • Good thing they dont have this stupid shit in America. Leave it to the foreigners to do retarded stuff like this.

  • You know, part of being American used to be leading the world in technological progress. Then anti-technology guys like you started holding things back.

  • @Zamboro lmao

  • @R3DBULLX23 Units like this are in America, The capacities are greater than you seem to be aware of . Have a nice day .

  • so would one of those be able to cruise at 50 mph for like an hour like my 2006 trx400? and then need just 3 dollars of gas to fill it back up? well my real question is whats the range on one of these things

  • I dunno bout the one in the video but my motorbike does around 60 miles at 55mph. Charging takes 3 hours to get to 80%, then another hour to get to 100% and level the charge. Less of a hassle than most people imagine, since most places I stop at have an outdoor outlet anyway, I just leave it plugged in while I'm in there shopping or grabbing food or whatever.

  • electric sucks

  • ide wrather use gas, but i would look into a hybrid ^^

  • cool--that will keep the pedalers from whining like little fairies

  • you might as well buy an EZ-GO electric golf-cart

  • they look really gutless and it would suck to run out of battery power in the middle of nowhere

  • it would really suck if you ran out of gas in the middle of no where. same thing only electric.

  • all you need is a gas can to fill up thou

  • they come with a power gauge ;)

  • Comment removed

  • There are lithium ion batteries. And it's pretty dam hard to crack one open.

  • oh, well im just telling every one ok?

  • For longer trips i have tried solar power charging. However the AMP requirement charge time ("C" rate) for for either battery type is to low.

I found a really small & light portable gas fueled generator that has a built in battery charger that pushes at least 5 amps. A couple hours on half a litre of fuel is better than most of the other alternatives.

While this is not a Layman's term for a hybrid .

    It works.

  • So you'd be using Gas anyways? wtf.

  • PM sent : not enough room to explain the test here.

  • Good video.

I've tried an electric in a 300cc 4x4 with manual transmission.

Granted the driver size/weight and battery weight + cargo weight is an issue.

However with li-ion tech. Electric drive is becoming very attractive. It's so nice and quiet that i often miss the rumble of an ICE. Creeps me out a little.

    Used a pack of 30x18650 protected li-ions .

Tried 24 and 32 volt configurations as well.

A lead acid battery is more practical but much heavier.

  • I think they are neat, I have road ATV's all my life. How long does a Charge last on one ? I believe you can drive about 20-30 miles on a charge, I believe I read, or heard that somewhere. 35 mph is about there speed, that is fine with me, I like the quietness of them. Could sneak up any kind of game animal.

  • Why have so much lights? Wont that chew up the batterie even more?

  • yes it is

  • is a 409 a car?????

  • chevy engine 409ci.

  • yes

  • it's not pollution free. The electricity comes from a power plant which probably doesn't use clean energy

  • maybe they have wind turbine, or sun cells.... or perhaps u r right but still nice not to pollute where you play

  • Looks like a modified Loncin ;-)

    Water-Proof?

  • lmao better hope it is lol go thru a water ditch and get electriqueded half to death

  • what happens when battery dies. o wait just plug it into a tree

  • @burtonbrd31 what happens when u run out of gas, make more?

  • try putting a trailer on it dumb shit

  • OHHHHHH!!!! wow, they can go through a puddle!!!! WOW!!!! thts what I plunge through on my atv!!! LOL pretty cool tho...i cant see me going muddin with that tho. lol

  • well it doesn 't require air so as long as you could breathe it would go. There's lots of advantages to electric motors. Instant full power and even the capacity for more power than a gasoline engine. I could see this having immense applications in the special operations field.

  • Right up untill the batteries die. Then, you have to push the damned thing alllllll the way back to the charging station.

Or, with gasoline, you can put some spare gas back in and fire it right back up.

  • @TestECull Actually with batteries you just wait, about 15 minutes and you got about the amount of mileage too get you back home.

