How about a video telling your opinion on the NYC protests, bank scandals... artist perspective, living in NYC... would be great! ... but that type of direction might put you in the poor house.
maybe you have to feel nice rather than "try" to be...like you said there are genuinely nice people and some that are only trying to be so in order to have a certain return... i think if you just try to be someone that you are not truly believing in its not the same, whether for yourself nor somebody else...
What I get out of being nice to others, whether they return the favor or not, is it uplifts my mood. It makes me happy. So, maybe think of it as being nice to yourself and improve your state of mind. Believe me when I say, there is no way to make people realize that you are being nice to them. I am nice and take special care to be nice to everyone. The people who are not returning it may be in a bad situation. Who knows maybe someone will be nice to me when I need it most? Just a long thought.
i'm generally a "nice" person (unless i am pmsing). i don't really put too much thought or effort into it. i think it just comes naturally. when i see that someone is repeatedly taking advantage of my "niceness", i cut them them out of my life. i just try to live positively. being mean just takes more effort than being nice. ..at the same time it makes me miserable along with others, so i see no point.
A clear conscience in knowing that i dont have to look back and regret anything I did or say. I get to sleep at night knowing that i did my best. I have often wondered if those that chose to be difficult have any internal remorse. After a while, you learn to detach emotionally understanding that its really nothing that i did wrong. However, lately The day you disrespect me and fail to acnowledge your actions is the daymy relationship changes.
Nice is good. The golden rule may apply here-treat others as you would like to be treated. I guess just treat others with respect. Open the can of 'jerk' only when you need to. It may not be too long before Lorraine & Brian have kids...and they will be looking to you as their role model, so a nice guy isn't so bad! I see you as such an intelligent man, I'm sure you are not quite the jerk you say you are.
xoxo Melody
ps. I can tell that Lorraine really admires her dad!
What do you mean by *I'm a jerk* ? Are you brutally honest and this is why people think you aren't *NICE* Because to me , you seem like the type of man who doesn't like or take BS from anyone .. *shrugs* I am nice when I want to be .. depends on my mood/day .. And to those I love ,firstly. If someone is nice all the time I find them *suspicious* .. lol Omg does that make me a JERK?!! :D
I think maybe expecting people to return the kindness "immediately" is what you are dwelling on. I try to be a "nice" person because I know SOMEDAY the good karma (or whatever you want to call it) it will be returned/recognized. However, waiting for something requires patience and that is one of the most difficult virtues to have.
you were nice for just a couple of days and you suddenly expect to get appreciation and good outcome ? that's naive, be nice so you'll be peaceful knowing you did no harm to anyone

Oh, wow. This sounds a lot like me. Now, I am going to have to reevaluate everything again, Maybe being nice is for our benefit, not theirs.