  • @14omega28ok Nope. The battery tech just isn't here.A fifteen minute charge might get you two or three miles. Oh, and we can't forget how the performance drops like a rock as the batteries deplete, and then there's the whole "Shit, I'm fifteen miles from everything out in the woods and this jerry can is fucking useless because I bought into some hippy bullshit electric ATV. God damnit. Now I have to push this thing fifteen miles."

ICE > Electric, and that isn't going to change for many years.

  • i bet they only can hit like 35 max..

  • I was just going to same thing! Also, I wonder what the charge/run time is on these? Like two hours of run time, for a 8 hr charge? When i go riding, i run more than that before breakfast. so no thankyou.

  • So when a dozen of us go quadding in the mountains for a week, do we just bring along a big diesel generator so we can charge them up all night as other campers try to sleep? Hmmm. I think they would work well for those who don't take them anywhere. What happens to the batteries when they die? land fill? I am not being negative..Just asking.

  • Running out of gas...or running out of juice..same difference..except when you fill up you don't double the value of the vehicle

  • but when u go out and go riding instead of taking a generator to charge the battery u just carry a gas can and fill it up the extra money is worth it

  • Guess this is what we will all be riding, even after the idiots figure out that CO2 isn't causing global warming. But that's another story.

  • great for areas that the bicycle faggots have had closed to quads------quads of all types rule the worlds backcountry

  • I still would perfer the gas but those are ok but idk 350cc are way faster same thing with a lot of 250ccs

  • :) in spite of silly and ignorant comments this atv is very succesfull and more performant than someone can imagine...uses of this kind of eco friendly vehicle are far from uses of normal engines vehicles;)

  • ya but thats givin less money to the sand niggers in iraq

  • I but you use the same amount of gas at the powerstation as you would use in a regular gas ATV just by charging this gay shit at home while actually paying more on your Electric Bill

  • MicRulwhatever - yes, completely fucking wrong - it's very cheap to charge - leave it on overnight (cos you're not gonna drive it then) and it will trickle charge at the rate of a few cents (or pence) per hour - might not even get to a full dollar (or pound)

  • Over 370 ft lbs of torque, more than the average car and yes, one of these can even pull a car! Sadly the range is very, how do you say, a short coming.

  • ya i agree with nkanupp. BF for life!

  • that is the most stupid thing iv ever seen u couldnt go on long trail rides and i bet it dosent have much power. i would rather pay 15.00 to fill my quad up than run one of those pices of shit

  • its like one of those gay little tike power wheels

  • TREE HUGERS

  • how song does the battery last

  • The battery lasts for about 150 songs LOL!

  • hahahah rofl :DD

  • LOL!

  • they cant go in shit all

  • I meant Arctic CAT diesel ATV, not the arctic diesel fuel itself.

  • Hi, know what you meant! Artic is slang for ariculated lorry where I come from. 'Arctic' is the place up North where Santa comes from. Man, your spelling is POS! Still reckon electric atvs are the business. Have a purpose. Of course if you like paying money for your fuel Gunnz, go for it!

  • I'd buy an Artic diesel atv and run bio-diesel before ever getting on one of those POS.

  • Pure biodiesel or diesel mix? Diesel price is going up big-time too? I'vet test-ridden this. Not POS. That's seriously loose talk. Its made in EU using US parts. Whats POS bout that? ps I think its Arctic unless you're talkin bout a truck!

  • great for mom & dad to tool around the farm but it would suck for the battery to die out in the woods somewhere.

  • But there's a state of battery meter, so how would you run out of juice? You plan ahead. Running out of petrol, ok you can bring a jerry can, but its not so clever either?

  • Yea, it would be totally different to run out of electricity rather than gas???

It's ok, people were afraid when cars replaced horses. It's just natural to be afraid of new things.

  • Ok cars i like the idea, but not ATV's.

  • this is sad. this is probably going to be the future of quading.

  • Well, your other option is to just stop riding.

  • And toothbrushes too. Whats the world coming to?

  • who cares

  • wow! really amazing!
